8 person pontoon rental
Wendy M.

We've rented twice now from Dukes Creek Marina. Both times the boats have functioned properly and we've enjoyed our time on the water (8 hrs for a full day rental). They rent towables, allow dogs (for a pet fee), and make pizzas since places won't deliver to the marina. You should always take a picture of the prop of the boat before you take it out as it could be a different person checking you in.

Dukes Creek Marina is the way to enjoy your summer for any special occasion!!! They are super professional and have outstanding customer service. I have been going to Dukes Creek for over 15 Years. Every time is always the best! The boats are always in excellent conditions and well maintained. The front desk and deckhands are super friendly and very informative. I will try to sneak another trip in before the season ends. Thanks for an amazing time always!

We had a great time on the lake. The pontoon boat we rented was in great shape. We will rent again soon!

This exception is not…read morebased on random experiences, rather a 20+ year history of having Rob fix all the stuff that naturally needs attention to a heavily used 29-year-old boat (1994 MasterCraft), AND our son's MasterCraft. For brevity, I'll simply provide a list of what I know about Rob: Tangibles: - Great mechanic - Knows boats - power, performance, history of quirks/tendencies - Dependable - what he commits to, he delivers Intangibles: - Memory (beyond boats) is uncanny - years ago I stopped saying, "you work on a lot of boats so I wouldn't expect you to remember..." I stopped because he remembers your name, boat and what he has done to it. - Knows the Lake - Very careful/mindful of your boat while it's in his care - ex: he takes off his shoes when in your boat. Who does that? - Honest/trustworthy - I don't know if it's instinctual or purposeful, but he gets it. The only way to be successful for as long as he has; ya gotta be honest & trustworthy.

Rob obviously has a heart for helping people, and he's wonderful to work with. There have been multiple occasions where our boat had a problem and Rob solved it quickly, easily, and gave us multiple options to stay within our means. Some friends on another lake always joke that BOAT stands for "Break Out Another Thousand", but here at Lake Anna we get to say, "Bring On Another Thing to Rob and get it done RIGHT!"

May be out of business…read more Not sure if they are still in business or this is just another fly by night company looking to make a quick buck. I spoke with Nikole before memorial day about some work I needed done on the boat. She said she needed to get some details and would call me back the following day. A week later still no call so I call her asking for an update. She reaponds with apologies, asks for engine serial number which I promptly email her - here we are yet another week in the future and still nothing from them.

They took our Sylvan deck boat in October to winterize it, replace the carpet, repair a navigational light and the gas gauge. I chose the carpet via messaging pictures, sent a check for $1100 in November as they would not order the carpet unless it was paid in full. I contacted Promarine in February to let them know that we wanted the boat back in the water the middle of April. I believed this would give them plenty of time to complete all repairs. Many calls, texts and their excuses, we finally got our boat back at the beginning of July WITHOUT the carpet and NO WORKING navigational light, gas gauge, horn, tachometer or volt meter!! In addition, while in storage, a tree fell onto the boat and damaged the back right corner (our insurance company has compensated us for this), but Promarine is not capable of making these repairs. Finally, on bringing it back, they blew a tire (new last summer) and ruined the rim. The boat worked for two days and now will not start. We replaced the battery, still does not work. Promarine will now not return our calls or texts. Bottom line is that we received our boat back four months late, in much worse shape than when Promarine received it and we are out $1100 and do not have a working boat. DO NOT USE PROMARINE FOR STORAGE, REPAIRS OR ANYTHING ELSE--UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY!!!

We spent every vacation I can remember on Lake Cumberland, KY at some of the most impressive marinas anywhere -- I know a good one when I see one. Sturgeon Creek is a small operation in a relatively secluded part of a smallish lake. In fact, it is just across Lake Anna from the Nuclear Plant. (So close you can FEEL the anti-neutrinos flowing through you!!!) Sturgeon Creek is small but done very well, with an engaging staff. They mainly rent out pontoon boats -- 3 flavors to suit your needs. We rented 'Old Blue', a 24 foot model that would seat a soccer team, and has a 60 horsepower motor. Top end speed was 20 mph -- I clocked it on my Garmin. That's exactly the right speed on a lake that is 10 miles long. The facilities at Sturgeon Creek were surprisingly good. A great little picnic area. Very wide launch ramps if you bring your own boat. Modern gas pumps, with pay-at-the-pump capability (and no more expensive than a gas station). No current, no wind, no waves to make things difficult. Sturgeon Creek is on a peaceful little outcrop of a large cove -- just 30 seconds from the main drag. If you're looking for an easy way to see the lake, I highly recommend giving Sturgeon Creek a try. Say hi to Campbell -- he's the old guy sitting on the porch, doing the job I wish I had.

Great customer service and easy access to the lake! Use this ramp every time we come to Lake Anna!read more
