Definitely not worth paying $100 to simply HIRE this firm for bankruptcy. They claim they are the…read moreonly firm in Michigan that accepts installment plans when that is far from the truth. They want $50 to run your credit report yet I found a local attorney who also accepts installments and pulled up my credit report in less than one minute. This firm gave me this "homework packet" and just sent me home, expecting me to fill it out without any questions. I then have to call them back once I complete it to schedule another appointment. The attorney I am now using has been assisting me with absolutely everything and it has been nothing but a smooth process. I basically gave them $100 for no apparent reason. They said it's non-refundable... now I know why. They assume people will often give up due to how difficult they handle their clients so they pocket $100 from them. I am disabled and $100 is a sixth of what I make a month. They took advantage of me. I do NOT recommend this firm for a bankruptcy attorney. No freaking way.

After he unnecessarily got my (extremely simple) matter postponed to another hearing (more billable hours, anyone?), HE FORGOT TO SHOW UP TO COURT. Of course, per his usual, we didn't talk beforehand (did I mention he's always unavailable and doesn't return calls?), but I assumed - incorrectly - that he had a calendar and knew that he was supposed to be in court to represent me.
