The problem is that we were told the first year only we would have to pay for the purchase of the lights. From then on only pay for replacement lights and a much reduced price for putting up and taking down the lights. They told me they were putting my lights in tubs with my name on them and into storage for the next year. This year however the cost was going to be almost double from last year. I was however told that if I ordered by a deadline (the gal in the office was on vacation and couldn't place the order)and used a different bulb it would only be a couple hundred more than last year. So, what happened to the lights I payed for last year? And the promise made. They should stick to painting.

In addition, his price was very reasonable compared to other bids and his estimated time to complete the job was half the time of other quotes even though I had added some work beyond just regular painting. His bid was very detailed and complete and once he started the job he was here every day and completed the job on time. I was also very impressed by how neat he and his crew were. They covered everything and unlike other experiences I've had with painters, I didn't have to clean up after they left. In addition to the painting tasks, my job also included various drywall repairs with texture around the house in very visible locations and Travis did an excellent job. He also removed heavy texture that had been previously applied to all the walls in one room and retextured and then painted them to match the light texture on the ceiling and the rest of the house. The transformation of this room was truly amazing. He also prepared and painted over wallpaper in one bathroom and it turned out beautiful. It took lots of patience, hard work, and a great deal of artistic skill to achieve the beautiful results. I'm a Realtor and have had experience with lots of painters and contractors and Travis is among the best I've seen. After the painting job, I asked Travis to come back to do various repairs from my home inspection report and some caulking in my bathroom showers and he did a superb job at a reasonable price for that work too.
