This is going to be kind of a long post about Quick Care Oil Lube Express Off of Bloomfield road…read moreand their "work". I have picture proof below of everything. Let me preface by saying this first. The work they did was done the last week of January this year. Ever since then i have had issues with my car. I understand it is now the end of june but i have not had the money to take my car to a shop to get looked at as we moved across the country to colorado in february. The car was towed on a dolly during our move, so it was not driven across the country. Thankfully with some assistance from my amazing mother i was able to buy a car shortly after moving here and my beetle (the car they worked on) has mostly been sitting since we moved. Also, the car was towed on a dolly during our move, so it was not driven across the country. So here we go... After getting my REAR brakes worked on in january i left the shop the first time and i couldn't stop my car without pressing the brake petal all the way to the floor (almost as if the brakes were not bled). I brought the car back immediately and after they looked at it again and was told i needed to take it to a VW dealership because they couldnt fix the issue. They bled the brakes and the issue was slightly better but not much better at all. I still had to push the brake petal down a significant amount. I then took a short trip to etown and then my FRONT tire almost fell completely off. Every single lug nut was not properly tightened down and due to this THREE of them fell off while i was driving. Thankfully it happened when i got into etown and not while going down boston road, as the road is curvy and lined with trees on both sides. Then not even a month after this work was done, the car began to make a horrible grinding sound on the left rear side (the side on which the brakes where worked on). By this time i had already moved to colorado so taking the car back to them was not an option. And i had just gotten my new (used) car at this point so like i stated earlier thats why the car has sat until now. Fast forward to now... I now finally have enough money to get the car taken to get looked at. Well here are the findings of what was done by them. The left rear caliper bolt is missing, this is causing metal on metal grinding. I will now need new brake pads, calipers and rotors. This is going to cost me $1,300. This is all due to the half ass work done by quick care. I am extremely upset as i do not have the money to even come close to fixing this issue and will end up having to sell the car due to this. This was the first car i ever purchased by myself so i am extremely upset that i will now have to sell it. I am extremely disappointed in quick care as i have had a few oil changes done by them and had an excellent experience every time, well until now. So... if you want good work done, steer clear of quick care.

I pulled into an O'Reily's (see 5star review for that!) and Jay there recommended me to Carson at Val's, who were open on Sunday. My car made it there Sunday morning. Carson took me in right away and helped diagnose my car for a very reasonable fee, as well as gave me price estimates for the repairs. Due to other work I had recently had done, we decided that the best thing for me was actually to tow back to Indy. Carson gave me some paper work and their assessment results so that I could have some more info for my home garage. This kind of service, especially for an out of state, stressed out, traveller and then they didn't even get the big job -- it's just stellar and SO appreciated. I'm in that areaa few times a year, and you'd better believe I've got their card if I ever get in a bind and need some services again, they would definitely get my business. #ReviewsByRL

I cannot recommend this machine shop enough! I was having ongoing issues with my vehicle and had…read moretaken it to multiple shops. Either no one could figure out the problem, or the repairs only worked temporarily before the issue came back. From the moment I brought my car here, they were professional, knowledgeable, and transparent. They took the time to explain exactly what was going on, what needed to be repaired, and why. Most importantly, they didn't just make a quick fix and send me on my way. They thoroughly tested the vehicle, including a test drive before returning my keys, to make sure the problem was actually resolved. It's refreshing to find a shop that genuinely cares about doing the job right and making sure their customers leave with a properly repaired vehicle. If you're looking for honest, reliable, and skilled mechanics, this is the place to go!

When we decided to stop work due to extra work and prices being added, our SUV was returned to us in worse shape than when we brought it in. This should not happen. We agreed to pay for the work that had been done. After spending nearly 300 dollars there is one working high beam headlight. This was a few days from thanksgiving, and first couple places I called wasn't able to squeeze us in. This place was! Khalid saw the van, found the problem, and his brother Muhammad confirmed it and showed me the replacement part. The oil filter housing is made of plastic so over time it will crack and leak. Seems to be a common problem for this engine that fortunately they had the part on hand. Ram dealership also confirmed it's a common issue. Anyways, it was a big job, so wasn't cheap, but they were able to give it replaced with an aluminum part which is recommended so this won't happen again, and best of all, that day. We're completely grateful we were able to make to home in time for thanksgiving. Lastly, big thanks to Muhammad for loaning us a car. When he saw that we weren't local and were traveling with dogs, he lent us a car, no charge, so we can get to a motel. And one more thing, I had the van inspected at the Ram dealership, and there said no leaks or any issues for the oil filter housing, so the install was done well!
