I was broken when my LaCie external hard drive failed. These guys went way, way far and above what I asked them to do. I am impressed. Customer service is not dead. I had a LaCie Raid Hard drive that died on me. I needed the info of course, but couldn't afford to spend a huge amount of money. That said, they would start the job to see what they could do and ran into multiple complications. However ,they were able to be resourceful and use some in house parts and probably some magic to put my info back together. A week later they were able to give me a perfect copy of the files I lost. They even went out of there way to get me an external hard drive at a nearby BestBuy without charging me extra. I use my hard drives for my business, as I am a Videographer. The moment my drive failed on me, my heart sank. I was involved in a car accident on my way to my studio and my main work drive was with me. I had my backup drive with me, as I was going to start backing it all up THAT DAY. I'm pretty sure it was jarred during the head-on collision I was involved in. I had 2 TB of important data on that drive. It's crazy how things happen when you need it the least sometimes. DTI did an outstanding job on recovering my data. My external hard drive that contained thousands of files failed. I tried first Best Buy, since they Geek Squad couldn't fix it, they send it to their place in KY. Two weeks later they called me indicting that my drive had a mechanical problem and in other for them to start the repair, I had to pay $1,499 non-refundable fee in advance, even if only one file was recovered. I didn't accept this and asked them to send me my drive. After an intensive research I found DTI in St. Pete, FL. Malcolm, one of their professionals, recovered 99% of the files for only $499 in two days. He was super nice, honest and intelligent. They have the only "clean room" in FL to do this type of work.
