I've needed orthodontia my entire life, however it wasn't until I was in my mid-twenties that I…read morestarted actively seeking treatment. Over the last couple of years I have had four different ortho consultations, but nothing ever felt like a great fit, the right timing, or whatever have you. Having train tracks in my mouth for what I assumed was going to be a long time was not something I wanted to be hasty with; I wanted every part of it to feel like a good idea with zero doubt whatsoever. When I came to Dr. Sturdivant's office, I was instantly comfortable with everything about it. It was, by far, the most thorough initial consultation I had received. Even with his many years of experience, I liked that he admitted he was going to get a second opinion from his partner regarding his recommended treatment options. A lifetime of brushing my teeth too hard had wreaked havoc on my gumline, so I also had to go a periodontist to get their blessing before he would proceed. Further, there was no sales pitch, there was no manufactured urgency, and he really took his time checking out my mouth. His estimated cost came in the highest of all four quotes, but Damon braces are more expensive everywhere, and this was the first time an orthodontist had offered them with any real knowledge to back up the recommendation. I only have my top row up, but will have my next appointment in January to get the bottom row installed, and I'm excited! I'm ready to be done with shark mouth! This office has my trust 100%. All of the staff are incredibly nice every step of the way - front desk, financing, hygiene and the doc, they're really pleasant people and I'll recommend them to anyone all day long.

TriCare families stay far away!!!! Absolutely terrible…read moreservice for service members and their families!!! We got charged almost $600 for a consult and they didn't do much other than tell my husband the work that needed done but they wouldn't do it without us paying for it all (thousands of dollars) out of pocket. (wisdom teeth removal and braces). We were even referred here by our dentist that they were supposedly a "Tricare friendly provider" We tried to explain MULTIPLE times that TriCare will cover orthodontic work if it is medically necessary (as it is in my husband's case), but Dr. Hull and his nurse got super rude with us and told us to pay out of pocket and then we could file on our own. That's not how military insurance works! We need the pre-authorization with the referral first. It even lists this on TriCare's website and lists that if orthodontics is medically necessary, not just cosmetic it is covered. All we needed was a simple letter that stated what needed done and why sent to Tricare and they would get paid directly from insurance. We will be getting his records and going elsewhere! I am appalled at how they treat our men and women in uniform and how rude the nurse and Doctor Hull was! When we requested the records they stated they would be sent digitally to our next orthodontist. I hope this actually happens based on prior contacts.... especially for the amount we had to pay for the consult.

A few years ago, I was about to start chemo treatments and I was able to call and talk to one of the dentists about how this would impact my mouth and teeth and any recommendations for oral care. They were great about answering all my questions as well as providing information I didn't think about asking about. This must be a wonderful place to work because they have relatively low turnover. Today I am waiting to have a crown replaced and am impressed how technology has changed and that this practice is able to make and place the permanent tooth same day.

I visited Davidson Family Dentistry in late 2024. I had a…read morebroken bridge. Both the dentist and a follow-up call with Doctor Davidson informed me that a replacement bridge was definitely not possible - instead they wanted me to commit to a very expensive upper-arch denture that was implant-supported (despite also later conceding that there was a high risk of implant failure). Though actually getting a firm written estimate from them was not easy. I went to another local dentist in 2025 - within minutes of reviewing my x-rays and inspecting my teeth, he recommended a bridge replacement. I now have a replacement bridge - at a fraction of the cost Davidson wanted to charge me. I can't recommend them - my experience with them was very frustrating - and I do not believe they offer up the most cost-effective solution to customers,

The only drawback is that she is not in any of the major dental insurance networks, which means you'll have to pay up front and wait for a reimbursement check.
