I had the worst experience at this DSW. After having to return a pair of shoes I ordered for my wedding because they came to me in a box that had no lid and were visibly worn I was also picking up an online order I had placed which consisted of three pairs of shoes for my kids. There were a handful of hiccups through the return process but the young lady who was helping me did everything she could to make it go smoothly as possible. The real issue comes when I was handed my in-store pick up and it only contained two of the three shoes I paid for...insert Jillian... The little manager from Hell. She had come back-and-forth about the return but wasn't memorable until it came time to locate my missing shoe. I asked them if they had the shoe in store because they were unable to locate it amongst the online pick ups, she told me no and that the shoes were in Lancaster after some confusion and back-and-forth I said give me a minute. I walked away and immediately walked to the shoes, picked them up, brought them to the register and said "you lied! Not only do you have the shoes but you have a good number of them!" Jillian replied " congratulations now you can pay for them" (they were already paid for!). She was more content with allowing me to drive all the way to Lancaster to pick up the shoes rather than do her job and walk over to the children's section in her store and correct the issue. She was incredibly snarky, condescending, incredibly rude and was absolutely no help at all. The young lady at the register was visibly uncomfortable by her snarkiness and rudeness toward me. When I called her out on it she simply replied "it's my job", to which I informed her that her job is to be of assistance, none of which she has been and that I did her job for her by locating the missing shoes she then proceeded to tell me "good job want a raise?" She then told me that I could purchase the shoes I found in store because the ones I paid for were in Lancaster (although my pick up information said Camp Hill). If it weren't for the cashier who got on the phone with Lancaster and took care of the miscommunication, I would have either left with two shoes although paying for three or would have had to pay for a fourth pair of shoes while still not having the "missing shoe" Jillian alone is reason enough that I will no longer purchase from DSW read more

Capital City Mall DSW is excellent. Staff is accommodating, especially Jillian, Janee, and Adriana! They are always super helpful and knowledgeable about their selection. Any hiccups I run into are always solved as quickly and efficiently as possible. Prices are usually fair and products are in good condition. read more

DSW I had a not so great experience at the Camp Hill Pa. DSW store on January 31st 2022 I went in to return a pair of shoes. I had bought two different pairs. One pair I decided I didn't need. When I bought them I used a Visa gift card which I received as a Christmas gift (75.00) and my debit card for the remaining balance. The young girl at the checkout told me it would go back on my visa gift card. I said it can not go back on that card because I no longer had it. She did the right thing by calling for assistance. A gentleman rushed over to help, he was told by the girl and myself that it cannot go back on the gift card. I thought everything was fine and it was put back on my debit card. When I got home I checked and it went back on the Visa gift card. I immediately called the store and I spoke with someone in management, I did not get her name. She was very polite in telling me there's nothing they can do once the transaction goes through. That the girl should have called management. I told the person that the young girl did call for help. It was not her fault. Then I said, even though it wasn't my fault, as I had made it perfectly clear it couldn't go back on the Visa gift card. Still nothing they could do. She apologized again and told me I could get a hold of The Visa gift card company and call customer service. There was nothing again she could do for me. I did both. Customer service couldn't help because it wasn't a online purchase. Visa started a case for me but, in the end they needed a receipt to find the card. My friend spent a lot of time trying to find the receipt for the gift card. I work in retail and It's totally unacceptable to tell a customer there's nothing they can do. Especially, since it was their fault. I'm out 75.00 plus I don't have the shoes. Unless DSW can figure this out they have lost a customer for life. They will lose my friends business also. I hope they care! I have all my documentation from my attempts to handle this situation. I did learn a lesson never throw used gift cards away! read more

I wanted to buy a pair of birkenstocks but they did not have my size in the store, so I tried to set up my online account and it would not let me. I called customer service and they said they "don't know why it wasn't working." I went into the store and had them order them for me. When the shoes came, they were the wrong size. I ordered a 44 and they delivered a 43. It said 44 on the receipt inside the package. When I took them back to the store, I asked if they could at least get me two day shipping on a new pair so I could get them before I left for school, and they told me I would have to pay extra. I find it ridiculous that I have to pay extra to receive a package that is already behind schedule and originally delivered incorrectly. Very poor service read more

Pretty good, not the same labels as the stores in more fashion-forward areas but a welcome addition to the terrible selection at Macy's. Really never anything good on the sale/special racks (really just the stuff no one would wear) but happy it's here. Hope they will boost the shoe & handbag brands and add some more casual men's shoes -- tons of dress but rarely what I'll buy for my husband! read more

This DSW has all the basic boring shoes. You have to go out of town for any edgy shoes, This DSW is good for returns that I get from my online purchases, but other than that their selection is not edgy enough, quite safe and quite boring. I fell in love with DSW years ago when I first experienced it at Towson Towne Center , and in King of Prussia, where they have a MUCH better selection.
