Jeanette did a fabulous job making sure we had everything we needed. My hubs got the Steakhouse Smashburger and he said it was amazing! I got the Non-Burger Salmon burger which was delicious. Also got a piece of their Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake...yummy to my Tummy! The atmosphere was casual with a bar and plenty of tvs if you want to catch a game. The before tip cost for two burgers with sides, one drink and dessert was around $53.

It took a while for the waitress to come over and take our order. The restaurant was not busy (other than our table there was only one other) and it took 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. Then it took another 10 minutes for the water to show up and to have our orders taken. I ordered the Bad Ass Burger with fries. The fries arrived cold and floppy. I let the waitress know the fries were cold and she graciously took then and had them remade. The second set, arrived hot and floppy...and were unseasoned. The burger itself was terrible. The meat patties were not seasoned and overcooked (ordered medium arrived well done). Ultimately, the food was just disappointing. Lastly, I saw one of the cooks vaping over the food.

CowBar is a great option if you are ever craving a burger in the North Hills area. The burgers are…read moremassive and very juicy filled with high quality ingredients. Service could be better, but it's not bad. Decor and the bar were very cool and well designed parts of the restaurant. We ordered the Alabama Slammer and Classic Cheeseburger with truffle fries. We received regular fries at first, but were able to get what we originally ordered (truffle fries) after talking to the servers. If you order the truffle fries, make sure to grab a fork or extra napkins (or both)! Eating them gets real messy. Overall, a nice, casual burger spot in Raleigh with great fries.

Located in the newer section of North Hills, CowBar is a more sophisticated rendition of their Morgan Street Food Hall location. Very similar with maybe a few extras, you order up front, get a number, self-service soft drinks and condiments in the back and wait for you eats. Pick up your meal at the counter and it's time to eat! I did their popular truffle burger with fries Italiano and OMG! The burger was amazingly tender, rich and delicious. Tender grilled beef, smoky Gouda cheese, caramelized onions and truffle flavoring throughout. The skin-on fries with shaved parm, rosemary and garlic made for the perfect side. While the bar is not open yet, it looks like CowBar North Hills will have some beers and drinks to go with your burger. Overall I am super happy with what I experienced at CowBar. While the food is a touch pricey, it's totally worth the money and a better option to dine here, versus a crowded, noisy spot. Enjoy, Raleigh. You may have the best burger in the Triangle with CowBar!
