Weightless relaxation awaits.

I have been to several float spas and Drift is by far the best. The staff is thoughtful and informative and the facility has always been spotless. I highly recommend Drift for any of their services.

This was an amazing experience at drift float and spa. The staff was so helpful in scheduling the perfect day. Their list of services can be overwhelming, but the guy who answered the phone help find the best services and package for what my friend and I were looking for... which was pain management and relaxation. We ended up doing the drift away package for two which is a phenomenal deal. We start off with the light therapy which seemed very "new age" to me. It was surprisingly amazing and so relaxing. It was hard to believe the 30 minutes had passed because it seem like it was only 10 minutes. Next was there 45 minute infrared light Sauna. It was relaxing in and we got a nice wet. After the sauna was the float spa. Each person has their own tab and their own room. The float spa is filled with over 1000 pounds of Epsom salt. Be careful with the salt because if it gets in your nose or eyes it can be very discomforting. The lights change color in the bathtub, but I don't think we were told that it gets pitch black, so at one point when I open my eyes it was black and I concluded that it's probably supposed to be that way and, so I just drifted into my sleep. It was a very nice experience. You must take a shower before and after the float. This is a nice experience from the first phone call to the departure. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I can't wait to come back again thank you.

I'm relatively new to the float experience. This was something I had heard about for years and wanted to try. I was surprised and excited that there was a little place in Greenville! I've had all three of my floats now, and while I'm still personally not sure if it's for me as a practice, I am sure that I will probably not come back, for reasons that will become clear. (Skip to "cons") but in the interest of fairness, I will list the pros and the cons: Pros: - Friendly, helpful staff, a lot of them have floated before and can offer helpful perspective and tips - Complimentary tea before or after your float / service, - Personalized name on the door of the suite with a fun moniker (mine was Joyful Jellyfish), - The suite is quiet, maybe soundproof? Not sure, - Can play your own music if you wish and request different lights, no lights etc. - Actual float pod is pretty nice, though I admittedly have limited experience. I liked that it was easy to open and close and had a gap to keep things from getting stuffy. - Fresh towel and washcloth, and there is body wash, shampoo, and conditioner available, including shampoo and conditioner for kinky / curly hair types, like mine (4c), so that was very nice. - complimentary ear plugs, comb, petroleum jelly (for cuts and the like), and makeup wipe The cons, including my personal death knell: - The floor of the shower is pretty slick, it's some kind of marble looking texture that, frankly, feels unsafe to be on. Some sort of non-slip material would be a better choice, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. And only one of the suites I've been in had a safety bar. I'm also not sure how often they clean those. - The towels provided, while clean, are pretty rough in texture. If you decide to go here I would definitely recommend bringing your own. - there is no separation of the floor for the spa and float pod. Both are on what appears to be a non-slip material of some kind, but it holds water and gets everywhere, and sometimes is left over for the next person :/ not a fan - The Death Knell: on my third and final float, while in the lobby, a person brought in their dog, used the bathroom, then checked in for a float appointment?? I'm deeply confused as to why dogs are allowed in a place like a spa, where people are getting intimate and hygienic treatments, let alone in the float suite itself?? And not only was the person allowed to do that, the person checking in behind them remarked that they were thinking they should have brought their dog as well, and the staff member just laughed. I was very disappointed to witness this, as Drift has a lot of things I genuinely like. However with the combination of the awkward setup and questionable hygiene, I don't think I'll be back. If an actual animal in a spa doesn't bother you, you'll be quite at home.

Booked two 60 minute floats for Black Friday. Staff was great about preparing us prior to arrival. Experience was amazing. Totally relaxing and stress relieving. Location was easy to find too.

Had an excellent experience at Drift! I opted for the 60 minute float and it was my first time, the staff member I interacted with was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had about the float experience. Very relaxing environment and clean, I had such a great experience I had to book a few more sessions before leaving! A must try!

Went today for my first float and it was great! The staff were nice and very informative. It was very relaxing and I will definitely be back to try different services!

Had my second Float today and brought along a friend for her first. Again, excellent service, welcoming, inviting, trusting. The second float was totally different from my first. And like the employee said when I was chucking out "each float is totally different." Which seems to be so true. It is hard to stop thinking about all the things one needs to do...but this time I was able to stop my constant planning/thinking in spurts and find that sweet total relaxation spot. Will be back! I need to try the Lucia Light too!

Luxury toiletries in the bathroom. I love using the salt scrub samples!

I found Drift in looking for local infrared sauna options. I had seen a sauna in Charlotte with slightly higher prices, so at a more modest price point, I walked in with zero expectations. And, WOW. Drift is a fabulous spa! The facility is extremely modern and luxurious, far nicer than I was expecting. I was blown away. I've only used the infrared sauna and the lounge here, and both are very nice. The sauna can be a challenge if you are heat-intolerant as I tend to be. When I mentioned this to Kelly, the owner, when I met her, she recommended I try different automatic programs, which run at various temperatures. I've done this and it helps a lot - I find it much more comfortable being below 140° than above it. Also included are cold water and cold, scented towels to use getting out of the sauna. These cool towels feel absolutely amazing on hot skin! I personally am using the sauna to try to treat hypothyroidism and low body temperature, which I'm assuming may take a while (if it works at all), and I don't really like heat, so I really had no expectations for immediate results. But, after my first session, I realized shortly afterward that the pain I've been having in my shoulder had basically evaporated. This made me want more! I immediately bought an unlimited package, good for 30 days and which is the same cost as 4 sessions. The price already seems fair, and this package makes the price point highly accessible. This has helped me with pain relief and also wound healing so far. And, using the spa is just a pleasure. There's a small parking lot right in front of the door, street parking very nearby, and a parking deck. The staff are all friendly and the bathrooms are outfitted luxuriously. I'm a little afraid of the float pods, but the rest of the experience is so nice, I feel I may have to try it. They offer a "newbie" float package of basically buy 2, get 1 free, saying you really need to do it 3 times to try it. I'd say the same for the sauna; I've definitely acclimated and am enjoying it more after a few sessions. Great local biz, highly recommend!

I booked my service online for a 90 minute float - which is the recommended length for a first float. I checked in at Still Point Wellness about 20 minutes before my appointment. They had me remove my sandals immediately to leave under a bench near the reception desk. They provided new footwear so I didn't have to walk around barefoot. I waited in their waiting area until it was time for my treatment. About 7 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, the receptionist ended up leading me to my float therapy room. She explained the process and then left me to it. I was nervous at first just thinking about being alone with my thoughts in a dark, small room, but it honestly was easy to get used to and a nice break from the real world. My only complaint is I don't think the water was warm enough. They said the temperature would be around 95 degrees and it is supposed to mirror the human body temperature. However, I found the water to be very lukewarm in the center of the float tank. For some reason whenever I was near the wall of the float tank, it was the ideal warm temperature for me. When the 90 minutes were up, soft music started playing and a blue light turned on in the float tank. They have a private shower in the float tank room so make sure you wash all the salt off you. Overall, I would definitely do float therapy again and hope it was just a one off with the temperature.

What a beautiful calm comforting interior. I was happy to see the lovely fish tank made the move. This visit is covered by a gift card which I decided to use for an Esalen massage with Sanne. What a delightful, kind, and in-tune massage therapist she is. She lives up to her bio: "a practice of non judgemental awareness of our body, our breath, our mind." Her lovely energy combined with an intuitive touch led to a delightful and therapeutic massage. A hour is sufficient but my next massage will certainly be longer. I purposely have not described the experience from walking in the front door and moving to the massage room. Enjoy it, feel it, and be aware of the deep relaxation that will set in.

I can't even begin to express how incredibly valuable this type of space is within a community…read more Full transparency, I grew up in a blue collar household, so the concept of a sauna and a cold plunge seemed fancy and out of reach to me for a long time. When I was 19, I started doing yoga in my bedroom off of YouTube and as you can imagine, these two worlds are intertwined. The wellness community has been talking about the health benefits of sauna and cold plunge for a long time and recently I finally "took the plunge" (I had to, sorry.) Sauna House was my first experience with a sauna/cold plunge, and I am here to tell you it is truly life changing. As a physician, at times life and work can feel overwhelming; the hours and the stress can be hard on the body. Sauna House has been a sanctuary for me where I can slow down and remember to take care of my body, so that I can continue to take good care of other people's bodies. I can't fully speak to each of the precise mechanisms and pathways through which these treatments work, but I believe it involves improvement in vascular tone with the alternating vasodilation/constriction, reduction in inflammatory cytokines, largely through the effects of cold shock proteins, and there is some domino effect, which leads to a large increase of dopamine in the brain which probably accounts for the rejuvenating "high" one experiences after the cycle. It's good for muscle recovery, inflammatory pain, and mental health. Needless to say, it is a complex but scientifically based stress reduction medium. I absolutely love how SH has built an infrastructure for this type of treatment, from their dry changing rooms, private showers, to lockers. They really thought about the flow of this space (Greenville) and it is so intuitive and welcoming. They have also made it accessible for many people, with 2 hour drop ins to their public saunas and plunges under $50, cheaper than a manicure at many places. The effects it has on your body must be experienced firsthand, I can't describe it any further and I've run on too much in this review already. PS - When plunging, go all in! It makes it easier. Oh! And order the chai tea for after the plunge. Thank me later.

I was immediately greeted and shown into the dressing area. There are electronic lockers, bathroom, shower, and vanity areas with all hygiene products provided. Inside each assigned locket is a bathrobe, towel, and plastic slippers. The relaxation room is small, however there's only 5 treatment rooms so it doesn't need to be massive. I completed the waiver and began hydrating. I met my masseuse, Nicey (pronounced Nissey) and she was absolutely incredible! Her background is in medical massage, and I was blown away by her assessment of my body when she finished. I also opted for hot stones and the CBD oils during this massage. Nicey did WORK on my body and muscles, but a good kind of work, much much needed. She was so kind. While I was changing I debated on asking about her availability. I inquired when checking out and was able to book the next day! I also chose the CBD oils again. Pretty sure I snored during this massage. It was SO relaxing. This will be my first spot next trip to Greenville! Much like the hotel, the marble work inside the treatment rooms is incredible. I left my phone in my locker so I don't have photos. FYI The spa does automatically charge at least 18% gratuity to the card on file. *note for previous review: the waiver addresses they do not provide alcohol (it can disrupt the therapeutic value); and the hotel does not have a pool for guests or non-guests.
