I've used this dry cleaner with great success for years however never again after today. This time…read moreI basically paid for my clothes to be ruined by a hot hard press on a black jacket which produced MANY shiny spots on back of collar, sides of the collar, both shoulders....probably 20 places. I took it back to show these spots to the owner who has 30 years experience. Nope...he said there were NO shiny spots. WHAT??!! It must be very dark where the dry cleaning is done and I expect he cannot see very well. My black viscose dress was ironed (note the label said DO NOT IRON which I pointed out to the attendant) on the "right side", iron was too hot, pressed too hard which produced an unwelcome shine on the seams around the neck and sleeves and the back seam. I would NEVER iron a black dress on the right side...........always on the wrong side to make sure the fabric doesn't "go shiny". He is going to re-do the jacket but I expect it will look much worse, great! UPDATE..yes the jacket is now faded and shiny, looks MUCH worse. To make sure I understood how shiny spots can appear on clothing that has never been dry cleaned before (which was the case with both items) I stopped by a reputable dry cleaner to ask their opinion. They stated "iron was too hot, item was "hard pressed". Same info I found on the internet. I will be throwing out the jacket I paid $8.50 to clean and will have to donate the dress to local charity shop which cost $17.00 to clean. The dress was basically new and VERY expensive. Looks like my clothes now resemble Cinderella's, ruined. If you want to pay someone to ruin your black clothes...this is the place.
