My husband and i were set in chairs for our pedicure. They ask what pedicure we wanted and we opted for the $65.00 dollar one. They started my husband's pedicure and i waited and waited and waited. I waited so long they added hot water 3 times to my foot bath. It was almost 30 minutes before the guy started my pedicure. I knew it was going to be bad when other employees had to tell him what to do. He cut my nails and did nothing else to my toes, nothing cuticle's or calluses. The leg message was horrible and short. He was finished with my pedicure 5 minutes after my husband was finished. Mind you he started about 30 minutes after my husband's began. I will not be back and do not recommend this place. read more

0 stars! I can say that this place seemed so nice when I walked in. I had a guy that was absolutely wonderful! He put me in a chair was very very nice! Pedicure went absolutely perfect! He did very well. Then when the pedicure was finished I went over to get a fill and Kat not sure if that's how you spell her name but she was so rude! Extremely rude! I guess she thought I was her dog! Right off the bat she drilled my nail and it hurt really bad! I have never had that happen! And she did it several times! She was hatful and just right down mean and completely rude! This was my first time to experience the hurt on my nails and someone treating me like that! I will be speaking with the manager and owner about my dad visit to this place! They need to fire her and she shouldn't be working with public! When you have a license to do a professional job you would think you would use it in a professional way! She certainly did not!!!! I am sure it's just a matter of time until they get shut down! first the man putting on the glue for the plastic support, got nail glue all over my hand somehow, then the woman who actually did my nails and she was filing them down. She clipped my critical multiple times and made the three of them bleed. She rushed, was aggressive, didn't pay too much attention to detail, and couldn't follow basic directions (btw i got a brown french tip). The atmosphere was terrible. It was overwhelming. I went in today to get my nails done and not only was the lady rude she was very unclear about what a dark pink nail acrylic with a whited paint top would be which meaning the tip being white I told her I wanted a dark pink nail with white acrylic not a painted on acrylic but regardless she did what she wanted to anyway and it looks like crap and I still paid the $55 so before you go in there beware they don't listen they don't care what they make their customers nails look like and they need to be shut down it is really bad when I paid $55 to get my nails done and they look like crap and I had to go and pay another $65 to get my nails redone so they would look decent and look the way I wanted them to and got them done right this time because the people listen to me so therefore who's going to reimburse me the $55 for the crappy job they did at d&s nails on 301 and start Florida not to mention like I said the young lady was more involved with her boyfriend or whoever she was talking to on the phone has she not been on the phone she may have been able to listen to exactly what I wanted done and would have gotten it right but instead she was more interested in the phone call and didn't have anything to say to me and didn't want to listen to anything about the way I wanted my nails done even after I complained she still said I was in the wrong and I was not this young lady was arrogant rude hateful and didn't have a care in the world about what I wanted done she did my nails the way she wanted to do it read more

My first AND LAST time to this place. I was literally in a chair and out the door IN 10 MINUTES for a $45 pedicure. No callous removal, no sugar scrub- just a couple of calf squeezes, a quick smear of cheap lotion, and a wipe down with a wet towel. I didn't even need a gel polish soak off. She was working like someone was standing over her with a stopwatch. I just assumed since I just said, "I need a pedicure" that I had requested the wrong service and was getting the "Jiffy Lube" pedicure. I mentioned the fact that I basically just got a polish change to the English-speaking, Asian woman at the desk she said, "Did you say anything to her (the tech)?" And she didn't even stick around for my answer. The tech didn't say a word to me the whole 10 minutes so I assume she didn't speak English and I don't speak Tagalog. They don't have any competition and you can tell. In Fleming Island, $55 will get you an herbal aromatherapy spa pedicure with paraffin, hot stones, and you are there at least 45 minutes, and they offer you a beverage. Don't call it a "spa pedicure" if it's really a "nah pedicure". I got screwed and didn't even get dinner first. read more

ok. so i haven't gotten my nails done in forever because last time i got them done they were super ugly. so i decided to give this place a try in efforts to feel pampered. instantly regret it. the salon was nice and clean, but the nail technicians disappointed me. they said they could do the design but they completely botched it. one of the women got on to me for having my hand out of the uv light and lowkey yelled at me, which was super unappreciated with the already botched gel nails. they used glitter instead of tape, completely got the marble wrong, and failed to have full nail coverage. overall, they charged me $40 for this garbage. i have the capability of doing my nails the way they did for way cheap. i am fuming. read more

She barely used any acrylic nails thinner then paper, didnt cover my natural nails all the way damn sure didn't build an apex... an apex? before DS got a lot of business they were always nice and quick but now they are rude and make you wait forever to get anything done. Last time I went I walked out with one plastic nail glued to my finger because people were sat before me that got there after I did and once I was sat with sheena she kept playing on her phone while I'm waiting for her to do my nails. My daughter had her nails done yesterday; gell fill and change of color. The fill was done so thin and poorly that by the next day three of her nails were chipping. I took her back the next evening only to be ignored for over an hour by the owner Sheena. When finally one of the guys waited on her, he proceeded to argue that her nails were old and dirty and he was going to charge her an additional $5 to fix her broken nails. I've never witnessed anything so horrible in customer service in my life! When I told him that it was rude to speak to a customer that way, he stood up and refused to fix her nails. DS Nails is a special place for a small town like STARKE. It is always clean and the staff that work there have always be especially polite and friendly. They do their very best to get you in and out in a timely manner and take their time to make your experience a great ones. DS is a busy place and is very popular with the ladies and men in this area. Sometimes you might have to wait a little while due to the large number of clientele that use DS. I have always felt I was treated fair in the wait time and never was disappointed in the results of my visit. The staff there work very long and tiring hours to take care of all that come in for our special treat of being pampered.
