July of 2023 I ordered a Ford Maverick from Schiller ford, I knew it would take some time so I was patient for months, it wasn't until I heard others who had ordered from other dealers months after me and already had build dates that I became annoyed. I started contacting the dealer periodically to check on the status and was always just told Ford hasn't picked up the order yet and they can't give me any updates. When I heard a couple people I know that ordered in March 2024 and already had build dates in June, I began to get angry. I contacted Ford customer service and was told they had no record of my order and I would have to talk to the dealer. I told them if I could get any information from the dealer I would t be calling them. I then sent an email to the CEO of ford and head of customer relations and within a day I was contacted by ford, they took the information on my order escalated it and gave me a build date. Something maybe the dealer could have done months ago and I wouldn't have been waiting for almost a year. The same guy also told me that the dealer had a few others stuck in their order banks, so if you ordered from Schimmer and have been waiting a long time you're welcome. Your vehicle might finally be on its way to production. I had told the dealer several times that I wanted to be notified as soon as they got a build date because my fear is they would wait to call me until the truck was on the lot and then low ball me on my trade saying take it or leave it we will just sell it to someone else. They assured me they would so I would have time to sell my trade myself if they were unwilling to give me its value. I waited three days after Ford had located and scheduled a build for my truck and still no updates from the dealer. I wrote a letter to the president expressing my dissatisfaction with the follow-up and customer service and why did I have to be the one to go to corporate and get this order moving, why didn't any of his staff take the initiative to find out why it was stuck in limbo. I received a snarky email back with absolutely no appologies and basically telling me to feel free to buy the truck elsewhere. I have waited almost a year, my trade is now a year older, interest rates are higher. If he had offered even one apology for his staff not following up and a willingness to do the best he could on my trade, or in any respect at least pretended he wanted to earn my business I would have gone through with the deal. But he might as well have told me to F- off, go somewhere else. So that's how they treat their customers.

Upon arrival and test drive, we discovered that not only was there a vibration in the steering, the reverse camera that was listed as a feature on the vehicle was not functional. Not only did Schimmer not offer to deduct the cost of the repair of the camera from the selling price, they refused to do so even after I offered to still buy the car - minus the cost of the camera. We drove 500 miles round trip in the rain for nothing. Needless to say, it was not a Happy New Year. Thanks for nothing, Schimmer. You guys suck!

They had my car for numerous days, set unrealistic expectations, missed a huge issue, my check engine light came in the day after it was serviced on a long trip. After telling them about the issue they missed, they were going to "make it right" and they have stopped returning our phone calls. They have now missed out on an entire family taking our business there for the next 30 years or so. If you're local go somewhere else, dealing with there servicing department alone is not worth it.
