I was a little hesitant in paying for their service as their cost is higher than other companies. Unfortunately, I used another company at one of those $99 price points only to have them do shotty work causing me to go elsewhere. I ended up calling Dryer Fires LV because of the positive 5 star rating on Yelp. The owner, King, was not only timely with text messages but arrived with a smile on his face and explaining everything he was doing the entire time. He had to pull out both the washer and the dryer since I had a countertop over my machines but he put everything back, cleaned the floors and replaced my dryer vent hose. The most shocking part of this service call was the lint that was left behind in my vent duct from the other company (Brieze) who jammed down the lint causing my dryer to work harder and longer because of the lack of airflow. Everything was done correctly with someone who was experienced, knowledgeable and appreciative of doing the work. I should have learned my lesson with those companies advertising those $99 service calls from before. I am saving this number so I can use them for years to come. We had our A/C vents cleaned by another company about a year ago. They did not do dryer vents, but recommended Dryer Fires LV. It became apparent that my dryer vent was slowing down the efficiency of the dryer, so I finally called King David at Dryer Fires LV. He came out and began his inspections. While he was there, he asked when I had last flushed my water heater. It had been over 2 years. My A/C units had not been cleaned out either for that length of time. Suffice it to say, I had him drain the water heater, replace the rod inside that had deteriorated, clean the two A/C units, and clean out the dryer and clean the duct that went to the roof. Was it expensive...you bet; however, I have pictures of all the debris that was cleaned out of everything. My dryer works much better, and I have the peace of mind that my water heater and A/C units are operating at peak efficiency. I will have King David service my units every year now knowing they will serve me for many years to come. What an education!! Thank you King David for coming out so quickly. I called KD on Friday and he was there on Saturday morning at 10:30! I love that! So long story short my dryer kept shorting... the power would come on but the dryer would not heat or tumble...I do recall seeing the clean filter light come up.... so of course I checked. It was cleaned after every cycle, I made sure of that... Anyways the dryer was not the problem it was the dang dryer vent. We had just bought the house and thought it was cleaned prior to moving in, but to my shock horror KD said it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 10yrs. WOW! My dryer was full of lint and debris internally and had even caused a flash fire. He cleaned my dryer fully and the lines/ vent and replaced an improperly installed venting hose. To my surprise they were able To Squeeze me in and gave me a price range since my dryer is on the first floor of a 2 story house. After remodeling a shower it was discovered that the vent for the dryer had become unattached & lent was very compacted in the vent. Another servicer told us we would have to cut into the ceiling & remove that section of vent. Dryer fires was able to come out & get it all cleared. I cannot tell you how very awesome it is to work with the husband and wife company by the name of Dryer Fires that actually cares about its citizens and doing a proper job at a fair price! I found Dryer Fires on my Next Door app where I live in Henderson and they were listed as a referral for dryer duct cleaning when I searched for said cleaning services. They came out the next day and King David (who is one of the co-owners with his wife) was absolutely amazing! Not only did he fix my dryer but he showed me the issue which was a clogged filter which had been that way probably for more years than I have lived here. Also the hose to the dryer was way too long and was adding to the dryers performance issue. A fire hazard in the making, I am ever so happy that Dryer Fires was able to resolve this issue. On top of it all I had marks that a chemical spilled on the dashboard of the dryer and he fixed that for me without my asking. I can't in good faith recommend this company. I knew I needed my dryer cleaned because I could see build up and to that point, it has been many years. As soon as KD came out, I started to think he seemed familiar? Many years ago I had someone similar at the house who stood at my kitchen counter for over an hour talking to me about his ideas of health and wellness. The services are reasonably priced and he does a good job cleaning the dryer, but he fancies himself as a 'healer,' and so he will give all different (unsolicited) ideas as to how your medical issues should be solved, from hypnosis to a silent room to breathing to crystals to past life regression. It's highly inappropriate. The other thing is he told me I had gas issue in my dryer, which I've never smelled before, and to get this looked at immediately. He said his eyes were burning and he could smell it! I had someone out this morning who is not only a general technician, but used to work for the same brand as my dryer ---he said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my dryer. Sigh. So not only did I get charged more for what occurred yesterday, I got lectured about my health and how it's all in my head, and then I was told there was a major safety issue with my dryer that doesn't exist.
