I'm sorry to resurrect this but I am now finished with Dublin Ink and had the single worst experience of my life!
I've had tattoos done in 2 different countries and this was the worst tattoo pallor ever!
So I bought 2 vouchers for 1 hour tattooing (one was a gift) after doing my research, of course. We booked an appointment but had to cancel (a week beforehand) due to unforeseen circumstances and here is where the whole think kicked off so the person I spoke to said that it would be no problem blah blah ans I asked to reschedule he said that he couldn't because there were too many people in the computer and asked to call back when we came back into the country, I thought it was a bit strange but ok . Then I get a call the day before the original booking asking if we were still coming in, of course this was highly unusual since I had cancelled but the guy apologised and rebooked us straight away. Saturday 4 pm. Saturday comes, excitement grows and we head into Dublin ink. So we get there and find out that not only was our booking for 4.30 but they were running, possibly, between 2 to 2.30 hours late and he asked if we had had anything to eat as it is better to get tattoos with a full stomach. I though, WHAT?? 3 hours waiting and patronising much???, though, for some reason I said ok that we would come back. After talking a bit with my partner we decided that this was too long as we had a 3 hour wait plus another 2 to 3 hours tattoo for him and 1 hour, maybe more, for me, after he was done. So I got greeted with a "Oh we are sorry but this is the nature of the business" Now, after seeing like 8 people behind the counter I refuse to believe that:
1. No one can pick up a phone to warn the customer
2. No one knows the meaning of time slots and punctuality???
So then we asked for our money back and was told to come back the next monday to pick it up (oh, forgot to say that this was a grupon voucher).
Actually showed up tuesday afternoon hoping that they would get their sh*t together and was greeted with a ah it will take 24 hours so tomorrow. I said enough is enough and called the manager and he said they post the money to me that day. Waited until friday and nothing called again and was asked to wait a bit longer if not the manager would deliver the money personally. Again and nothing. Called and finally true colours came out when was told that "if it is such a big deal then you can come in next week and the money will be waiting".
So here's to you Dublin Ink, it is a big deal and this is not how you treat a customer. It might not have been much money to you but it is my money and time you are wasting.
I would advise everyone thinking about getting a tattoo in this place to think about it long and properly before you commit your money, time and body to these messers.
Rant over!
Thank you for listening...
