At the end of a 13 hour move that should have been completed in 8 hours.... "We Dont have the tools to move your hospital bed", "we can't move your frig or freezer because there is food in them". I should have been informed before booking, I would not have wasted just over $4,700.00! So, I had to sleep on a pallet in the old home with the disabled relative until next week because they can't stay at the new house. No pictures can be taken to list the home because so much was left. My husband couldn't watch tv because the mount for it was left and GOOD LUCK FINDING THE SCREWS. it's bad enough they asked to use my tools to disassemble my bed. I should have paid attention to the other very poor reviews, but I was in a hurry. Now, I'm out of $4,700 and still have to book someone to move two beds, a frig and freezer. It wasn't great that I ordered food that needed refrigeration, thinking I would be there by lunch so I could meet with the other contractors. My review was long because it was a very expensive mistake that I don't want anyone else to make. The only bright spot was that the young men were courteous. Very slow, inexperienced but courteous. This business should not be on this platform when pro pl e are seeking service. I am filing complaints with the BBB, with the state AG( for directly misrepresenting services offered and will run this by an Atty to see if it's worth my time and effort to try and recoup dome of my money. To spend nearly $5000 and not get the two main things done that were specifically requested and demands a response.

Was given quote for 4 guys, only had 3 show which took 2 hours longer than 6 hours quoted but was also charged for an extra 3rd hour, which they took an hour lunch. They took huge chunks out of the Sheetrock in the walls & scratched up several pieces of furniture that were in perfect condition before. Drug furniture across wood floors. Our platform beds were not properly reassembled and all bolts were not put back in. Ended up costing almost $1000 more than quote. Plus they added a $300 truck fee which was never discussed or in the initial quote. I paid it with the chaos of moving. Addressed everything with owner next day, sending pictures of damaged walls etc. never heard back from them again! I wasn't asking for them to pay for any repairs or anything but an apology would have been nice. I wouldn't recommend if you value your property.

Worst Moving Experience Ever--AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. I've moved eight times in my life, and David's Moving Company is by far the worst I've ever encountered. 1. Total Disregard for Property: They showed no care for my belongings. During the move, they broke over $4,000 worth of items, put two holes in my brand new home, and scratched our new wood floor. 2. Unprofessional Behavior: The employees got into a literal fight in my front yard. One of them quit on the spot, and I had to personally move the rest of the furniture myself. 3. Inadequate Compensation: When I brought these issues to David's Moving Company, all they offered was a $500 claim, leaving me out at least $4,000--not including the $1,750 I paid them. Long story short, if you want your belongings damaged and enjoy doing manual labor yourself, then this is the company for you. My suggestion: never use this company. If you need to move, choose another route or do it yourself before considering them.
