This salon has some of the rudest and most inconsiderate staff I've ever encountered. They will reschedule your appointment without bothering to tell you, leaving you completely in the dark until you show up--only to find out you apparently weren't supposed to be there. When you try to call and figure out what happened, don't expect an apology or even basic courtesy. Instead, they'll hang up on you rather than deal with their own mistakes. Customer service is nonexistent, professionalism is a foreign concept, and basic respect is clearly too much to ask. Save yourself the frustration and take your business somewhere that actually values its clients. This place certainly doesn't.

I had taken my brother to the Boardroom Salon at the Alliance location a couple of times a few years ago, and he had a great experience, so I thought it would be a nice surprise to book my husband the Benchmark Haircut since we moved back to the area. I chose the premium service over the Express Cut because I wanted him to have a moment to relax and unwind. The Benchmark Haircut is advertised as a high-end service designed to leave you feeling refreshed and pampered, but his experience was anything but that. From the moment he walked in, the atmosphere was chaotic. The two stylists spent most of the appointment chatting loudly across the room, barely paying attention to my husband or engaging with him about his haircut. Kids were running around unsupervised, one screaming the entire time, and the whole place just felt disorganized and unprofessional. Since this was a surprise and my husband had never been to this salon before, he had no idea what to expect, and the stylist was so focused on her conversation with the other stylist that she couldn't take the time to explain what was included in the service. Instead of the relaxing break I had hoped for, he walked out feeling frustrated and annoyed. For the price of a premium service, we expected way better. The whole experience felt rushed and impersonal, and no one seemed to care about the environment they were creating. My husband kept saying how awful the experience was and that he would never go back. Given the cost and the reputation of the Boardroom Salon, we left feeling really disappointed. Not only did my husband leave more stressed than when he arrived, but I also couldn't help but feel like I wasted money. I regret recommending a place that treated him so poorly and lacked the professionalism we expected. It's all first come first serve. In my case there was 4 individuals who were ahead of me selecting "first available" where I selected a specific stylist. I had to simply wait for an hour and half for everyone to be served whereas in the past a customer would wait based on selected their stylist availability. To be clear all of the staff here are great. Unfortunately, there is really no value to signing up in advance for a favorite/preferred stylist when the system simply handles clients on a first come first serve basis. I've never had this experience at other locations, so I'm not sure if this is a practice handled at this location on this day as there were only 3 staff. The feature of selecting a regular stylist was a selling point for this chain. By handling all customers as first come first serve, regardless of selected stylist really doesn't distinguish it from any other chain.

Once he started working, he was extremely slow and kept going over the same area multiple times. By the time I left my rear was falling asleep! I was there for almost an hour and a half. Also, I could tell he messed up multiple times especially with my bangs, because after 20 minutes of trimming with scissors he went over my entire head with the clippers. I told him to leave two inches on top, and he clipped it down to a quarter of an inch. I have a hard time believing this guy has ever cut hair in the past. Vibe was fine. I came in today 07/27/24. I should not have to listen to personal opinions about religion or politics all in one sitting (this was even before I sat in the chair. What really pissed me off is that my haircut was put on pause so that the judgmental blond girl stopped the guy cutting my hair, to show him a picture of what she didn't like. I don't care what your religious or political preferences are. I don't pay exorbitant ($40 cut) to have to listen to that as a customer. Imagine going to Walmart or the movies and listening to employees talking about that instead of servicing you. Would you like it then?
