Very rich and yummy donuts. They are more of a cake donut but I love that they are made fresh and warm. It did make the eating process a little messy so be prepared for clean up but it was delicious.

When I googled top Donuts places in Utah, Duck Donuts popped up. I had a small window to stop in a few weeks back as I ordered a 1/2 dozen donuts. I asked the friendly employee to give me her 6 fav donuts. She told me it would be 5 minutes or so as they are made to order. What was actually made to order were the toppings of the donuts like their S'mores or Bacon in the sun. The core donut itself was already pre made. You won't find any long John's here. They also offer breakfast sandwiches as well besides coffee drinks. Nice spot, clean, plenty of parking and perfect for kids whose expectations of donuts are not that high.
I have to start of by saying I don't like sweets very much and when I decide to eat a donut I don't ever consider getting a cake donut lol however, these are by far the best cake donuts I've ever tried. The maple bacon has never been appealing to me but somehow this one worked. The employee who helped me was so nice and patient when we couldn't figure out what we wanted and the store was clean and welcoming!
What's all the quack about this donut shop?! We could see the line from outside and had to satisfy our curiosity. Turns out this is not just any ordinary donut shop. For donut snobs, you gotta check this place out! There are so many donut selections on their menu and you also have the option to build your own custom donuts, all for the same price. There were too many flavors to try and we couldn't just settle for 1 or 2, so we decided to order a half dozen for 2 people. From the photo I uploaded: Top row: Blueberry Pancake, Maple Bacon with Sea Salt Caramel, Island Bliss Chocolate with Peanut & Coconut Bottom row: Chocolate Bacon, Strawberry Vanilla Surprise, Peanut Butter In Paradise My favorites were the ones with bacon, because the salt from the bacon offset the sweetness of the donuts so it was a nice balance of sweet and savory. The other favorites were the island bliss chocolate peanut coconut and the peanut butter in paradise. The peanuts added a crunchy texture and also balanced the sweetness. The donuts were freshly made and very soft. If you like cake-like donuts, then you will love these! The donut designers who decorated our donuts were a very happy and upbeat group. They were all smiles and very sweet, just like their donuts! They made all the patrons feel warm and fuzzy, and it was like a donut party in the shop! Definitely swing by to get your share of sunshine!
Duck Donuts is a cool concept with a poor product and execution. This made-to-order mini donut shop sounds like fun, so I decided to check it out -- especially since I love Krispy Kreme and their "Hot Now" donuts. I was hoping Duck Donuts would be equally delicious since they were fried up fresh and customized. Their product doesn't even come close to the light, airy, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness of their competitor. I arrived around 10 am, and there was nobody in the store. The menu is confusing, because there are a lot of options. You start with the base, a freshly-made vanilla cake donut. Then you add coatings, toppings, and / or frosting. Let me tell you, the more you add, the sweeter and less tasty the donuts were. I opted for a 6 pack, and I topped them with a variety of different flavors and options (coconut, chocolate, peanut butter, Oreo pieces, powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and more). I watched with excitement as the fry guy behind the counter cooked up my donuts! He topped them with care, and handed me the box. I was so excited until....I lifted the lid. My donuts looked very unappetizing. Since they were topped while they were still hot, all of the frosting and toppings ran together in a melted, gooey mess. It was gross and they looked gross. You can't judge a book by its cover, so I dug in. Wow. What a disappointment. None of my donuts were very good. The first BITE wasn't even good. The donuts were the best when they were warm and fresh. I had a bunch leftover so I kept them around to have for dessert later in the day. They were inedible when they were cold. Honestly: INEDIBLE. Eat these hot or don't bother. I also ordered a cappuccino, and donut shops should have excellent coffee to go with their wares. The cappuccino was undrinkable. I hate to write in such absolutes, but I could not drink it. Two sips and I was done. It tasted like tree bark and was very poorly made. Do not order coffee here. I really wanted to like Duck Donuts, but this place is a major bust. Yuck.
Looking for breakfast this morning and it had to be donuts. I was warmly greeted. I mentioned I'd never been there and they pointed out menus for breakfast sandwiches and 'made to order warm donuts.' They do not serve filled donuts, only cake donuts with the promise each will be warm and fresh. Promise kept. There is a huge selection of glazes to choose from. I ordered three donuts, a plain, chocolate frosted, and lemon-lime frosted. I sat down and bit into the plain donut first. It was very warm, still crisp on the outside with a almost custard-like center that only truly fresh donuts have. The glazes were delightful. The lobby is small and austere but very clean. My donuts were quickly prepared, boxed and served. This was truly an superb donut experience and I would highly recommend them to you.
Hey doughnut fans!!! This was a discovery that I did not expect to find. In a small shopping center, just tucked away. It was so amazing the quality of the doughnut. You place your order and they make it while you wait. It was cool to see there process. I was so intrigued by how smooth there operation was, you had a variety of options to you choose from. I went old school with the maple glaze. I was not disappointed at all, nice and hot the way it should be. I will bring my family here to have a taste of heaven. Come and try it
This business model may be good in theory, but it is poorly lacking in execution. We went on Saturday around 9:30am. This was our first time there and we will not be back. A fresh donut sounds great, and the texture of the donuts are good, but they are very sweet. Also, $22/dozen is crazy expensive IMO. The donuts are always being made by a machine and when their tiny dish fills up, donuts fall all over the counter and floor. This is such a waste of product and is probably why it's so expensive. They really need to put the flavors on the bigger menu screen so you can decide what you want early on so it doesn't take forever when you walk up to order. The person taking our order did it incorrectly, he mixed up a donut but we didn't notice until we got our order. Speaking of getting our order, the workers make the orders in any order they want (pulling tickets from the middle). There were numerous people who ordered after us, yet got their order before us. We only got a dozen, so it wasn't a massive order. They also asked our name when we ordered, but failed to write it down. When our order was ready (30 minutes later) they said "We have a dozen that doesn't have a name and just started reading the donut names out loud." My husband said he thought it was ours and got it. Luckily it was ours, but anyone could've easily grabbed that. The other thing that was off-putting is one worker lifted up his shirt so that his full stomach and nipple were in view so he could scratch his shoulder. Then he didn't wash his hands and just put gloves on. The other worker coughed into his gloved hand and continued making donuts. This place is not good enough for me to ever go back after dealing with that experience. Customer service goes a long way in my opinion, even if the donuts were the best I've ever had, I still wouldn't come back. Do better please.
A cake in a donut shape, that what it is! Very yummy for sure, but not a donut. My favorite was the one topped with bacon and my second favorite was the whole chocolate one. The cashier was very helpful, she suggested me a couple of good flavor combinations that were really good. The person that prepare the donuts was very quick. Why I couldn't give this place 5 stars? Because I arrived 10 minutes before closing and the employee on the back of the store got really mad and was yelling that the store was close. Another employee told her to shut up because I could hear her. She didn't care, she keep complaining from the back in a loud voice so that I could hear her. One last customer arrived after me to pick up his order and when we left the same employee that prepared our donuts, closed the store's door at 8:04 pm, 4 minutes after closing time. ***I'm attaching a screenshot of my phone showing that my donuts were being made at 8:01 pm by a helpful employee.
These donuts are delicious! As you can see in the picture, I couldn't resist trying one immediately. They have so many different flavors and unique combinations. The staff was super helpful and recommended their favorites. We'll be back for sure.
This place is so fun! They have flavor ideas on a little menu by the cash register of you can create your own. You choose vanilla or chocolate cake, a frosting, and a topping. My maple bacon was exquisite. They're generous with the bacon and the salty is so good with the sweet maple. Plus the donuts are freshly made and warm. The kids loved watching the donuts get their toppings and asked if we can come back soon. I was fairly certain I ordered a chocolate cake donut with chocolate frosting and didn't see that in the box when the employee asked me how my donuts looked. I pointed that out to her and she quickly got a chocolate donut for me and gave it to me in addition to the others. She was so nice about it!
Pretty cute spot. Friendly staff and tasty donuts. All donuts are order to make. We really liked our selections! Hot, fresh and tasty!

Donuts made fresh for my grandson's birthday. Unfortunately, they were made while I waited because my dozen preorder (from yesterday) never arrived to the store. Lead employee said the owner usually emails the order. No apology. While waiting, i ordered for myself (paid for it). I asked for a water cup. Employee stated "there is one right there", which appeared to be used. There were no napkins in two of two napkins holders. To top it off, one employee cussed (children in the store). Although the store is cute and well thought out, with four employees, and doing nothing-I'd be surprised if this business lasts. I hope the donuts make my grandson happy. read more

Today, 01.11.2019, was the opening day for Duck Donuts, in South Jordan, UT! The lines were bananas, but, like a proper well-oiled machine, they moved people through quite swiftly! It was perfect, because it's been snowing, all day! But, Utahns LOVE their sweets and this donut shop is no exception! They serve these delicious, made-to-order do-dos (that's what we call donuts, in my family) and they have such a huge selection of topping varieties, that you can't go wrong! My current favorites, because we only got half a dozen this time are the #blueberryglaze + #bacon and the #peanutbutterglaze + #bacon. If you don't like bacon...we.clearly can't be friends! :P lol They also have donut flavored shakes, a variety of other drinks and donut sundaes! We will def have to come back another time, when we're able to sit and enjoy more treats! Congrats on the opening Duck Donuts! Y'all are off to a great start!!! xx read more
You know what my favorite thing is? Dessert. You know what another of my favorite things is? Donuts. You know what my newest favorite thing is? A donut shop that also has dessert. Citizens, how do we not give full credit to a place that does it all? Milkshakes, donuts, donut sundaes, all custom and fresh? I went in the middle of a Saturday to try this place out. Like literally 2pm. I didn't know donut places would still be busy at 2pm. But here we are. The line was long and almost caused me to walk out. I'm so glad I stayed. I got myself a half dozen, including a French toast, powdered, 2 maple bacon, chocolate with coconut, and churro with icing. I was disappointed with zero of them. The price was incredibly fair, too, I felt! (Tip: I think you get a better deal if you order by the half dozen or dozen rather than singles.) While I waited, they brought out a hot sample donut ripped to pieces, which made me even more excited for mine to be ready. I'm going to say the true deliciousness of these donuts lies in their freshness. Eating them hot makes all the difference. Sure, they were still good later (and good reheated in my air fryer!), but they were awesome when they were warm. Don't eat them in your car unless you have wet naps. They are messy! I do wish they'd pass order forms down the line while people wait to save some time. I'm not sure if there's an app to order or not, but that could be helpful. And I also wish they'd be open later. Because usually I want to fulfill my dessert dreams after 8pm on any given night. So once these things happen, I'll give it five stars. For now, I was happy with my experience and will definitely be back. Good thing it's not closer to my house, or it might become a problem. read more
The first thing you'll notice about Duck Donuts when you walk in is that there are no donuts anywhere. You won't see a big display case of sugary desserts to droll over-everything is made fresh, right before your eyes. This is a fun change of pace-and I'm sure is a real draw for people who like something a little fancier than a traditional glazed donut. There are items on a menu that you can order, or you can customize til your heart's content. The folks that make the donuts are friendly and seem like they could make a great concoction; ask for recommendations of their favorite flavors. We stuck with the traditional glazed this time, but may try something different later. The base is a cake donut, which is then customized with icings, flavors, sprinkles-whatever you want. Ultimately, they are not my favorite donut; I prefer a yeast donut to a cake one, but they are still good. And the fact that you can have it custom made, fresh and warm, is a fun spin on a tasty treat. read more
When I heard the rave reviews about Duck Donuts I thought eh, I don't love cake donuts. I'm a raised donut lover. But I still wanted to give this place a try. And I tell you what - is more cake donuts were like this, I would like them so much better! They're not dense and thick. Still light and really tasty. It's a lot of fun to choose what kinds you want to get and see it made. The one thing I didn't love was that they put many of the toppings on in the box. So the toppings sometimes get on other donuts. Which most of the time is totally okay. But bacon on the lemon was a bit different... Anyway, they really are delicious. Even left over the next day. Still tasted really good and didn't harden. My personal favorites - the lemon with the raspberry drizzle. The lemon is not fake/artificial tasting. It's good. And the chocolate frosting with most anything. read more

I liked the idea of fresh donuts, made in front of you. The donuts were warm and so fresh it fell apart easily. And my only quirk is that the donut got stuck to the box. Service is friendly and explained the process well. The deco of the place is fun, entertaining, and clean. read more
We just dropped in for a snack and ended up getting 1/2 a dozen for $10. We got blueberry pancake, pumpkin drizzle, apple pie, island Bliss Chocolate with peanut and coconut, Oreo, lemon raspberry. It was empty the service was fast and patient. The employee explained how it worked. All of the donuts are premade and the same flavor they are dipped and topped with different goodies!! So yum. Our fav: lemon raspberry & apple pie. read more

I had these doughnuts a lot in Virginia. Was excited to see that they have made their way to utah!! They are good no matter what but I recommend eating them fresh when they are still warm. I love creating my own - my favorite is cinnamon with lemon drizzle read more
The donuts are made with a bit of batter per one of the servers which gives it a thicker texture and not too hallow of a donut. One donut will probably fill you, I had the bacon donut which is my favorite. I love the bacon pieces and everything else on it, it's such a perfect dessert anytime of day. I added 3 photos here of the dozen donuts I ordered. The cinnamon ones were my 2nd favorite, it tasted like a church donut and made you want to go back for more. The 3rd runner up for me was then the blueberry glaze. I love a blueberry donut in general but this one was exceptional! I highly recommend you try this place if you've never been, you have to try it out and get all of your sweet cravings satisfied in one place. Been here 3X -- & 5 stars!! There is a gentleman who has dreads, he's tall I'm bummed I didn't get his name. If you happen to have him as your donut maker, then your good hands! read more

So yummy!!! My fiancé and I stopped in yesterday after wanting a sweet treat to cool off from the heat. Their menu consists of a variety of toppings to create your own donuts. If you don't feel like creating your own concoction, you can choose from their menu of recommended flavored combinations of donuts. In addition, they have donut sundaes, ice cream, milkshakes, and coffee. The two young ladies at the cash register greeted us when we walked in. They were helpful and explained the menu to us since it was our first time. I decided on a s'mores donut sundae and my fiancé ordered a cookies & cream milkshake. Both our orders came out pretty fast. The donut was served perfectly warm and it paired well with the ice cream. It just about melted in my mouth. My fiancé enjoyed his cookies & cream milkshake. It was just what we needed. Definitely a great place to stop in for a delicious dessert! Highly recommend! read more

Sign said they were closing at 1, but the doors were locked and closed at 11. I'm sure the donuts are great but it's pretty untruthful to put a sign up that you're closing at 1 and then close 2 hours early. Also, there was definitely an employee in there and she avoided looking over, even though I'm pretty certain she saw us. read more
Glazed! Bacon! Maple! Lemon! Sugar! Chocolate! Oreo! French toast! I could go on, but you probably get the gist! They have a lot of choices. And fresh, from the magical oil vat donut making machine! I got chastised for eating the last of the grocery store donuts, so we had to procure more. Been hearing about DD for a while and decided to try it. Now I have to forget where they are or I'll die of clogged arteries! All of the ones we got were excellent. And Hot and Fresh! All good things in my book! read more
We first discovered duck donuts in South Carolina two years ago! Then when this one opened up we were so excited!! They definitely are great donuts but you have to eat them day of purchase otherwise they aren't as moist. We love their amazing flavors and that they are made fresh! 4 starts because we've had a couple different times with order issues. We will still go back because, dang. They are good donuts! read more
