Small record and curios shop tucked into a beautiful historic building. Great, ever evolving selection invites frequent revisits.

I could have spent the entire day digging. Employees at the counter were incredibly helpful and friendly. This is on Record Store Day too, and there were so many people shopping but even the other patrons were overall very respectful and mindful of space. I was slightly disappointed because some of my favorite artists they didn't have markers for and therefore I assume they didn't carry vinyl for in general (Rhapsody, Kehlani, Gang Starr, The Hip Abduction) and were completely out of a few others (Toni Braxton, Brandy). On the flip side, we found some records that were absolute gems. They also said that they can order the records that I couldn't find, so overall I think that it makes up for what they don't have in immediate stock. We were also shopping from out of state, and they were able to ship our large haul back home. This was a dope experience and exactly why you should shop local.

I brought in a curated stack of clean, high‑demand records and was met with one of the most disrespectful experiences I have ever had. The buyer behind the counter was openly flippant, dismissive, and acted like I had no idea what I was bringing in. His attitude alone set the tone -- rushed, condescending, and completely uninterested in treating me with respect. I think it takes longer than five minutes to look at the quality and condition of 30 records. He opened with a lowball offer that did not match the titles, rarity or the condition, and when I questioned it, he said "records not selling" while we are standing in a store literally packed with people buying vinyl. It was insulting, and it was clearly meant to make me feel like I should be grateful for whatever lowball number he threw out. The moment I pushed back and asked for my records back, his offer suddenly jumped up but still well under a fair trade. That tells you everything about their honesty and ethics. It was not about fair value -- it was about seeing what they could get away with - how low they could lowball. To top it off, they paid with a check instead of cash, which made the whole thing feel even more disrespectful, inconvenient, and dismissive. In hindsight, I wish I had taken my records back but I was so disoriented by the disrespect and clerk behavior. And it made me realize why I never sell or trade records. If you care about being treated with basic respect or honesty, take your business somewhere else. I will never buy anything from this disreputable unethical establishment. And you should not either. This is not a mom and pop business but a business operating without integrity exploiting its customers.

Cassettes, cds, and turntables are also for sale. Cleaning cartridges for your turntable as well as the usual assorted audiophile offerings. Gift cards, pint glasses, lighters. Lots of fun tiny gifts or random stocking stuffers around the holidays or a music lovers birthday. I walked in on a whim and was acknowledged. Not necessarily a hearty welcome but the music being played was amazing. Looked through all the genres, record store day releases, singles, LPs and double LPs. A far selection for anyone musically. Again not as diverse as their original location but that is to be expected for a shop of this size. Grabbed a handful of records since I had a birthday gift card "burning a hole" in my electronic pocket. I had purchased from their original location as well as popups on Tennyson and have always been happy with the music selections. You could grab something off Amazon or Discogs but this is a great larger local mom and pop. Real music lovers of the physical format and not just employees running out the clock at Sam Goody. (Does that date me?) Would certainly stop back when in the area to see what is new. This location isn't super old so I know it will be filled out more in future. You certainly can't go wrong for the selection to grab a nice gift for that special someone or even to treat yourself.

The used section, new arrivals, and selection of CDs/tapes was well-stocked. Prices are clearly marked and the shop attendant was affable when I inquired about a particular artist I was hunting for. Relaying that it could be found at one of the other Wax Trax locations. Perfect! I'm excited to have this new vibrant spot in the neighborhood.
