I'm sharing a concerning experience at this Drybar location that was never resolved by management. On Friday, January 9, 2026, I had a 6:15 PM blow-dry appointment and arrived on time. I was not seated until around 6:30 PM due to a delay on the salon's end. Near the end of my service, the manager on duty, Ana, informed me I would be charged extra because my appointment was "running long," despite the delay not being my fault and no additional services being requested. I have never been charged extra for this service before, which made this embarrassing, confusing and disappointing. During my appointment, another client requested to be seen immediately after me, which created pressure for my stylist to rush my service. Management continued to apply pressure on my stylist to finish more quickly. I want to note that my stylist, Marisol, was excellent -- professional, kind, and handled the situation with grace. This review is not about her. My intent in sharing this is simply to bring attention to a policy and management issue. Love this location and love love love Irina! :) This Drybar is a bit more lowkey than others, which is surprising given it's in buzzing Burbank. Still, I've never seen a ton of stylists working at the same time, and the overall environment is soothing and calm. Like at other places, a variety of drinks are offered. I'd say they're more consistent with drinks than elsewhere I've been. My go-to are the Manhattan Straight or else the Beach Waves style. Easy, simple, and they know how to navigate my long and thick hair. If your hair is thick and wavy, I recommend getting the Liquid Glass add-ons. I love how efficient, clean and relaxed this location is at all times. I tend to come in the evenings and always in/out in an hour or max hour and a half. Street parking is a breeze, but make sure to double-check those street signs. read more

It was my first time here though I would give it a try and get some curls. I pick the style showed her the picture and everything. Once she finished I saw It didn't match there catalogue ok fine whatever, she should have said she didn't know how to do the style instead she said my hair is thick enough after being done which doesn't make sense. So I asked her to just make the curls tighter and put extra hair spray for my event at 5:30 within an hour and half my hair is back to normal looks like nothing was done. I've been to several Drybars, and unfortunately, this is the worst one I've experienced and the closest one to my home! I've been here at least 4-5 times and really like the convenience of scheduling. I don't come here for the products, but for the styling as I don't know how to do my own hair for special occasions. The reception staff at this salon could really use some customer service training. Whether in person or on the phone, everyone I talk to seems annoyed and in a rush to end the conversation as quickly as possible. I tried to look past it for the convenience of the service. As for the stylists, there are some great ones, and a few that give me styles that are not at all what I asked for. I even show photos of myself with a style I recently had at another Drybar and then get something completely different, so I know it's not my hair type and it can be done. I recently decided to treat myself to a Barfly membership. With weddings, parties and events, I thought $45 per month was a good deal as opposed to $59 for a one-time blowout. I joined in December of last year. Last week, I received an email stating that prices would be increased to $55 per month, with "Don't worry, you're still getting a fabulous deal that can't be beat!" I don't know if $4 off per blowout is a "fabulous deal" and the phrasing seemed kind of insulting. We were then offered the number of the store to call with any questions. Since then, I have tried emailing twice and called the store 3 times, as I want to discuss cancellation and how that will affect my existing unused credits. Each time I call, I'm told that there aren't any managers in the store and one will call me the next day if I leave my contact information. No one has ever called me back, and each person I talk to seems apathetic and dismissive that I have called so many times. I don't know about y'all, but I would get fired from my job if I just stopped calling clients back. Maybe they would be doing better if they treated clients a little better? If I could give negative stars, I would. Every time I've come to this location over than past 10 years, the stylists have always been incredibly late, slow, and have subpar styling skills. Today was the cherry on top. I showed up for a 7:15 am appointment and only after 20 minutes of waiting I was told there are no stylists available and that the next stylist could assist me in about an hour. I've been to multiple Drybar locations and have always enjoyed my blowouts, aside from regularly LONG wait times to get seen, until today. I arrived to my appointment exactly 15 minutes late due to a delivery that ran later than planned (I needed to be home for this delivery). Life happens, and I own my lateness, but I also figured due to Drybar RARELY taking me right when I arrive it wouldn't be an issue. Instead, I was staggeringly TURNED AWAY at the door and told they have a "10 minute grace policy" which was total news to me. Their site clearly stipulates no such thing and only vaguely says that they "may" cancel late appointments, no mention of timeline (and most places will offer a 15 minute grace period, which I was within the confines of, not 10). I am particularly dismayed at this due to their OWN history of lateness (I remember I nearly got up and left their Encino location once because it took me a good 30 minutes after my appointment start time to get seen). I'd be much more forgiving if that wasn't the case. Also given how crowded the salon was it seems like they simply overbooked (as they seem to regularly do) and implement this late policy in a willy-nilly manner when that's the case. In any event, I will now have to scramble to get my hair done for my event tonight and will never return to any location after this, nor recommend Drybar to anyone. read more

It's so sad having to write this review, specially having come here for about 4 years on a monthly basis. But it didn't take 1 but MULTIPLE instances where the "manager" Gladys ruined my experience. DON'T COME HERE, unless you're wanting to get your day ruined by her. She has TERRIBLE customer service to say the least and comes off as a bully. She goes against online policies stating that there's different policies at the location which is mind boggling. I had screenshots of the Drybar policies that I got directly from their website and she still claimed that policies are different in-person and didn't want to honor my benefits that I paid for and threatening that if they disappeared I knew why. I was so disappointed with my service at this Drybar. I asked for the old fashioned (hollywood waves) and as much volume as possible. My hair ended up flat on my head, frizzy, with messy loose curls, no waves in sight. Mind you, I have thicker curly hair, that holds really well and is capable of a lot of volume. I asked the stylist to give me more volume when she was done because I saw it flat on my heat. I told her she can tease it and use as much product as she wanted, she was unable to do this. She also tried re-curling my hair because we both saw that it was not hollywood waves. My hair ended up smelling burnt because of how much she re-curled it. If Drybar is stating they can provide a service, they should ensure their staff is able to produce that service. I asked for a service (the hairstyle the company claims to offer) and did not get it. Also Drybar has an entire line of volume products and my hair turned out so flat. I was on a time crunch too, because it took so long and did not have time to ask for another stylist to correct it, but also did not want to embarrass the stylist who worked on me by doing that. I tried calling afterwards to express my concerns and I called about 5 times with my phone and they did not pick up; I then called with another phone and they picked up right away. The staff who picked up and stated that she saw that it was flat and not hollywood waves. She told me she would talk to her manager and get back to me on how I can be compensated for it because I was so unhappy and did not get the service I paid for. It's been over a week and I haven't heard from her. I had a very important event and felt uncomfortable the entire night at how flat and messy my hair looked. The staff are unprofessional, untrained and clearly do not care about providing the service the company claims to offer. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me eighteen times, shame on me for being trapped in a barfly membership I need to use up. I got two blowouts here in the last two weeks and both made me look absolutely crazy. The picture with the curls is supposed to be the Mai Tai style. Did not go as planned. So the next time I came, I told the person doing it (a different person this time) to just give me a nice blowout and I'll add curl later. The second photo is what she did. I truly have never seen my hair styled that way from a blowout. I had to find a hat in my car to wear to my next appointment. Another stylist, did try and fix it, and did make it better but unless it was rewashed and they started again, there was very little that could be done. They did charge me less and they did try to fix it, so I apprecaite the effort, but I did not expect to be there so long and ended up being late to the event, after wasting my time. See Samantha! She's amazing! An absolute darling & has THE MOST GENTLE TOUCH. I have extremely long hair and I take pride in taking good care of it. Samantha made sure to take exceptionally good care of my strands without requesting it. Not only that she accomplished the exact hairstyle that I had to come in for. I was greeted by a lovely couple of girls at the reception area, but wasn't offered a beverage. That one detail aside the experience was quick, efficient, friendly, and completely met my expectations. If I lived closer to this area, I would be here regularly.
