Best pizza I've had in Florida since leaving NJ. The staff was super nice. Definitely eating here whenever I visit the Tampa area. Went the following day to bring back 2 pies home. Got there a bit early but they had them ready within minutes for me when I said I wanted to bring some back home for the kids. Let's just say they didn't last when I got in the house with them. Pizza by the slice, a group of us stopped in since we couldn't decide what to eat and wow we were surprised. One of the better pizza places I've been to, the owner was nice and explained to us what each pizza was before we ordered. We stopped in on a rainy afternoon while visiting Ybor City. At first it seemed like it was kinda slow but it quickly became evident they do a rushing carry out business. The owner was a very jovial guy. We had two slices...both were toasted to perfection. They had Yuengling Flight on tap which was great...I've not seen that on tap before. Their desserts looked delicious, especially the giant slab of tiramisu, but we were too stuffed with the pizza! I'd give this place 2.5 but I can't do I'm going to estimate this up. Let's start with Im a NYC native now living in Florida and of Italian descent so pizza for me is a very touchy subject. We arrived in Ybor looking for a snack before we sent my son off on a plane. We figured we'd sit at the bar and get better service... eek not so much. We sat and a lady came in and the dude behind the bar took her order ahead of us. (There were two people behind the counter, one reheating slices and the other taking orders.) After we ordered we found out the slices we wanted were out so we ordered margherita pizza. I don't do much meat on my pizza because my stomach doesn't handle oil too great... Well instead we got meat meat meat slices. I didn't say anything because we were in a hurry. I took off all of the meat and used the napkins to pull it off. In the end it all worked out on the pizza the crust was good , not great as it wasn't very flavorful and when you reheat a slice it doesn't always work out for cheese... it was ok. The sauce was really light and I'm a huge huge sauce fan so it was a bit of a disappointment. read more

The salad was great and perhaps the best presentation the cost for everything was perfect. I wish I can put 5 stars but they don't serve water, you have to buy a water bottle, not easy if you care for the environment. Also the seating is awkward 80% of the people can't see the games on the tv ... what's the point of having so many screens. I have heard great things about this place on social media and had to try. We got in and was greeted by a gentleman and we asked which pizza slices was which and he helped us out we picked 3 slices and then went to the register which another gentleman struck up a great conversation with us. He was nice and polite we told him that we heard about the place from Mr tampabay on Instagram and we told him they were highly recommended. The gentleman told us thank you and explained that the pizza is not for everyone. He was very honest which we appreciated. Cool spot in Ybor. I think this is a newer pizza place because I do not remember it. It is right near gaspars grotto. We were here on a Thursday night around 1 am after having some drinks at another bar. They have a wide selection of flavorful pizza offerings. I got the margarita pizza. The margarita was different from any other because it has drizzled with balsamic and fresh mozzarella. I got one slice which was enough because they were huge New York style. The restaurant itself was big and at 1 am it looked like they were making pasta from scratch. They have their own sauce as well that they make in house. I really loved the decor and the have a wine wall as well. Comfortable seating and it was very clean. Very delicious pizza spot! read more

The decor was urban, the place is well lit, and there was a variety of pizza glistening at the storefront. Unfortunately I was too full to eat a slice but the bite that I had of the Margarita was pretty good. My husband enjoyed it more than the plain cheese. Really really good pizza right here. Been to the joint a few times, always had a slice of pizza and a drink. If you walk down the Ybor strip you will definitely be enticed to go into Due Amici since you can see several pies from the window. The pizza never disappoints, and definitely fills me up because the slices are huge. There is always someone making pizza, and at night I've seen them make everything from scratch. Can't get better than that! The only reason I gave 4 stars is that when I used the women's restroom, there were two stalls: one of the doors was off its hinges and leaning against the wall, and the other had no lock at all and just swings in/out. I mean, that doesn't stop me from going there to get more of their food at all, but if I go in again and see that the restroom is fixed I am very willing to update this review to 5 stars. read more

This is no Papa John's and it certainly isn't a Little Caesars. This place is next level good. It is off of 7th ave. in Ybor so there are plenty of pizza joints to choose from. I had to come out to Ybor every other week for work before and every once and awhile I would treat myself to lunch here. When you walk in there is a whole assortment of different pies to pick from and you can order by the slice and they will throw it in the oven to cook right after you order. I had the bar-b-que chicken and my fiance had the buffalo chicken. Both of which were incredible. They have their own brands of past sauce and even water. I'm not sure what would make their water special but since this place seems pretty authentic Italian (accents and a kitchen area in the back where you can see them making everything), my guess is that their jars of pasta are going to be good. They serve wine and beer, but their selection could be a little better. They only have a handful of wines but it is taking up their entire selves, so they clearly have the room to provide more options. If you are looking to come here, it is still Ybor so be prepared to take a hike to get here. Though, Ybor is always a nice place to visit so if you are hungry and looking to spend a little extra for a slice stop by here. read more

Totally felt like I've written a review for Due Amici. It's one of my favorite spots in town and has been for quite some time. It's hard not to visit them when I'm in Ybor City. The quality of their pizza is higher than most of the spots in town and you can taste the difference. It's a little bit more expensive than competitors as well ($3-5 a slice) - but quality isn't cheap. They also have a wide variety of Italian food, wine, and beer. The service is your typical take-out pizza spot setup, come-in and point what you want and boom you're in and out. Plenty of seating if you want to stay and eat there. The best part is that it is open late. They close at 3am on the weekends so you can get a quality pizza even when the reliable chains have all closed their doors. P.S.
