The next part, finding a photographer who was available the day I wanted, who was good (really good!) and reasonably priced. I did research the way I always do...first I turned to my friends. "Help!" I said, "I need to find a photographer in the Hudson valley or Catskills for a family photo shoot. Does anyone know anyone?" No one knew anybody. So, then I turned to Yelp, cause what else do you do? I reached out to 5 photographers...and from the first email, Denise stood out. She was friendly, to the point, and had a beautiful portfolio to share. Her prices were reasonably and she exuded a warmth and sincerity, even through emails, that was palpable. I booked her. When she showed up at our rental house to photograph all nine of us (ranging in age from 3 to 77) she was nothing but professional, friendly and gracious. She was on time (to the minute). And full of energy and guidance. Our hour of photo time went quickly!! it was fun! And, even though the youngest had a few minute long meltdown, Denise was not phased...and ended up getting some of the best photos during and after the meltdown. She edited and emailed the photos so quickly! And even got my hard digital copy in the mail super fast. The photos themselves are gorgeous, and there are quite a few we are looking forward to framing.
