I have a 40-year-old tape of a psychiatric interview done in Scotland, which I tried to use for…read moreteaching psychiatry residents. When coverted to digital format, at 3 minutes into the interview, the sound disappeared, and when it returned about 30 seconds later, the video and audio were de-synchronized. The digital file thus was unusable. Fortunately, Dan Red (Euro Star Productions) was able to re-synchronize the video and audio and replace about 30 seconds of audio at the end of the file from the original tape. As well, he brightened the video, so that the file now is a great teaching piece! All this work was done in just a few days, and his fee was extremely reasonable. I am so impressed with Dan's work that I have asked him to do similar refreshing of another, 50-year-old interview, so that I can use it in teaching as well.
