9/25/21 Update…read more Walter finally returned to my property to review the broken & buried step stones as well as the low edging they installed. He said the reason they buried my step stones so low into the DG is because to raise them higher is a "trip hazard." (see photos below). I cross-checked this with two other Landscape architects and they all agreed this is not true, and Walter is simply lying in an attempt to avoid the high costs to correct his poor work. Rightfully so as this would be a time consuming and costly correction. Regardless, on Sept 25th, Walter agreed to schedule someone to lower the DG levels, repair the stones and raise the edging. Incomplete but better than nothing. At the time of writing this review, it's been over 3 weeks since his promise and I've received zero communication from him to date. On Oct 8th I followed up and as he's done everytime before, he's simply ignored me. I really tried to level with this guy but you can't make a rotten apple crisp. Walter's not interested in keeping his word but if you insist on hiring Walter anyway, I would strongly advise you properly check all of his work well before paying him the remaining balance. Otherwise once he has his money, it's unlikely he'll care to adhere to his own "Guarantee."

We have already passed his number on to friends and neighbors and would recommend him for any upcoming project you have. The centerpiece of our project was a large (over 120') custom designed fence, requiring a short concrete retaining wall, and including three sliding gates (one being a large motorized gate for vehicle access). But behind that fence Walter also landscaped our entire backyard. He removed an extremely overgrown forest of bamboo-like plants that were taking over the yard and the collection of weeds we called a "lawn." In their place he put a 480 sq.ft platform Trex deck, new hedges, fruit trees, a little decomposed granite and some fresh grass for our daughter to play on. He also updated our sprinkler system, installed gutters on the house and garage, and addressed some long-standing drainage problems on our property. It was large project that Walter handled with care and clear communication. We were in contact with him via email, text and phone throughout, and he was super responsive. We were also pleased with the crew's COVID-19 protocols. They kept their distance and all had masks that they wore whenever our family was around. We came to Walter with a very clear vision of what we wanted and he was able to make it a reality. We are so very happy with the finished product and will definitely be calling him again when it's time to do the front yard.

All told, there was an additional 600 sq ft added to our home. Roei was timely with estimates and priced fairly. His crew worked hard and interacted with our family respectfully. He recommended excellent vendors. His subcontractors were extremely professional and timely as well. Whenever we hit a surprise (there weren't many, which is saying something given the size of the job), Roei handled it calmly and confidently.
