I wasn't aware that this was a self taught CDL academy until I was notified after being kicked off the yard for exceeding my hours. So they take your money, do the whole "dog and pony show" then tell you afterwards that it's self taught and to watch videos on YouTube. The lead instructor has you stay on the yard even if you don't do anything. He has you stay just to be able to justify falsifying your hours. I learned afterwards that your hours are logged no matter what. So if you do or don't do maneuvers, pre-trip, coupling or in-cab it is logged that you did. 2 of the instructors never came out of conex. They would sit in conex and never come out to teach anything or any type of demonstration. The only thing that management was good at was making sure there was enough fuel for generator to keep connex cold enough for him to sit in all day. Eddie Muniz, I would like to thank you for your time and effort to make sure that I had an understanding of what I was learning. There were 3 instructors on the yard and you were the only one that was willing to make sure everyone was learning. I do appreciate the time you spent working with me. My youngest goes to speech therapy and they work with the therapist to work on his speech skills and in the preschool class they learn how to read and write introductory words. By the time they went to kindergarten both of my kids were confident and have really loved school. We still come to A New World for after school care since we work late and I know my kids are safe, I would definitely recommend them.

I came across some very nice daycares but also pricey. New World is definently reasonable and when I walked in for a tour it felt like the one. It's not as nice as some but it is clean and tidey. The staff made me feel like its going to be fine. It's small and friendly and I like that everyone is hanging out together and they also have cameras and a key pad outside the building. Diana was very nice and easy to talk to which helped me make my decision. Hoping I made a good decision!

Scottie and Laney were on it-super helpful with any and everything and were great with the kids. Every adult in attendance commented on their friendly professionalism. I don't have children of my own, but if the love my niece and nephew have for this place says anything, it must be great (I mean, the 4 year old wanted her party here)! If you're in search for a place for lessons for your children or a party place for kids, this was a great deal with the upmost friendly staff.

My kid went from moving his arms to basically doing less than he was doing before. They have him swim while other students swim, when he's not a strong swimmer, which is very dangerous. No one knows what is going on. The swim lessons never start on time or end at the right time. Every time I ask the manager they give me an answer and nothing ever changes . The owner needs to seriously make some changes before they loose more customers.

If you're even considering this place for your child, don't bring them here to be traumatized. I can't even begin to list off all of the laws they broke, but I'm glad that I'm out of this prison. The last two weeks of my stay were spent shut in a storage closet instead of a classroom because they failed to prepare themselves to handle children with any sort of learning difficulty. I will point out that this was a while ago since I was there, but if they're anything like they used to be, don't even consider it unless you want to pay for your child's therapy as well.

I totally recommend that every parent at least call and set up a visit to tour the facilities before making a decision to place their kids into a school. This school is known for developing children from pre-K in Lubbock all the way through high school graduation. Anyway, just thought I'd share my experiences and hopefully help to get kids into a great system.
