After my blowout & style
Kristin S.

Great location to get your style for a night out or event especially if you are visiting town and staying on the strip. Plenty of styles to choose from, a bar, DJ and so much fun. Get pampered as you get glammed for your evening! If you're local, you can park in the parking garage for Miracle Mile/PH. The first hour is free but there is a parking fee after that first hour.

Waiting to get my hair done, cosmo style:)

I did some hardcore research on blowout services in Vegas as I'm very picky with who touches my hair and ended up circling back to Drybar because they accept walk ins and were near the Horseshoe. I walked in around 9:20 and was able to be seen around 9:45am. I loved how my cosmo curls came out. I knew I wanted to get some sort of beauty thing done in Vegas and am glad I came across Drybar! Since my hair doesn't usually hold curls when I do it, I kindly let her know and she put hairspray in it. Welp, the curls held up! And it could've lasted even longer but I knew the moment my hair reached Hawaii's humidity the oil and frizz would return. I think I want to make it a tradition and get my hair done early on in my trip cause ya girls hair does not get oily in Vegas! I might even consider a membership since we have on in Kaka'ako, HI. The only thing I would skip out on is the scalp massage as it was okay, kinda soft, just not what I'm used too. Overall, my hair looked great and I shall return next trip.

Curly hair blowout

I had the most amazing experience at the Dry Bar with Cerrin inside the Miracle Miles shops!!! I was honestly a little scared to try a dry bar because I do have naturally curly hair like 3B/3C, but I was in and out of there and under an hour and 30 minutes when usually it takes other places like two hours minimum to blow out my hair! Everyone was so sweet and so kind, I cannot wait to come back!!

Loved my Hollywood glam hair!

I had such a good experience here! The vibes are great, and my hair turned out amazing! Was super happy with my overall experience!

Ugh, I so miss the Dry Bar when they were just a few years old and they trained their stylists so well. Each and every time I used to go to any Dry Bar in any state (I travel a lot) my hair came out perfectly. My hair is very long and thick and it responds so well to certain shampoos. But use the wrong product and it will not get the same results. They had many bottles of On The Rocks charcoal shampoo for sale. So no reason for them not to be able to use it when I requested it, or for me to think it wasn't available. When I asked for this shampoo my stylist ran to the receptionist and came back to the chair and took me back to shampoo my hair. She didn't tell me it wasn't available. And guess what! I waked out of the Dry Bar with below average hair. Not the with the fabulous Dry Bar Bounce. I thought the reason for the disappointing blowout was because my stylist decided half way through that it was a good idea to straighten my hair with a straightener instead of blow drying the back first and then smoothing it with a straightener. Because it always needs to be blown out first and then straightened with a straightener to look good and last. But when we left the salon my daughter told me they were out of the shampoo I requested. She knew this because she requested it too and was told this by her stylist who had to use a different shampoo on her. It would have been nice for my stylist who was in cahoots with the receptionist not to mislead me and make me think that she was using the shampoo I specifically asked for. I could have discussed with her a better one to use had I been given given that courtesy. So, like to San Diego locations that have deteriorated tremendously over the years, this location now deserves no more than a two out of five as well.

What happens when a gal from Bellingham heads to a Vegas wedding? Well, one thing that happens is she discovers the magical amazingness that is The Blowout. Here in Bham we have many salons, of course, but not one devoted entirely to blowouts. Enter: Drybar. This national chain (BRING ONE TO BHAM PLEASE!) fills in that awkward, multi-week period between your hair looking amazing at the salon and when you return to the salon for a cut, color and other services. They wash your hair, they blow it out, they style it, and you look amazing once again. What they don't do is style or color it. My stylist, Princess, was fantastic and fun and made my hair gorgeous for the wedding. I also enjoyed my extra dirty vodka martini from the bar (yes, Drybar has a bar)! I entered feeling like a Bellingham gal and left feeling like a million bucks.

After a long and relaxing week in Hawaii, we came to Vegas for a wedding, we were tired and had no hair plans. I called the Drybar for an appointment, we got in the day off. The girls did amazing on our hairs, I forgot my girls name :(. The Drybar was so much fun! They had a dj in the bumping some great music. They had a fun atmosphere to work in, everyone enjoy each other's company which made all the guests feel welcomed.

This was my first time getting a blow out and I am inlove! I wished I discovered dry bar before, but there service and products are amazing. I completely switched over all of my shampoo, conditioners, dry conditioner/shampoo, hair tools to strictly drybar brand. I wished I remembered the girl who did my hair but she had red hair and was amazing! Thanks to her, I am DryBar obsessed!

The following morning still looking great

I was visiting Vegas for my company's annual conference and walked past this place. To be honest I never thought I had the hair texture to get a blowout and be satisfied with the results. I walked past them decided to double back and try my luck. The two young ladies at the front desk (both African American, one with short hair and one with longer hair. Sorry I didn't catch your names ladies! ‍) were a pleasure to talk to and explained the pricing and the services. Seeing as how my hair was a mop and we had an awards ceremony the following night, I pulled the trigger. Babyyyy when I tell you Princess got me ALL the way together! The products she used were not too heavy, not too light, I had a great bounce and curl and it looked great throughout the rest of the weekend! I admit I was HELLA skeptical when I arrived, I'm mixed and I believe she was of Asian decent. But I couldn't have been more pleased! Next time I come to Vegas I WILL BE BACK! Overall it was just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Wish there were one closer to my house in Texas!

A tale of two emails: My scheduled time vs when they were ready for me
Dawn L.

Made my appt online. Got my confirmation email. Received a Covid survey by email. Answered it. Received a check in email. Answered it when I arrived to the location. They respond to acknowledge by text to say they will text again when they are ready for your apply. I also received an email acknowledging they received my check in. Communication up until this point was fine. I showed up to my appointment 9 minutes early. They don't allow you to wait inside due to Covid so you just have to awkwardly wait outside. This is fine if they keep their appointments. But when they expect you to just stand there for one freaking hour with no explanation, no warning, no apology...that's just unacceptable BS. Who does that?? It's not like they didn't see me. They just chose to not speak to me. They finally texted and emailed me at 12:42-a full hour after my scheduled appointment time--to let me know they were finally ready for me. Note: I am on vacation and this location is out of my way but the fashion show mall location is closed so I got my husband to drop me off before he started a poker tournament. I gave up waiting for my appointment after 30 minutes and decided to walk all the way back to the Wynn. From leaving the hotel for my appointment that never happened to my return, I wasted two hours of my time. If someone (maybe the girl who was busy fixing the business cards and polishing the windows) would have come out and said they were running behind and asked if I could go shopping or kill time until 12:45, I would have been understanding and cooperative. But they treated me like I was not important enough to deserve an explanation. I should just stand there and wait patiently until they are good and ready. I just don't think that's how business works--especially in a tourist location during a pandemic. But good luck to y'all.

Upon check in to my hotel I sent a text message to my wedding coordinator letting her know my room number. I also received a text message from the woman who actually came to do my hair. I felt very secure in the process. Michelle Cooper arrived at my hotel room at the agreed upon time and was so nice. Since I had arranged this service through a 3rd party I didn't know if I would have someone come for my hair and someone for my makeup, so I began showing Michelle photos of my makeup, then I showed her hair for reference so she could get an idea of my overall vision. Michelle then told me she was going to be doing both. She set my up next to the window so the natural light was plentiful and she began her magic. I had two pictures of hair ideas and she asked me a couple of questions and then gave me her opinion along with why she felt that way. I am thankful that I let her work her magic because my hair turned out fantastic! After she was done doing my hair she showed it to me and asked if I liked it. There were two things I wanted changed and she fixed it up and it was absolutely amazing. My hair stayed all day and night in the Vegas heat. I assumed there would be 100 Bobby pins in my hair with the security I felt, but there was only like 20 when I took it out at the end of the night. My makeup was also flawless. I typically don't wear a lot of makeup so having a full face on can be a bit startling. Michelle made me look absolutely stunning. I wanted false lashes but having never worn them before my niece suggested that I get the individual lash sections versus the full lash. Michelle told me why she felt the full lash would be better and she applied them early on in the makeup process to ensure that I was comfortable with them. I explained that I felt like one was digging into the corner and she fixed it immediately and it was like I wasn't wearing anything on them when she got done. They lasted all night and came off easily in the morning. Michelle also used my own lipstick and she had a liner to match and my lipstick stayed on all night with one touch up after dinner! Not only was Michelle fantastic at her profession, but she is a midwestern born woman and we bonded over growing up in the same state. She was funny, down to earth, and easy to talk to. I felt amazing on my wedding and Michelle was a big part of that. Thank you!

Well, when my friend received the confirmation email, it had one of us scheduled at 3:00 and the other scheduled at 4:00. We had to call again to get both of us scheduled at the same time. When we went in on NYE, the place was packed! There was a dj playing music off to the side creating a loud, club-like atmosphere. To the left of the salon area, there was a bar area to purchase cocktails if we chose. When it was time for my appointment, I selected The Cosmo..Shampoo, blow out, and loose curls. All of their styles are named after cocktails. Fun! In the styling area, they had tvs playing Christmas movies and the dj's music in the background. My hair turned out beautifully, however, my curls did not hold throughout the entire evening. My Cosmo blow out cost $59 dollars before tip which was a bit more reasonable than other locations my friend and I had been searching. I really don't have enough words to describe how kind and outstanding she is. She never once made me feel bad about my hair even after I told her about my previous experience. I had a very disappointing experience with Bonnie (Owner) and feel it's important to share this feedback so others can make an informed decision -- especially brides. Before booking, I specifically asked Bonnie whether she had experience working with Black skin. She confirmed that she did. Unfortunately, once she began working, it became clear that this was not the case. Her technique and product choices did not reflect any real familiarity with deeper skin tones, I even gave her my own foundation but that didn't help and we were ultimately left to do our own makeup. What concerns me most is not the skill gap itself, every artist has limitations, but the lack of honesty when asked directly. Misrepresenting your experience to a client is a serious breach of trust, particularly in the beauty industry where your work is tied to someone's most meaningful moments. I also noticed that other makeup artists present did not appear to recognize Bonnie as part of the local Vegas makeup community, which raised further red flags. We were fortunate to be members of the bridal party and not the bride herself otherwise she could have really ruined someone's special day. Bonnie please be transparent about your experience level with diverse skin tones. Honesty and transparency should be the foundation of any client relationship.

Unfortunately, those expectations were repeatedly and systematically unmet -- and the experience ended on what can only be described as a genuinely infuriating note. For Las Vegas locals or anyone arriving by personal vehicle, be warned -- the parking and exit experience at The Venetian is, without exaggeration, one of the most stressful and poorly managed situations I've encountered at any resort property in this city. The valet is not only a logistical nightmare in terms of wait times and coordination, but it costs an absolute fortune -- an insult when you've already spent a premium to be here. Opting for self-parking isn't much better. The garage is perpetually overcrowded, confusingly laid out, and frankly feels unsafe when navigating tight spaces during peak hours. Exiting the parking structure entirely is its own ordeal -- the traffic bottleneck is unacceptable for a property of this caliber and price point. What should have been a relaxing send-off after a spa day turned into a white-knuckle, anxiety-inducing crawl through gridlock. It completely erased whatever minimal relaxation I had managed to accumulate inside. For a brand like Canyon Ranch, which markets itself on wellness and tranquility, this is an embarrassing and tone-deaf failure. Now, the spa itself: The check-in process was laborious and inefficient -- not what you'd expect given the premium pricing and the Canyon Ranch reputation. The staff, while not unfriendly, didn't project the warmth or attentiveness that justifies this price point. The massage was deeply disappointing. It felt perfunctory and entirely cookie-cutter -- no personalization, no real attention to tension points, no sense that the therapist was engaged or tailoring the experience to my needs. For the rate charged, this is unacceptable. I've received far superior massages at local Las Vegas spas for a fraction of the cost. The co-ed areas offered some unique touches, and the hot tub and cold plunge were genuinely enjoyable. However, the space was crowded and surprisingly loud -- which, yes, is Las Vegas, and I understand that. People are here to have fun, and I won't penalize the review heavily for that. But it does undercut the "sanctuary" promise that Canyon Ranch trades on. There's also a notable lack of programming or amenities to keep you genuinely engaged for more than a couple of hours. You come, you use the pools, you get your treatment, you leave. There's nothing remarkable that justifies making a dedicated trip. As Las Vegas locals, we are genuinely spoiled -- exceptional massage and spa experiences are available throughout the city at a fraction of what Canyon Ranch charges. I kept that in mind and tried to evaluate this on its own merits. Even doing so, the value simply isn't there. Add in the parking debacle that capped off the visit, and this becomes very difficult to recommend. Save your money, your time, and your blood pressure.
