But if you do happen to go in, you just may be surprised at what you find. I am new to archery, so I took a recurve bow I got in to get ready to shoot. I know almost nothing about archery, so was really hoping to find someone helpful inside. Spencer is the man. Don't let the tattoo on his scalp fool you. He is a gentle soul. In a very low key way, he showed me what I needed, and even took some time to show me how to shoot. He had to order some things for my bow, said it would take a week, and sure enough a week later I got a call from him saying my bow was ready. $45 later I was good to go. NOTE: He doesn't accept credit cards. There is an ATM inside the store, though I didn't try it fearing high fees. Bring cash or your checkbook. Also, he is knowledgeable about traditional archery, but the store's inventory is largely compound bows for hunting.

From time to time we need new accessories, new limbs, new arrows, service and repair, etc. Not all shops carry all brands, and we had to drive 50 miles to North Wilkesboro for new limbs for Roy's Prime (brand) bow and service on it. The shop owner, Eddie Dancy, is knowledgeable and competent in his work. His store is well stocked and well organized.

Had never experienced doing business with Gods Country until this past spring/summer…read more Saw it advertized on the internet, called, left a message and the onwer called me back that afternoon. While on the phone he called and checked with his vendor on the availability of the arrows, and it was said that he could have the dozen arrows in 3 days. During the discussion about purchasing a dozen arrows and a few other small items, they were priced out to me, I agreed and they were ordered. Unfortunately, the arrows didnt arrive for over a month, after I had to call and ask where they were. Upon receiving the dozen arrows, they were three fletched instead of 4 fletched as ordered ...had to be reworked. I have had the arrows for a while now and so far have been disappointed in the build quality. Upon shooting all 12 arows into 3D targets at my home, 60% of all the arrow field point inserts partially pulled out upon removing them from the targets. The owner seems to be a good man and I truly appreciate his service to our country, but any business dealings with Gods Country Archery in the future for me is out of the question. Monies paid for the services rendered was not equitable in any way, hence two stars. Very disappointing!!!

Her husband who was the bow tech there helped me out with equal niceness and hospitality. He answered my questions and took the time to help me out and get things figured out.
