However, my overall experience with her ended in deep disappointment and frustration. If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.

Sometimes we all need another perspective and Jaime is a great design partner. Jaime is well known for her excellent staging work, but also consider her for interior design.

We moved into our townhouse two months ago and have been without window coverings for that time…read more Our poor neighbors! We contacted a few window treatment companies but some didn't reply at all. Must be nice to turn away business. 3 Day Blinds was very professional. We had three visitors: the initial sales person, a person to double check the window measurements, and the blind installer. Throughout the entire process, we were assured that items and work were guaranteed and that we should be patient because of delayed shipping times. That wasn't new to us since that's been happening all over the place. We were surprised that the blinds actually showed up a littler earlier that estimated! Now the shades can be drawn and we can finally sleep! #ServiceStarShoutout

Whenever we tried to call our Customer Success Representative, she was unavailable. She also wouldn't respond to our emails. The only time we'd hear from her was when there was an update, such as our blinds being delayed. Despite the poor customer service, we needed to finish covering all of our windows, so we placed a 2nd order. We ordered 6 blinds. The seller, Shirley, really didn't seem to want to be here. She spent most of the time talking about the show homes and higher end properties that she does. It very much felt like we were beneath her. I paid 50% deposit and was told they'd contact me to take the rest. Fast forward a few weeks, and two of the blinds arrived the wrong size, and one was an entirely different style. And when I say wrong size, I don't mean just slightly, I mean at least 5 inches (see the pic). Shirley was so distracted that she wasn't even able to do the most fundamental part of her responsibility: accurately measure. They had also taken the remaining payment without contacting me to confirm. We were verbally told they would be remade and reinstalled in 5 days time. Then we got a call from Sarah in Customer Success who wanted to confirm the measurements as well as understand the problem. She was constantly chewing and very hard to understand. She also didn't really seem to care. It was as though we should be lucky to be their customer. After the call, we got an email saying the blinds would be delivered to the installer March 7, meaning our blinds wont be installed until after that date. I contacted Sarah requesting an explanation on why it is so long when I was promised an earlier date. But, as per our usual experience with Sarah, she cares so little that I've not received any response. 3 days later, I've followed up asking to speak to someone in management, but have heard nothing - knowing her she's just ignoring us. At least the blinds are good quality... UPDATE: So despite a comment from the company saying they monitor the case, I am still waiting to hear from management or anyone with useful authority. I have chased Sarah multiple times since the initial review, and even messaged the commenter to this post! Unlike their about us page, I really do not think that everything this company does is guided by the one principle of delighting customers.
