The husband-and-wife owners, along with their four wonderful boys, are building such a special place here. The property is absolutely stunning: an amazing barn that's ready to host weddings, a sparkling pond with a fountain and gazebo, a vineyard right on-site, a beautiful swimming pool, a cozy fire pit, and breathtaking mountain views in every direction. There's so much to do--wineries, breweries, and incredible restaurants are just 15 to 20 minutes away in any direction, along with antique shops to explore. Or you can stay put and relax: enjoy a private breakfast on the front porch, book an in-room massage, or have a romantic dinner under the old oak tree in the backyard. And the breakfast? Out of this world. The wife is an incredible cook--you'll wake up to something better than you could imagine every morning. Being able to arrive the morning before the wedding and spend that day with family is what really made the difference. Most of our family members were meeting for the first time and having a space to meet up ahead of time really brought everyone together. The property was breathtaking. In fact, from the first visit, we instantly decided we had found our venue. Our guests commented on how beautiful the location was. We were really concerned about our guests as it was a long drive from the airport. The feedback we got was that the drive was worth it and they could all see why we chose the venue. The price was reasonable for what you get. I do want to point out that if you're a type A person who needs a Type A sort of situation, you might struggle with this place as they're pretty laid back. I say this as a bonus for myself. I really appreciated the fact that they didn't try to micromanage. They were always available for anything I needed during the planning process but really allowed me to do things my way. This definitely helped ease some of the stress.

We decided not to stay after our tasting or else I would have inquired about having it lit. My favorite from the tasting of 4 wines was the Petit Manseng. The road to get to Wisdom Oak has been mentioned by many others so I will echo that it is pretty much a one way road. Service was friendly and she brought our tasting to us quickly.

Get on over to WOW and buy everything on their shelves. Quality is quality and it just gets better and better at Wisdom Oak. I am mostly a dry red drinker but even I appreciate the whites here (not trying to sound snobby you must drink all different types of wine at least thrice). The Petite Manseng to the Tinto are must tries, TRY IT ALL! Wisdom Oak also boasts a great outdoor seating area and a newly expanded and covered patio. Accompanying the great seating areas are views of the vines and the iconic wisdom oak. Seating is spread all over Jason and Laura's property so you can set yourself away from people that you do not want to converse with hahaha. No matter how far you go though you can count on the knowledgeable and extremely friendly owners making their rounds to make you feel special. That's about all I have. The grounds have ample space for all of these activities, including bathrooms that are handy to the event. I personally love all of the stunning gardens and landscaping on the property, not to mention the back drop of mountains and orchards. Working with Foxie was a breeze and so was coordinating all of the necessary rentals etc. Foxie has a helpful list of vendors who know the venue and that she has worked with before. We chose pretty much all of our vendors from her list and they were all wonderful! My friends and I also bought bulk flowers from Foxie and we assembled our own bouquets in her flower shed the day before my wedding which was super fun! (I only recommend making your own if you or your friends have flower experience--and one of my friends did!) Overall, Pharsalia was a dream venue and I highly recommend it!!!
