We had seen this truck parked here all week, but this night was the night I would commit to trying it, and I am happy I did. I can't even remember the name of the sandwich I got, but I know it contained three meats and that was enough to this carnivore to get it. The sandwich was delicious, it hit the spot, just what I needed at 3:30 in the morning, I highly recommend you try them no matter what time of the day you get the craving. BTW, the location on Yelp is wrong, or they have a second truck.

So we found this food truck not far down the street from the DoubleTree. Their menu was not that hard to understand even for non-Spanish speakers for the most part, but then when it comes to something novel ("What is a fongo?"), the lack of an explanation and choppy English-language skills might not help very much. So after a bit of pointing and gesticulating, we ended with an artisanal burger and some fongos pollo. The food was OK - freshly prepared and quite substantial. For my taste, it relied a bit much on grease and mayonnaise. Still a decent taste of local fare - or IS it considered authentic local fare? Apparently, they are pretty big for a food truck - 5 or 6 different locations at least, depending on which truck you want!

They have a parking lot for about 5-6 cars. When we walked in, I noticed the art around the walls, and read some of the quotes. The menu has a variety of items, mostly your typical mainland American breakfast like parfaits, oatmeal, waffles/pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, avocado toast, omelettes, sandwiches, and other things. It appears they also have some lunch items. I mostly wanted a drink, and was instantly drawn to the matcha latte. I think the iced one only comes in the 12oz cup because after ordering I realized I did not specify the size and I got the bigger one. It is $1.50 more for whipped cream which is a bit steep, but it was good and also a lot of it. The color (green) was a bit lighter than what I am used to, but that allowed for it to be creamier. I am not sure if they use real matcha or a syrup that it matcha flavor but the matcha was very subtle. Nonetheless, it was very good, especially after mixing in the whipped cream. The service was really good and quick, and our waitress was very kind. They speak both English and Spanish. My friends ordered lattes, the oatmeal, the parfait, and pancakes with eggs/bacon on the side. They were all also satisfied with their food.

We had missed their brunch by about 30 minutes, and were surprised to see that it takes up about half of their menu! Not only that, but the options looked amazing! Did I mention it's all vegan? After lots of back and forth, we finally made some decisions. I decided to get their burger wrap, which was such a treat. One of the highlights is definitely the agave mustard that they put on the wrap. Everyone really enjoyed what they had, which included cauliflower wings, burgers, and salads. We even decided to get dessert. Three of us got the brownie, and the other got a cookie. This was not your average brownie -- it was a brownie in cupcake form! There were some thick chocolate chips in it and it was fantastic. I could have had two of them, though I know that would have been a bit gluttonous. I saw that this place is fairly new -- it opened last year! I hope they stick around, because they're awesome. And they were playing reggae the entire time! It doesn't get much better than that. This was our last meal of the trip and I got to say that it was a great send off! I feel like I'm going to have all the recommendations for any veggie friends that visit Puerto Rico in the near future.

Tip for the Mallorca burger: turn it upside down when you eat it so you taste the sugar on your tongue when you bite in. Definitely worth a stop. The vibe is great! Family friendly place to hang out. EDIT: we came back for more the next day. I got the lokal fries with a side of ranch and the cauliflower buffalo wings and my husband got the same bucee as last time, the onion crunch. Buffalo cauliflower wings were ok, but I was not that impressed. I usually like when you can't taste the cauliflower and the ranch was not great. It was too thick to dip the wings in too. The onion crunch was great as always.
