I had a very disappointing experience with this school's admissions process. My child was denied…read moreacceptance, and what was most frustrating was the complete lack of transparency or explanation behind the decision. As a parent, you invest time, effort, and hope into the application process, so receiving a rejection without any meaningful feedback feels dismissive and unprofessional. I understand that private schools can be selective, but clear communication and basic courtesy should still be part of the process. Even a general explanation or guidance would have shown respect for families going through admissions. Based on this experience, I would caution other parents to be prepared for limited communication and to consider whether this aligns with the level of support and openness they expect from a school community.

Eagle Creek is a wonderful school. I went there when I was in middle school, now I send my daughter…read morefor drop in babysitting. I could not be happier. She LOVES it! The classrooms are huge and spacious, the teachers GENUINELY care for the kids they care for, and they spend time doing activities that challenge their brain. This is such an awesome thing for babysitting too, and it's a great price for all of the cool things they do all day. My daughter is always so tired when she comes home, and she cries whenever we pick her up. I'm so happy we get to send her!

Our daughter had been going to the Montessori in Ortonville. A usually outgoing kid, I'd always…read morefind her playing alone on the playground. She never once got excited about going. After six months she had done nothing but play--not educational play, just coloring and running. Then she stopped wearing her favorite shirts because older kids kept telling her they were "yucky." This is the kind of pressure a three-year-old shouldn't deal with. We took her to Child's World this year, and it's been a world of difference. She comes home with art projects that taught her how to make letters or count or something. She has learned a dozen songs. She comes to school and the kids call out her name. She can count to ten in Spanish and knows a lot of the alphabet in sign language. I credit the adults with all of this. It takes real organization and teamwork to put together a team like this. They handle behavioral issues effectively. They are creative in their use of play. And they create an environment where kids treat each other with respect. Honestly, this is one of the best things going in Genesee County.
