If you pull through a Waffle House, you're on the right track! Do not, I repeat: Do. Not. follow…read moreyour GPS which will tell you to turn right on the exit ramp of the highway, and which you may blindly listen to. (Ahem.) General Rental Center is woefully located on a road that is accessible only via the Waffle House parking lot (or a hidden-ish dirt road off Christian, about 1/5 a mile ahead). I greeted the front desk guy and told him I was interested in some glassware rentals for the weekend. I'd looked at the website in advance, so had an idea of what I wanted; at the Center, I got to look at them in person and confirm. The really cool thing is that they don't charge an extra fee for splitting a rack (competitors I looked at will charge you $5 to do this). They also said I could pick up anytime Friday, instead of having to get them Saturday. AND I didn't even have to pay a deposit or sign any paperwork. I mean, I did only rent a total of 50 pieces; but I've worked with rental operations before, and I have to say GRC's flexibility is really awesome. On top of that, the guy who helped me was exceptionally personable and made one of today's "chores" a pleasure!
