On March 18, 2013, I went to Transmission Solutions on a recommendation from my personal mechanic…read more I am by no means a master technician but cars are my main hobby and passion in life. I know more than most people but less than a technician. I do most of my own mechanical work but if there's something I can't tackle due to not having equipment or the comfort level, I take it to him. That said, I refuse to even think about trying transmission repairs due to the fact that one small screw up can take down thousands of dollars.. yet I have no reservations tearing apart my engine to do this or that. The shop itself is very neatly organized, spotless and would evoke thoughts that "Hey, these guys really care about their shop.. imagine how their work quality is" and that couldn't be a further shot from the truth. It took them ten days to do a rebuild on my 2003 Buick Park Avenue's 4T65 transmission and when I got it back, it had a noise issue. I was assured it was new parts "wearing in" and the noise would go away. Fast forward down the road two months, car begins shuddering violently. Transmission goes back, faulty parts. Takes another two weeks of them repairing my car. This time, I actually lost my job for not being able to make it to work. I was told when the car was returned "We aren't touching this car ever again, your warranty is void because you are clearly doing something wrong" and so the story goes. I got the car back and since May of last year, the car went from getting 29-32 MPG on the highway to 18-21 MPG and 13-16 MPG city down from 16-19. Clearly something was wrong, but I ignored it since I was reassured multiple times "the transmission was OK" Now, I'm looking at yet another rebuild. I drive the car on the highway and in light stop and go traffic. I spent $2600+ with these people only to basically be told to pound sand last year and now the transmission is acting up yet again. After seeing the negative review above, I thought I should share my story to discourage people from spending their hard-earned money with Rick and Dan. They're crooks, simply put. It's a shame!

I read all their services they provide on their website and understood that they work on a lot of Jeeps and 4X4's. I then gave them a phone call, asked some questions, and feel comfortable allowing Transmission Solutions to installed front and rear shocks. I am very happy with their services!
