First, when he made his first assessment, he noted that we had some rotted wood on our porch railing. Part of his proposal was to repair the damaged wood before painting. Second, he gave us a couple of choices on the quality of paint we wanted him to use. Choice one was a builder grade paint that would have been cheaper, but the reason we needed our house painted was because the builder grade paint had faded badly in the Texas sun. Choice 2 was a higher end paint that is designed to hold up under the Texas sun. And so far it has. The quality of the paint job was excellent. The timing of the job was tricky, because we scheduled the job and then it started raining. So he worked around the weather and the job got done as quickly as it could have been. I appreciated that he didn't want to rush the job and risk letting the weather mess up the work. I know he had other jobs lined up already, but he gave the right amount of attention to our house and didn't rush things in order to get to the other jobs he had scheduled next. We would definitely use him again. (But we won't have to for a while!)
