The exterior of the vehicle looks great, and has a nice fresh-off-the-lot shine. The interior was past due for a little TLC so I went ahead and added an interior clean package. On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give this particular round a 6. While better than it was, the vacuum and dust cloths missed a number of places, and the windshield - the main reason for wanting the interior cleaned - still has some smudges. As an aside, while I can't confirm/may well be mistaken, I think that a number of the photos on the walls in the waiting area are of actual employees that I have seen working at this location. If that's the case, kudos to the company for the authenticity. I'm still giving this four stars because this location usually performs at that level. I'll re-assess next visit. Things to know: * This location is on a busy corner and shares driveway access with a couple other business - be cautious. * This is one of the very few (maybe the only remaining) Mister Car Wash in The Des Moines metro where you can pay to have your car's interior cleaned. Not only was NONE of the snow off, but there was now a massive, frozen, pink soap splooge on the roof of my car. I got the dude and was like, "Dude...". He immediately went into "I don't know why those girls at the front tell people we can get that off, our pipes are almost frozen we can't guarantee ANYTHING right now!" Fair play. The chick walked over and offered a refund. That was cool. I accepted. I asked why they were open if all their employees are freezing like that, and aren't able to do a good job through no fault of their own. They didn't have an answer. That's okay. After my wash, I noticed that the silver trim around the rear passenger-side window had come off. When I contacted Mister Car Wash, I was told that there was supposedly already a gap in the trim before I entered the wash and that they could not take responsibility for damage that was allegedly "made worse." I take very good care of my car and regularly clean and maintain it. It has not been in an accident or sustained any damage that would explain an issue in this area. I also had no reason to believe there was a problem with the trim before entering the wash. What is especially frustrating is that I went to Mister Car Wash specifically to take care of my vehicle, and instead I left with a damaged piece of my car and a company unwilling to take responsibility for what happened. I understand that companies have policies regarding pre-existing damage, but simply claiming there was already a gap does not address what happened to my car during the wash. I expected better from a company whose entire business is built around caring for people's vehicles. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Mister Car Wash if you expect them to stand behind their service when something goes wrong.

I used to consider it one of the best DIY car washes in the metro area. About two years ago things began going downhill in a big way. The soft water rinse hasn't worked 90% of the time I've tried to use it. About 2/2 of the time nothing comes out of the wand when the pre-wash mode is selected. Tonight I couldn't get soapy spray when high pressure wash was selected nor did soft water rinse work!! This was the last time I'll visit either Ultimate C W location. I suggest others save their money and find another car wash too. I would give zero stars if I could.
