We needed to create a "branding" concept for a fundraising project. We scoured the internet and…read morefound Design Works. We knew from all of the examples of work in the community that they would be a good option for a group that cared about the process as much as the product. We contacted Julia and began conversing to set up a consultation appointment. She agreed to a workable time frame and even tolerated our two year old "business" partner who was more concerned with cookies and orange juice than making a logo. Julia walked us through the process and the stages of what to expect. She expertly handled the situation and ensured we were comfortable every step of the way. She submitted multiple concepts, allowed time for review, understood our concerns, listened to our feedback, and even worked with our input and wild ideas. We ended up with a logo that really embodies the idea behind our fundraising project, an Etsy store header that ties in to our products and embodies our logo for a t-shirt design concept, an avatar to match, and a printable hang tag for merchandise. We highly recommend Julia and Design Works for any project - large or small - for all of your graphic design needs. She far surpassed our expectations in every aspect!

Stay Away. I contacted Julia Ormond last year to develop my WordPress website for my photography…read morebusiness and I put down a one thousand dollar deposit for Julia to start. It was supposed to take 2-3 months max. After 6 months of many delays and only minor changes to move things along it got harder and harder to contact her, and then she stopped answering my emails, phone calls, and texts all together. I never heard from her again and I'm out one thousand dollars. She obviously isn't that talented with setting up photo sites because I've had other professional web designers look at the work done and the underlining code was a complicated mess. I finally contacted a lawyer for advice and I sent a legal document ending our original aggreement. Extremely unprofessional.

I was searching in the Raleigh-Durham area for a good place to get PPF on my new car. After…read morenarrowing my search, I ended up selecting King Tutt for a few reasons. 1. They provided prompt responses and gave a reasonable quote. 2. They had quick availability and fair turnaround time. 3. After touring their large warehouse space, seeing their staff at work (easily room for 6-8 cars in progress indoors), and the scope of work (PPF, vinyl, custom print and cut) and products (many major competing brands offered), and awards for top vendors, I was sold. My particular needs were for a high quality PPF and window tints for long-lasting work. I got an almost new used vehicle, but intent to keep it for 10 to 15 years. Steve, the owner, recommended products based on my desired outcome. He had just recently flown from overseas to check on his supplier, and keeps up to date while holding a decent amount in inventory. The product for tint and PPF came with lifetime warranty (excluding damage of course). Since my car was not brand new (demo), during installation, they found chips and a dent on the front fender tip. They ordered paint, and had the dent pulled, and damage considered, everything came out nicely, almost like new. It's not a new car, after all. Overall, if you're looking for quality work, and willing to let them do their best, they can make your car shine and last. I will recommend them to my friends, and plan to use them for more future work myself. As a family business, their size and quality of work means they stand behind their product and work, and should be around to honor their warranties. Some things are definitely worth a little more money. Say hello to Steve if you choose their business. Eric.
