Gas stations dispense gas for cars. 2. Cars need gas to go. 3. Fusion power is not yet available to power vehicles (unlike in those lying Back to the Future movies). #2 makes #1 inherently required, you have to go somewhere. #3 is just annoying, but the fault of poor research by Hollywood. However, I think what puts Maverick above the curve is the stores themselves. And this particular location has a big, modern, clean store with plenty of variety of goods and has friendly service on almost every visit I've made. As a result of this and the fact to boot it also has plenty pumps so you can always get in without a wait to gas up makes this my gas station of choice. I try to support Maverick since while not a wholly local chain, it is one of the bigger ones in Utah and certainly limited to only a handful of Western states, many of which are the lesser populated ones.

This is not one of those 7-Elevens. It's always clean and well-stocked, employees are friendly, and there are usually a handful of cops there. It's definitely an above-average convenience store and I like to stop here on the way home for a beer or gas. Today was a crazy experience though! There were two guys who got in a confrontation over place in line/social distancing. A young woman named Kait, who couldn't have been any older than me (early 20's, couldn't be 100 pounds soaking wet), was working the counter. She seemed to be the only employee on premises at that time. The two guys were arguing right around me, I was literally stuck in the middle of them. Both of them were being overly aggressive and threatening physical confrontation. I tried to tell the one guy who was obviously the problem (cut in line, ignoring social distancing) to buzz off and he completely ignored me. Both of these guys were at least 200lbs and 6 feet tall. Kait showed no fear or intimidation at all and protected her company's interests and removed potential for liability as well as maintaining her own personal safety. She removed both of these aggressive grown men from the store verbally without engaging in their confrontation. She was entirely professional yet assertive. She did not swear or take sides, she simply removed the aggressive people from the premises and made sure no physical altercation occurred on the property of her store. The two men left in their respective vehicles. There was no loss of merchandise, potential liability to the company, and Kait remained composed and professional the entire time. I was honestly shocked. She did so amazing, I couldn't let it go unsaid! I called the corporate office to let them know how outstanding Kait is and how strong this young woman was in her composure and handling of the situation. If this were the business I manage, I couldn't have asked for a better response and conflict resolution from one of my employees/co-managers. Kait, you did so great! You handled this better than anybody I know could have and you should be proud of yourself! I know I am (:

"Holiday gas stations' gasoline meets the Top Tier standards, ensuring that customers receive a quality product that supports engine health and performance." With all that said, today my review is for their coffee offerings. Of course they have as the traditional pots of coffees in a variety of flavors... always fresh and very good. If you bring your own container they will charge you a refill price. However the potted coffee is not available all day. For those times when you want a cup in the afternoon, they have a coffee machine made with fresh beans. There's also a cappuccino machine, also made with fresh beans. Believe me, this criteria does include plenty of other choices to stop at. However, for gas this one tends to generally be cheaper and more convenient to get in and out of. Add to that, the interior is very clean, including the bathrooms, and customer service here is always great. Service is fast and friendly to boot. What more could you really want or expect? I've found this to be common with other Holiday stations I visit too, especially when compared to other chains around the valley that seem a little more sketchy.
