There's really nothing that can compete with this course in the area in both quality of the course and the immersion of nature other than Sand Creek. The employee's were great and helpful, cart girls were friendly and were around when needed, and manager John was a class act. Would highly recommend this course to anyone in the area, really one of the best if not the best. Pros - Good management - Tons of nature - Course is fairly well kept compared to others in the area - Price is reasonable Cons - There are a couple long walks which can be troubling for walkers. - Practice facility is missing a well kept pitching area, would be a great improvement if the rough was cut to fairway length around that area. You're really only limited to 30-40y pitches.

There's so many different holes in which you feel like that's your own little world because each hole is its own entity. And u feel so chill looking I've the amazing landscape of dog legs and undulated terrain. Plus the greens are so nice so fast but fair. But also barely any ball marks at all. But the thing that really makes this place shine is its employees and golf pro assistant and chairman. Ken Zagrocki and Andy Higgins; are class acts. True dudes dudes and make this place even more fun to play. Thank u

Decided to try this Lake County Parks course out today with some friends. It's a small pro shop…read morethat has the bare necessities to get the job done. Any wind damage from the severe storms the other week was cleaned up but the whole corse was a lake. The starter said it's wet out there but what we encountered was horrible the course should not have been open. Some greens had standing water and most fair ways were reflection ponds. The entire course was a nightmare not worth the $45 at all. There was a ranger driving around but he didn't seem too worried about pace of play. It took us 5 hours to play 18 holes. Finally cleanliness! The carts we were given had empty beer cans and used tobacco pouches in the cup holders along with trash. Then the concession stand out on the course needs the health department to make a visit. The hotdogs toppings were all sitting out on the counter for anyone to reach into and not in an ice bath or date codes on them. The hotdogs were just in a large metal pot on a falling apart stove boiling. The color was pale and sickly, the girl after touching cash and other things with barehands reached into the buns bag and put the bun in the microwave to warm it up. My friends had dogs and said they were fine but the reality is that concession stand would not score well with the health department at all. I will not be playing here again.
