Bought some bathroom tile here a while ago. Service was ok. They had the exact style of tile we were looking for but the pricing was a little more than I thought given the look of this "discount" style store. However did end up buying the tile. Had a pretty good selection of stuff but most of it was not my taste as I like more of a modern look. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Ben Palumbo is a piece of shit. Andre and Rollie are equally as bad. Nobody was even capable of showing up when they said they would. No call. Had to chase them the whole time. Absolutely garbage workmanship in every aspect. Grout was washing out after a week, drain not even glued in! No caulking at all. Honestly laughable how bad this job was done. Paid them to do a shower reno and took a month!! Was to be 4-5 days. Shower wasn't even waterproofed properly and leaked into my basement!!!!! I had to pay a decent contractor to redo the shower! Not only that but they have not paid me back any of my money. Fuck all these people. Any advice on how I can hang them would be appreciated. Needless to say I'll be rubbing the DUFFERIN TILE name through shit for the rest of my life. read more

The girl at the front was very helpful (ask them for help and they go out of their way to do things)Their price was way lower than all the tile centers we visited and the quality was the same. read more

This is in response to Jon P (jonathon Petrie) review on Dufferin Tile. First off Jon, Dufferin Tile had nothing to do with your installation by me, Ben , Andre and Rollie. You came to Dufferin Tile to purchase some tile for your installation. There was no discussion at any time or did I state that Dufferin Tile was involved with Installation. Why you would post your issues on this account is beyond me. This is uncalled for. As far as the work we done at your home The work we done at your house wasn't only a bathroom renovation but also front entrance and 2 kitchen backsplash and under kitchen lighting as well. The bathroom was suppose to take up to 7-9 days to complete entirely and another 5-6 to complete the rest. (Approximately 15 days total) there were some issues getting started due to unexpected problem that occurred. When we explain it to you there didn't seem to be a issue with it!! Your installation was a bit difficult and was more work than we anticipated ! But the time frame for installation was not unreasonable ! We completed the entire job and you were satisfied. We got paid the balance remaining without an issue. You called me after about 2 weeks and you stated that you have a small leak in the shower. Rollie came right away to access the issue. He told you that he was responsible for that and that he will come by to fix the problem in about 5 days ! You called me back and stated you want it done sooner than later. At that time you only had to wait a couple more days for Rollie to repair leak. You stipulated that you had someone else to do the repair ! I asked you why would you want to pay someone when we are coming to repair the leak etc. But you wanted done right away and didn't want to wait ! That's up to you! You had someone else fix the problem and you didn't want us to repair it after I told to wait a couple more days and it'll be done right at no expense to you!!! That makes a lot sense to me and most people as well!! You asked me if I would help pay for repairs? I said no by we are willing to come there and fix it. You decided to not let us fix it because you wanted it done right away. And did not want to wait 2 days. That's what you decided !! This is on you!! Not us!! And for you to write this review blaming Dufferin Tile who had ZERO interaction with Jon P!!! I suggest you write an apology to Dufferin Tile who you wrongly mentioned in this review!! Hello Jon, - this is a response to the post from Jon P 2021-04-11 I'm sorry to hear you were upset. It seems that Ben has responded to your comment, clarifying that Dufferin Tile had nothing to do with your job. While I have known Ben for many years, he does NOT work for Dufferin Tile. He suggests our store as a place for customers to shop. Dufferin Tile installations are done by invoice, the same type of invoice we give to customers purchasing tile. Further to this, had this been a Dufferin Tile installation, I (James Hardie) would have spoken with you at some point. Not only am I typically the primary contact for people who purchase an installation from Dufferin Tile, I would certainly have been directed as the contact if there was some sort of problem or concern with one of our installations. I have no recollection of speaking with you about this problem at any point in time. It appears, to our view, that you have posted a negative review on Dufferin Tile because you had a disagreement with a contractor who suggested you purchase tiles from us and wanted to lash out at someone - even if they were not responsible in any fashion. Even in your detailed frustrations with Ben, there is no mention of any issues with the tile purchase - the ONLY part of your interaction that Dufferin Tile was involved in. If you have any further questions, or even if you have any further concerns, you can call our store at (416) 674-4500 and ask for James. Regardless, I do believe that your review should either be amended, if not removed entirely.
