I attended Swim Resolution as an adult for a number of months. I got to see a number of the kids…read moreclasses as they were wrapping up as the adult class is getting started on Tuesday nights. I did notice that the instructors are great with kids but parents often had the belief that the sole responsibility for the learning was the instructor. If the kid doesn't want to do more, there is not much the instructor can do, especially if the parents don't force the kids to see it as a lesson, not just another activity. You cannot force someone to learn. As for the adult instruction, I found it helpful and the coaches were very knowledgeable. I did plateau a couple of times and I do wish there was a mechanism for the coaches to be more pro-active when you hit a road block. The reason is clear, the whole vibe is to not push as there are people with a wide range of fears and needs regarding the water. I just wish I and/or they were more on top of those moments. The coaches were very helpful and explained how the mechanisms worked in practice. They created new ways to work on various strokes to help with muscle memory. I would recommend the adult classes for any adult at any level looking to learn, ranging from overcoming the fear of the water to those working to perfect their technique. I do agree with the parents that the cost is barrier as it was on the high end of classes when I started and they then raised the prices again. I would suggest that they look at prices of their competitors as I stuck with them because I liked the coaches, not the cost.

We've attended two classes for our child and thus far everything is going great. There are family changing rooms to get young kids changed and there are also stalls to use to change. The pool is kept at 90 degrees and the room itself is very warm too. The pool is surrounded by glass walls (like a fish bowl) and chairs so you can sit in a room that's not so hot and watch your kid. If you have a very young child prepare to go into the pool.

We like that you can watch the classes through the glass (without getting wet) and you can see all the age groups practicing. We usually do one session weekly and my son has advanced so much since he started. He absolutely loves the classes and loves to swim. The only downside is the parking. You have to get there pretty early to get good parking otherwise, the lot is full as there are several other businesses around. Definitely recommend it!

The environment is welcoming for a little one who is easily stressed. We have Coach John, who I can't say enough positive things about, his patience soars to the sky. My son has had many whining episodes with tears and purely wanting to quit but Coach John never gives up. He has a way with children to make them excited about learning. He has gained my son's trust and always finds a way to make him successful. There is nothing more rewarding as a parent watching my son get out of the water beaming with pride because he accomplished a skill that he thought was unobtainable. I was surprised to read the post on here describing a terrible trip to Crystal River, Florida. We were on the same trip and had a completely opposite experience. We had a memorable and fantastic time. I appreciated the time that Coach John and the owners of Sharkie's prepared us with a well thought out itinerary and for insuring that we had all the equipment necessary. On the day of each activity, I knew exactly where to go and never had to run out to get something we forgot to bring. The particular weekend we visited was the annual Manatee festival so the area was quite busy. I appreciated the block of rooms set aside for us so I didn't have to worry about hotels being full. Coach John was thorough to explain everything to be expected that our son didn't shed a single tear out of fear. His expertise and passion for scuba has made my husband and son excited to participate in the sport. I always say, we are grooming the next Jacques Cousteau. Sharkie's has taught my son valuable life lessons to enjoy and respect the water safely. I can't say enough about this facility, the staff, and the owners. They are such a great part of our community.

I was recently diagnosed with a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot, so no more CrossFit for the…read moreforeseeable future... But that does mean I can swim. Dynamo swimming complex is just around the corner from my office and offers a wonderful swimming facility to swim at. Hours - I have to say that usually swimming pools have no available open swim hours so they are never convenient to use. No Dynamo. They are usually open for any type of drop in 1030-3pm (330 on some days). That is a ton of time! Facility - is huge! There is a smaller indoor lessons pool (88 degrees) and an indoor competition pool (79-80 degrees) that are always open during open swim. There is also a 50-m long course pool on site that opens seasonally I believe. There are multiple locker rooms with lots of showers and lockers. I think it is a wonderful spot. Cleanliness - The pool is always clean without ever a weird taste of chemicals. The locker rooms are always clean and never cluttered with stray clothes or baskets. Speaking of baskets, I love that they offer baskets for you to place your stuff in. Makes it very accommodating to get in and out of the locker room faster! Misc - There are available pull buoys and kick boards for your to use. There are never a lot of people in the pool when I come at lunch. I have never had to share a lane - once I had the entire competition pool to myself for a whole hour! Staff is always friendly. For a pool facility, I don't know what else you are looking for!

My son swam at Dynamo for three years, and I volunteered as an AO during several home meets. During…read morethat time, I was harassed by a male parent in the parking lot who was driving a blue Jaguar F-Pace SUV. The police were called, but the individual left before officers arrived. I immediately reported the incident to management and was told that several other female parents were familiar with this individual and that previous complaints had been filed. Staff assured me they would investigate the matter and address his threatening behavior. In the days that followed, while our children continued practicing four to six days per week, I observed the same parent continuing to negatively engage with other female parents at the facility with what appeared to be little or no consequence. Although the facility is modern and the coaching staff is skilled, I cannot recommend it based on my experience with its response to patron safety. A strong commitment to the safety and well-being of students, families, coaches, and volunteers should be a top priority, and I did not feel that this concern was handled appropriately.

I was urged off the wall a few times by Coach Chris and the woman over the program (I think) & finally let go. Coach Chris is a great coach! He encouraged me & was very patient as I hesitantly followed his direction. I actually did 2 laps w/ the noodle focusing on kicks and breathing! That's the most progress I've had in a swim class in a 30-minute lesson! I guess I should note, this was a private lesson and previously I've taken group lessons. Either way, I gained the most progress and satisfaction from this one class than I have in the 4 group classes I've taken twice. I can't wait to see my progress at the end of the classes. The showers and changing areas are clean and adequate. Everyone from the front desk staff to the other personnel were friendly.
