The most recent visit today I politely declined the membership options twice and the third time realized that I was better off leaving and going to any of the other options less than a mile away. This used to be our go to wash if we weren't going to be by a Mr. Carwash. No more, this wash didn't do anything for the bird poop in the driver door or anything at all for the back of my suv. The window was dirty, lift gate still dirty, bumper... dirty. The polish is pretty but it is hard to make it shine with dirt underneath. I guess it's good enough for a rough cleaning but not worth paying for the platinum wash.

I used Squeaky Clean consistently before the corporate chain car wash arrived in Pleasant Hill. I…read moresigned up with the chain because the "unlimited" wash membership was less expensive. I still try to use Squeaky Clean from time to time because it's locally owned and the owner is responsive. I accidentally selected the wrong bay once in the app and lost the wash I'd paid for because the bay I selected was closed for repairs. The owner reached out within a few hours. When I hadn't responded by the next afternoon, he followed up and provided a code for a free wash to make up for it even though I was clear it was my fault. Good luck even getting ahold of "customer service" at the chain washes. Given that I haven't used the chain more than 5-7 times a month with my "unlimited" plan that I perceived to be a better value.. I think I will be canceling it and signing up for one of Squeaky Cleans plans next month. I'm certain the chain doesn't need the business and convinced that Squeaky Clean appreciates it based on my experiences.

I've got to get this place above one measly star! We lived in West Des Moines for a couple years…read moreprior to moving back to Des Moines and frequented this place, most often for gas or coffee. The same guy was always behind the convenience store counter and we would go in so often that he would remember us and what we wanted (not sure if he's still there, also not sure what his name was). Always super friendly. TODAY however, we had to go in for the dreaded car repair. My husband had a mishap with the curb (of all things) and essentially knocked his right front tire completely out of alignment and nearly snapped the control bar, requiring a replacement of said parts along with a tire alignment. This all happened fairly close to the body shop so it was the closest place to get to without further driving/ruining his car. They got us in and out in just under two hours and the car drives like new again. Sh*t happens and it's awesome to have a place like this that actually cares about you, your well-being and the well-being of your vehicle. The mechanics explained everything very thoroughly [though we're both still car-mechanics-illiterate :) ] and made sure we knew what the problem was, what needed to be done to fix it and what the costs were going to be. They even had to order a part and they were still done in 2 hours! For what started out as a fairly terrible experience these guys made it as painless as dropping money on your self-inflicted car wounds can be. THANK YOU! Will return.
