PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Sloppy work at best and horrible customer service. I had a retaining wall replaced by this company at the end of January. The job specified that the wall would be replaced, as well as a slab of concrete. The day the wall was replaced, I was told by Jose that his concrete "guy" had a family event and would be out of town for two to three weeks and the job would be completed when he returned. He took a small amount off the total cost of the job with the condition that it would be paid when the concrete slab was finished. After approximately four weeks, and no word from him, I made several(over a dozen) attempts to contact him. I tried three different phone numbers, left many messages and never got a response back. Please see photos for the poor quality work. read more

Damages sustained while removing asphalt: 1. 30 ft. fence removed and portions of it saved but the saved portion was haphazardly thrown on side of road and damaged 2. Landing post ripped in half. It was an Anchor post destroyed 3. Stretch of Top bricks 10 ft in length from brick wall broken from brick wall 4. Driveway Lamp post disconnected from conduit Ruben is a professional salesman; however, once the contract is signed, things go downhill from there. I found that the quality of work and professionalism needed for the project shoddy, reckless, and haphazard. While ripping out asphalt with small bulldozers, the workers and Ruben destroyed the anchor post on my porch landing. Secondly, the top layers of bricks on my brick wall were broken. Third, the lamp driveway was disengaged from its electric conduit. Lastly, portions of my fence were destroyed when workers haphazardly threw it on the side of the road I asked that Ruben repair all of the damage he/his workers did, as they damaged it. He resisted and claimed almost no responsibility. I had a remaining $1800 to pay him as a final payment, having already paid out $15,200 and insisted he repair what was damaged before final payment. He resisted, he declared he and workers were not responsible, and then he threaten me with a mechanic liens. Needless to say, It was very menacing. Ruben can be very sweet and professional at first quote, but once the contract is signed, a Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Hyde persona comes out and his emotional state goes ballistic from 0 to 100 in seconds. My long time contractor, who has worked on my property for over 6 years, looked at the damages and said the cement guy should fix what they damaged. Warning: Having hired countless contractors to work on my property, I find professionalism and quality of work a very high concern. He will disclaim all shoddy work and damage he/his workers did to property, even if you have pictures He will threaten threaten threaten you with a mechanic lien, though the job of his workers not repairing damage to property is not settled. Very menacing, unprofessional, and quality questionable (due to so many repairs) read more

Service was awesome. Response time was quick and communication was open and timely. It was easy to setup up the service needed. In this case we had an old tree removed and replaced with a newer and younger jacaranda tree. My worry was that we just had landscaping/hardscaping done and I didn't want to ruin it with the tree replacement. Not to worry though, Dreamscapes team returned it to its original state as if they were never there. Was even kind enough to install a pipe for deep root drip watering. You can see the before and after in the pictures below. As soon as I had the tree delivered, I called them up and they had someone out the next day! And it wasn't just a guy with a shovel, he came with an excavator for speedy removal! Additionally they put 50/50 to fill in the empty space since the new tree was so much smaller. Finished it off with a good watering too! Even though it was a small project, I highly recommend dreamscapes and will contact them for any future projects that may come up. Thank you guys so much! read more

The owner actually reported me and got my updated review taken down. I'll repost it this time without offensive words! Too many contractors cheating people these days. How do we report to get their Yelp Page to post a scam warning label on them? Anyhow here's the PG/PC version downgraded from a PG-13 content. I gave Ruben a 5 star he never deserved. He dragged out my landscaping for months. His employees couldn't understand English when I was communicating with them, but he put up a fit when they drew out my plantar without getting my input. I could hear him yelling on the phone and got Ruben to confirm it later. I don't blame them. I actually felt bad for them because Ruben was the one giving them incorrect instructions. He didn't speak well of his employees. Trust me, we took care of them when it was hot and they were hungry. The rocks weren't very hard to adjust. A child could move them. I asked for a stone wall by the way and they threw in stone rocks on the floor to make my border. He misrepresented his service and supplies so many times and I ended up paying for service that I never asked form. Ruben makes you feel very sorry for him every time you talk to him. He tugs at your heart string and if you're like me, like most homeowners are, you get played pretty badly. My wife was smarter than me. She had a bad feeling about him from the beginning and kept telling me there was something off about the way he worked. He never showed up to his first appointment. There was always a major incident happening in his home which I get. It's not easy juggling a family life and business. I totally have been there which is why I repeatedly gave Ruben chance after chance He dragged out the project for months. Should have finished within 2 weeks. When projects are left unfinished it makes life difficult for the homeowners in more ways than one. He jumped from place to place and left us dry. I had to complain so many times just to get him to come out. For the last payment installation, my wife did not want me to prepay anymore. It was the only way we got him to finish the project. One the project finish I wanted to let bygones be bygones from us. What's the point of holding a grudge? I updated my review to a 5 star. It could encourage him to do more good for others if sees clients like me who are simply happy if you finish out what you started. The guy called me back and let me know he didn't expect me to leave that for him after all I went through. He appreciated it so much he pledged to change out all my gravel for rocks free of charge. Honestly I would have been just as happy if he would just honor his warranty. Grass patches that died when he was here never came back. Sprinkler controllers stopped working. Weed patches he used were so thin and ineffective it didn't take long for it to fill my yard where they were placed. Calls to him were left unanswered. We never saw him again and I don't think we need to. Just wanted to warn everyone before you take a commitment and lose all your hard earned money. We spent over $15000 with him and it's only been 2 years but we're leveling everything and starting over. Nothing he gave us is still usable. The last time I called him he picked up and spoke in Spanish. "HABLO ESPANOL?" I Heard some whispering in the background. My wife recognized his voice. I said, "Hey I know it's you Ruben. Let's talk." He hung abruptly. read more

I finally decided it was time to update my garden and control weeds by installing decomposed granite. Ruben came by and gave me a decent quote, and work started immediately. Ruben is a really nice guy and is very easy to communicate with. Ruben's crew was very responsive to some minor change requests. The crew is very impressive. They are not only hardworking, they are clean and professional. Each night, all equipment was put away, and our patio swept, very tidy. When I update my front yard, Dreamscapes will be the first I call. I am very happy with how my garden came out and how well the entire experience was. Thanks, Ruben! read more

Ruben was the last of many quotes I received to demo my old driveway and pour new concrete as well as grade and level my entire backyard and install decomposed granite, and he was able to beat every quote I received with very reasonable pricing. His crew started work the next day after signing the contract and the entire job was completed in 7 days. My favorite thing was being able to pay in increments online with a credit card without any additional processing fees. We only paid what we were quoted. Ruben was incredibly responsive and easy to talk to throughout the process and even threw in a couple extra services free of charge to help ensure the project came out looking great! My only critique (and this is true for every contractor I've hired) was that they did try to push us to pay most of the money up front before work was completed and it was challenging to pay after work was done, but with some pushback, we were able to delay payments until we saw completed work, and Ruben was still very respectful throughout the back and forth. read more

The company was very quick to provide a quote and rework their quote when I wasn't going to use them due to pricing. However, once we signed a contract on 2/25/25 they started the job immediately and after the first day and most of the money paid to them, the delay excuses and lack of communication began. The job was to completely renovate our front yard, removing three large trees, building a small retaining wall to level the yard, new sprinklers, and sod and it was agreed to be completed within 2 weeks with a cost of 20k. After countless excuses, lack of communication, and no shows, today we are 5 weeks out and only the trees have been removed and the trench for the retaining wall is dug. We always get the excuse "sorry for the delayed response....", "let me check to see what's going on", "I'll provide an update in 2 hours", etc. We sent a demand letter last week for the project to be completed by this Thursday (4/3/25), and the company acknowledged receipt of notice and assured us it will be done. It will never be done this week, as they didn't show up on Saturday or today (Monday) as promised. I really wish they would just come complete the job we agreed upon, but unfortunately that's not the case. I would highly recommend that you stay away from this company at all costs as they have no integrity and don't care once they get your money. read more

This will be a second review of this company after taking down my first, as a request from Reuben in order to make things right. As a customer, Ive been the one to continually follow up with work that hasn't been completed since August of 2024. I can't count the number of times I've been promised that my job would be completed. I paid for over 1400 square feet of concrete to be poured and stamped and sealed. Initially Reuben was on top of it. He literally got started the very next week after giving me a quote. Everything was completed except the sealant. He asked that I pay the remaining balance of the job, so I paid in full, cash which was a big mistake. Since I paid him in full I had a guy named Robert Garcia show up to my house threatening to put a lean on my home because he did not receive his money in full from Reuben. He was under the impression I never paid for the job until we both showed each other the messages from Reuben. During the job the guys pulled sprinklers from parts of my yard and were never fixed. The pop up drain installed in the concrete was placed in a low spot not even draining to the front side walk that we talked about. But it was fixed 2 months later , after texting Reuben probably 2 to three times a week with every excuse on why he wasn't able to fix the problem faster. My cement has been power washed probably 7 times? With the intent of having it sealed. But that never happened. I've texted Reuben about having another company finish the job and to just give me my refund for the concrete sealant. So far nothing. Here are some pictures of what's going on read more

Hired this company based on reviews however I think my husband was looking at Dreamscape landscaping in Glendoras reviews and not Dreamscapes Rancho Cucamoga. He hired Ruben and he initially seemed professional however we hired them to resurface, patch and seal cracks and leave a smooth surface in our backyard pool area as Ruben said he knows how to do masonry work. This proved to be a very wrong, see photos. The workers showed up started painting did not seal concrete properly and did not mask anything off to prevent paint splash. They did not resurface and smooth any cracks per conversations of scope of work instead left this mess (see photos) and demanded final payment. They came back and sloppily tried to fill cracks and never completed this correctly as you see by all the shiny lines and brush strokes. They asked for $1500 deposit up front and then $2000 at completion of work for a total of $3500 to do this SLOPPY JOB! My husband complained about work and Ruben threatened to put a lien on our home and would not do what was agreed upon and he kept saying, we said it was okay, Which after multiple conversations that is not true. My husband caved to his pressure and treats and paid him for this crappy job. I would NOT Trust this person to do what he says he can do it is kind of obvious by his pictures of heavy equipment and empty fields. So be careful if you think you are hiring the other company with similar name. Zoom in closer to his work. It is clear by the poor quality work in the photos attached to this review that show the ethics and lack of integrity of his workers and this business. They have no idea how to do masonry work. read more

I am selling my condo in N. Fontana and felt the outside patio needed a little sprucing up. I wanted to add mulch to give it a little bit more curb appeal. After sending a bunch of quotes out on Yelp. Ruben reached out to me and told me he would go out to my place while I was at work and take a look at it. He got back to me with a quote and we agreed on the project. There was some delay because the availability of the mulch. Ruben suggested gorilla hair mulch for the project due to the high wind probe area. I am glad we went with that mulch, we have had some pretty bad wind events in the last week and the mulch has not moved at all, good call for suggesting that specific mulch. Overall very pleased with the work, and would recommend them for your landscaping projects. read more

My mud hill was sliding down into my sidewalk, the sidewalk drain was full of mud, and I contacted several people for quotes to clear the drain and mitigate the mud-slide problem. Ruben was very responsive and quick to come out to review. He provided a few options based on my budget. RG Landscaping was priced a little higher than others but he was quick to respond and over all, I felt more confident about the quality of work I'd get based on his professionalism. I was right - the hill turned out great, a variety of plants were planted, irrigation adjusted, & drain cleared. Ruben & his crew were quick, professional and friendly. I'd definitely recommend him for future work. read more

Ruben and his team did a great job with weed abatement and grading of our front and backyard. ABSCOUNDED WITH OUR DEPOSIT; NEVER FINISHED THE JOB! This guy took our deposit on Dec 6, 2021 and ripped us off. He was all talk; came back about 2 months later after much harassing by me and worked on the brick project ONE DAY; left his materials but never finished the job. We were in the process of selling the house so we had to get another contractor to finish the job. Shame on Ruben for stiffing an elderly Christian couple who trusted him and gave him 80% of the money to start the job. May God judge him for that. I do not recommend him. read more

Totally unreliable. Made an appointment and then the owner Ruben had to postpone it to the next day. Well, he never showed up the next day also. I took time off from work just to be home for the appointment. Called him and texted him to find out where he was. No response. To flake out twice shows that this business is unreliable, let alone absolutely unprofessional. If he couldn't bothered to be on time just for an appointment and never bothered to respond , don't expect him to do a good job and to finish on time with the project. Update: the owner finally called me back. He said his guy had been calling me. Which was BS. It turned out that his guy had been calling me on a wrong number. But yet this owner contacted me the day before at the right number! So not only are they unreliable, they are also incompetent. read more

One of our rental properties needed landscaping in the city of Colton and we found RG Landscaping as they were very responsive and willing to negotiate project terms and ideas. We wanted a minimalist modern dessert style setup and Ruben who took lead of this project hit all of our expectations. The landscaping was beyond exceptional, price was on point, and professionally done. All I can say is this is by far one of the best companies I have ever worked with. So I bought the weed barrier that he was supposed to put down and scraped the rock back that he laid down and he lined the soil with the empty bags from the sand that he bought and some of the plastic bags from the rocks. He buried the garbage from the job in lieu of actual weed barrier. Note to self: It doesn't keep the weeds away!! Also my back patio looks EXACTLY the same now, he didn't compact the sand so it settled in the same position as it was before he came. The job he did on the back is basically non existent. I noticed a leak coming from our system. I reached out and with a couple of hours, we got an appointment. Best part was, it was all through text. Personally I hate phone calls, so it was a good start. He came out to see me the next day and right off the bat, could tell what was wrong with my system. He gave me a quote for what was obviously wrong. The price did increase once they saw the extent of the problem, which was reasonable. He still gave me a discount at the end for the work that was done. Now I have a piece of mind and their work is guaranteed for a year. read more

Me & my wife were sweating to put it mildly after we had a huge tree removed from the hill behind our house. The tree guys we had hired to remove the tree had left a mess and pretty much destroyed our drip lines we had for our fruit trees and other trees/plants. We decided to use YELP to get some different perspectives and estimates for our project. Ruben from RG grading & landscaping showed up first and gave us a very thorough and direct estimate along with a very impressive description of what he was going to do and how he was going to do it to give us what we wanted. After meeting with him I almost cancelled the other estimates that were scheduled because the way he displayed his confidence and knowledge in giving me and my wife exactly what we were asking for to make our back hill what we desired sounded to good to be true. After 5 more estimates none of them compared to Rubens. He wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive but his confidence and knowledge coupled with his customer service were impeccable. I will NEVER use anyone else for any future landscaping projects we may have. Ruben & his team are legit. read more

I received several quotes before moving forward with our landscaping project and Ruben was the first to respond, the most professional and the most reasonable with pricing. Not only did he provide a fair rate but he was thorough in his communication and accommodating! (Even with my changes half way thru the initially agreed to design) Throughout the project, Ruben emphasized that the client satisfaction was his priority and he would not settle for a lesser quality material or workmanship. The outcome of his work is a beautifully landscaped backyard that our family can enjoy and cherish for year's to come. DO NOT HIRE THIS "COMPANY" Where to begin.... When Ruben came to give us an estimate in last July, he promised the sun and the moon for an amazing price and said he could start the following week. He assured us his guys were all "licensed, bonded, and insured". Once we decided to go with him, we immediately saw RED FLAGS: * He asked for half the cost of the project before starting ($20,000), we were not comfortable with that, so he settled for 10% * He asked that our checks be written out to his wife not the business * The checks were cashed at our bank for cash. After checks were cashed, we stopped hearing from him. When we texted or called, he would randomly respond with some crisis that prevented him from responding. After months of back and forth with no work being done, we learned his guys were not licensed, and ruben is not a licensed contractor.   We told ruben we would not be needing his services and asked him to return our money.   In October we made an agreement with Ruben to return our money. First, he wrote us a check for half of what was owed, and that check bounced. So we told him we would work with him and accept weekly payments of $500. Since Dec 5, he has only provided 3 payments. He rarely responds to messages and always has excuses.   BE WARNED: He had a bad review on his account before, and he was able to convince us the person was unreasonable and we believed him. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID. Believe me when I say this man will take your money and you won't have any work done. KEEP SEARCHING! read more
