This review is on behalf of one of your workers named Tina. she went above and beyond the call of duty, was exceptionally professional, and helped me with getting my licenses renewed when other locations (Independence) only gave me obstacles and problems. I have never been to a DMV where i felt heard or helped at the end of the day. at least not in a way where I had to bear the brunt of passive aggressive, control-minded, unprofessional simpletons who don't really know how to do their jobs. This visit was an incredible contrast to what I've known the DMV has been. You ought to promote Tina and have her run the customer care process for all the DMV locations in Kentucky because whoever is doing it now ought to be fired and ashamed of their work. Terrible service. The staff member in charge of the driving test was extremely rude, unprofessional, and intimidating. Instead of helping people feel calm during the test, they create an uncomfortable and arrogant environment. On top of that, the treatment I received felt discriminatory and racist. I understand they have to evaluate drivers, but that does not give them the right to treat people with disrespect. I definitely do not recommend this office for taking the driving test. read more

I went to into the office on the 5th of August. A Tuesday. They did not ship out my Photo ID document until the 13th the Wednesday next week. The licensing office then proceeded to tell me the license printing is outsourced, and they have no shipping or tracking information other than the date it has left the facility. It is now Friday the 28th and I still have not received my photo ID document. There is no solution and I had travel plans over the first of next month so I will have to cancel my flight since I have not received the photo ID document 23 days past the appointment date. There is nothing I can do because the office cannot and will not offer any help after the request has been sent to their manufacturer. I hope they feel just as helpless by all the terrible reviews they're getting because the Burlington Driver Licensing Regional office truly deserves 0 STARS! read more

I came in at 8am , not only was I waiting outside because they took away seating on the inside, the security guard was asking a man if he had a problem then put her hands on a young woman for trying to let someone that had an appointment go in front of her . I then waited 4 hours for my number to be called and they say you have to pay with card and that the workers checking me in asked me if i wanted card or cash but never gave us the option. the service was really bad, they are rude and don't know how to do there job and over all a horrible company if you want to get miss treated come here they will have your back. nothing but FLASE accusation! read more

I recently found my driver license expired, i went to the burlington court house, get to know that everything has been moved to a new place. I went in there without appointment, was told the waiting time will be 6-7 hours, so they recommend me to sit in the car and come in when they call me. I decided to go home as it's nearby, eventually around 4 pm, they called me, i rushed out to the office, fortunately they are waiting for me, I'm so grateful. I was not able to get the real ID but i get my driver license updated. Thanks god! Seems the office now taking over a lot of workload from all over the area, so it's busy all the time. Better to make appointment before you go. read more

All I can say is bring a positive attitude going into the building! Because no one else there will have one lol. The workers there are a real fucking joy. They're quite literally frowning at you when you walk in, I don't think they could fake a smile if their life counted on it. They're rude and don't explain any of the process to you. No one told me how I'd get called back and that I was supposed to check my order on the tv and or on my phone. I eventually asked which was a good idea or the lady would have skipped me she said! After giving all my documents and taking my picture for the real ID, I hand the lady cash and she said she can't take it that I had to tell them up front before I came back. Well no one asked me that or explained at all so how would I know that? The whole office could work a lot better together if they would just communicate to each other. I politely said "I apologize but no one asked me and your website online says cash or you charge a 2.5% fee" she then proceeded to tell me I'd have to start the whole process over at another desk with someone who CAN take cash. Which was apparently only one person working that day. So since they clearly cannot do their jobs, anyone wanting to pay cash and avoid their fee, let them know immediately up front or they'll place you at a desk where you can't use cash. These people are clearly lazy and don't want to work, I wonder where else in the state you could still have a job with that nasty of an attitude? Hmm I guess any official government office. Needless to say, you will need to clear negative energy off yourself when you leave bc it's in the air and the unhappiness was spreading, lmao!! Best of luck read more

The good old stereotypes of horrible DMV experiences have returned. I lived in Indiana for 10 years and thought the horror stories of the DMV were part of the past, as they were always smooth and easy experiences there. But not so in Burlington, Kentucky. Remember when the DMV was a joke? Everyone was miserable from having to wait for hours on end? Well that's exactly how this place is. The workers are nice enough, but that only goes so far when you take your son to get his driver's permit, he passes in 20 minutes, then they tell him it'll be 3+ hours. FOR WHAT!? Nowhere online when you make your appointment does it tell you to make sure you block off literally half of your day. We couldn't stay because he had to go to work for his third shift job. So now it's Friday, I dropped him off again to wait since he doesn't have to work tonight, and he's been there for 2 hours with no end in sight! It's ridiculous and downright unacceptable! Why do we allow this!? Too busy, open another branch! read more

Bad I tried my permit test three times First time I didn't know I needed an appointment that's fine no problem I set up a appointment 2 weeks later for my test Second time I am told that my birth certificate doesn't have my gender. This is a problem with Indiana specifically. However if you look at me I look and identify as male. That's frustrating they didn't offer a compromise for. So I order my birth certificate and make an appointment for another 2 weeks later On the website they have for making appointments I click on "drivers written permit test" and they give me time slots to do set an appointment. They had appointments available from 9:45-3:15. I wanted it to later in the day so I selected 3:15. NO WHERE on the fucking website does it say they don't accept test past a certain time. So why did it fucking allow me to make an appointment for a time I wasn't allowed to take a test. That is utter bullshit. Third time I go to this place and they said they do not accept tests past 3. They once again offered no compromise and didn't do any helpful because that was our third time being there. I know it's sometimes difficult to remember someone, but we have had no help from the person at the desk. I did not get any opportunity to test at all so I can't speak for the place itself. I went to a complete different place and they were a lot kinder and actually fucking compromised with me on everything we had done. read more
