The kids sit inside chairs which are styled after cats, planes or fire engines and there are cartoons playing as well to keep them distracted. Other places I have been like this had toys also which they could hold to keep them distracted. Here it seems like things are for sale rather than free to play with while there. The toys were also quite overpriced. I wouldn't say we had the best experience as my son started crying a bit, as they tend to do in a strange new place, but the hair stylist just launched right into the cut rather than waiting for him to calm down. I think this just made the whole experience less pleasant compared to our less cut. They have a special for a first cut where you get a certificate and a lock of hair. It is a nice keepsake and the cost is about €15.

I was given a 20€ voucher for here for my birthday last year, and found that I couldn't actually buy anything with it as their cheapest piece of jewellery was 22€. I'd recommend you go elsewhere. You'll save money and feel appreciated.

It also means they are likely to do a good job. I stopped in one day and asked a few questions regarding a piercing I need to have looked at. The guy working was professional and really informative, and he let me know that the kind of piercing I had had in my ear was basically a novelty piece and was the reason my ear kept reacting badly to it. He said they had the right kind of barbell I needed. I bought the piece and he put it in for free. It also should be mentioned that they have weekly specials. When I stopped in, you could get your nipple pierced for a mere 25 euros! Not bad.

Enya is: Patient - Despite having this appointment on the books for months, I still didn't know what I wanted or where I wanted it, even by the time I walked in the door. Enya was so kind & accommodating. We tried different stencils in different placements & carefully narrowed down the design together. Kind - I was immediately put at ease in the shop. Enya, Francesca, (the artist with the station adjacent to Enya's) & all of the other folks in the studio were so welcoming & friendly. Funny - I was hooting & hollering quite a bit during the tattoo process. The time flew by. I felt like I made a few friends. Talented - It came as no surprise to me that Enya is a graduate of one of the top art schools in the country. She has an incredible imagination & wittingly executes her ideas on paper & on skin. My introductory and subsequent emails were answered promptly, which is a bit of a rarity in the tattoo world, sadly. I was flying in from the US for the session and they were very helpful in terms of the info needed to wire my deposit . The preliminary sketches -with options for colour and black and grey - were also delivered in a timely manner, which was delightful. I arrived the morning of my session and was met by a chipper lady behind the desk - Jacqueline is pretty awesome and personable - who handled the paperwork quickly and passed me off to Maja. Maja's portfolio is quite lovely, especially her black and grey work, so I had faith that she could fulfill my expectations. She got my final approval of the sketch, arranged the stencil over the art to be covered and then we set to work; the whole time she was easy to talk to, made sure I had breaks if I wanted them and generally was quite responsive...and she's also got a light touch, which made the 4-something hour session fly by. My arm is still healing, but the ink was put in solidly, there's a lot of nuance in the grey and she did some brilliant highlighting in addition to flawlessly covering up the original piece. I have total faith that it'll heal beautifully and I'd actually be willing to fly back out to Dublin just to get more work done by her in the future. (and if I remember once it heals up I'll post a picture)

I went here for my first tattoo a few days ago and had an amazing experience. I knew I wanted to…read moreget a tattoo while in Ireland and this place had really good reviews, so I looked at their artists. Ash had work that spoke to me the most so I sent her a message on Instagram asking for her pricing and describing what I wanted. She got back to me quickly and we got something on the books for when I was free during my trip. You pay a €50 deposit when you book and the rest has to be paid in cash after your session is done. When I arrived they checked me in and Ash came and got me a few minutes later. She let my friend come back with me for moral support and to help me answer questions. Ash showed me the sketches she did based off of my request and we made a couple of tiny edits so it was exactly how I wanted. She then printed a few size options out so I could figure out how big I wanted it to be, then she printed out the stencil. Once I got in the chair Ash was very gentle and walked me through everything, answering all of my questions. The tattoo itself hardly hurt at all. I'm someone who has chronic pain so I'm used to being in pain all the time, so that could explain why the tattoo pain didn't bother me at all. I just chatted with Ash and my friend the whole time and was totally fine. The tattoo itself took about an hour and a half to complete. Once we were done, Ash put on some Second Skin and walked me through the aftercare. She gave me a few sheets of Second Skin to take with me so I could make sure my tattoo was protected while I wandered around Dublin for the next few days. She answered all of my questions and I left feeling confident in my ability to take care of my new tattoo. I'm now three days into the healing process and it's doing great! The first night was brutal and I was kept up by the pain most of the night but after that it was much more manageable. I have it uncovered now and am moisturizing it whenever it gets dry or tight feeling. I can't wait for it to be fully healed in a few weeks! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would definitely go back again if circumstances allowed. If you're looking for a fantastic tattoo parlor, this is your place!

And talking to some other tattoo-fans after I found out that for the time spent on my tattoo and the amount of detail it was quite possibly the cheapest place. They know my hair better than I do at this point and I always feel like a million euro leaving this place. They wash your hair without even asking which was not something I expected but it really helps get my mane under control before they do their magic. The dudes in here make some cool chit chat and are generally super chill too. Very knowledgeable about all types of hair too. This is now my go-to place for the auld hair taming. Recommended.
