The beer tour was OK - you get to see different parts of the brewery and since we came on a Sunday, nothing was actually happening. I gave this tour a three stars because I hated the silly yellow vest and the eye goggles that I had to wear . Even though the tour was quite informative, I felt that the guides were not *that* knowledgeable as they could not answer some people's questions. The beer tasting at the end of the tour was quite interesting, you get to try two beers that are only available in Tasmania. The local cheese that they serve with the beer was pretty awesome!

I can here with my sister and her partner. We decided to just have a few pints to taste and check out the museum. Cute little history of the brewery but would probably be boring for the kids. We then got a cheese platter and sat out in the sun trying different pints. The cheese selection is pretty good. I recommend getting some of the cheese in the store to take home. They also have some beer on tap that you can only get in Tasmania! Not all of their beers are on tap though.

Seven Sheds is a small brewery in Railton, Tassie. It is hard to spot as they have only small…read moresignage on the main road and is located in what looks like someone's shed. It's easy to overlook this brewery because they are not advertised in the usual tourist map. However I read about their victories and praises locally and knew we had to stop by. The owner seems to like to keep this brewery on a small/ boutique scale, when we visited you can look out at a the different hops growing at the back and there was 1 guy tending them lovingly. The brews here incorporate other local produce including the raspberries from Christmas Hill farm and the Inca dark chocolate stocked at House of Anvers. Give them a go and they can ship to you if you want some refill.

Head outside and learn about the history of the brewery and what the street looked like in the 1800s. Next head into the brewery to see where they store the ingredients, how they mix their recipes, and how it eventually gets bottled and ready for shipping. The robots were cool to watch as they moved legs, aligned cases, and wrapped pallets. At the end, you get to taste three beers. We tried St George, Red, and Green. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the tasting complex itself was roomy and well appointed. I especially enjoyed the historical exhibits, available seating outside, some cool souvenirs (notably the tea towel), and chatting with a nice couple from Adelaide. I would have stayed longer, but Fred was ready to go.

On a girls' holiday up north recently, we didn't have plans to stop in at Spreyton but a twist of…read morefate brought us right past the cidery on our way from Devonport to Cradle Mountain--and I couldn't not stop the car. I've tried a couple of Spreyton's ciders in the past and liked them--the Dark (featuring hops) and the Bright (the lightest and sweetest of all five). I enjoyed being able to try the Vintage, Perry and Classic as well, and we ended up walking away with a bonus bottle of the Perry, of all five. Spreyton's tasting paddle of all five varieties plus a bonus bottle of your favourite variety, all for $10, is spot on. The tasting is presented stylishly in a wooden holder with the names of each variety printed into the holder, so very easy to remember! We were guided through the tasting by a handsome Spreyton Cider gent, which is always a welcome addition, and without us even asking he suggested we could share a paddle rather than spending the $10 each. This designated driver says thank you. Being from the south, I'm a semi-regular visitor to the Huon's Willie Smiths and Pagan cider cellar doors, so I have to draw a comparison. For cost, it was great--WS charge $12 a pop for their tasting paddle of four varieties, a little more cider in each taste but no takeaway bottle, and your tasting is DIY once you're handed the paddle. Pagan don't charge a cent and Harry takes you through the full current range of varieties including some cellar door specials, but that's part of the reason Pagan get five stars from me. But back to the cidery at hand. Spreyton have a really lovely setup out here, a wonderful covered space with plenty of picnic tables overlooking a section of the orchard, which would be particularly stunning when the trees are in bloom or covered in fruit! All being said, Spreyton--I like the cut of your jib. Keep up the good work.

She was honest, she had a nice sense of humour, and we found her to be a dynamic presenter. The whiskey is amazing, and we got to try several different types during tasting. A nice detour if you're travelling through Tasmania.

Went to the Nant Distillery with my husband for a fun day out. When we arrived we really enjoyed…read morethe scenery etc. Then while taking the tour we were made uncomfortable by one of the female staff members shreiking from a section of the distillery. Once we sat down for lunch, the shreiking had luckily stopped. When we ordered, one of the staff managed to spill whisky on my top as he threw the glass down. The food platter was less than appetizing as they obviously do not keep proper health regulations. When I asked about it, the young woman shrugged her shoulders and said "It's fresher than you are." I was so offended. Without eating the awful food my husband and I left thoroughly disappointed. I do not recommend anyone to visit there as they obviously have no idea about health and safety, manners or good service. Oh and I'd also like to mention that the Atrium bar looked like it had been decorated by an insane person. I hope whoever owns this business is ashamed by the obvious faults and should stick to less challenging tasks then trying to run a business.

Prices are fair considering you get a well topped pizza. The amount of grease you see on the pizza box is kind of expected but I have had a friend say it was way too greasy but I think he forgets its takeaway pizza not a restaurant pizza in Italy or something. Staff are a bit quiet on the phone, but maybe they are just unaware their phones mic is quiet so I don't know. Their delivery range leaves a bit to be desired as I live in Blackstone Heights and they won't deliver that far, but will deliver to the casino. I mean Dominos does it so I'm sure you could squeeze it in. Very nice anyway
