On the day of, we spent time designing a beautiful and delicious charcuterie platter. Then it was time to really roll up our sleeves. We sanded, aged, stained, stenciled, painted, sanded some more and drilled our way to our final masterpieces. The Instructors and Assistants were all very helpful and patient. They came around and offered assistance and guidance at every step of the project. I must have changed my mind 3 times each on stain and paint colors. This workshop was a lot of fun and well-worth the drive to Melbourne. I definitely recommended checking them out, especially if you enjoy hands-on crafty projects.

The place is on the smaller side and was packed. I'm sure the kids being on break had it more slammed than normal. The entire place was nice and cleaned (very organized). It is definitely expensive and not something we would do again soon. Maybe a mom night out in the future. I deducted a star because honestly parking is a nightmare. I was not familiar with the area and there was street parking... random paying parking, there was no clear sign for the parking behind their building (an email said that there was parking behind there). This place would be soooo great if there was a real parking lot, maybe in the future in another location. I do recommend this as something fun to do.

I also invited our family and some friends. It was everyone's first time taking a Painting with a twist class and we all loved it. They allow you to bring your own drink and food. We brought wine and a charcuterie board and it was so easy to munch and sip through out the class. I loved how they have the stations set up and aprons to use. They play fun music and the class is very easy to follow. I was surprised by how great we all did and it was very cool to compare our art at the end. The teacher was very sweet and had a great personality for teaching. Overall the class was worth every $ and we would love to come back and do another class soon. As locals it's great to try something new in our neighborhood.

What I got was a fun, entertaining, and truly special evening all the while painting (which I had never done in my life. The moment you walk in, the staff helps with the selection of colors, the prep and points you to your assigned seats (written down by name!) Then that's where the fun begins. The artist walks you through, step-by-step on how to pull of the painting - I had my doubts I could actually do it, but even though I'm saying this myself, I think I did a pretty good job. There was friendly and fun banter throughout the whole process, a break period where we had a fun game drawing a cow (or was it a giraffe?) and even someone won a prize. I stayed for about 6 hours, and during that time I noticed several issues: Many kids were not sharing or playing nicely, and no staff stepped in to guide or correct them.The front desk lady's own child was especially up-noxious and disruptive, which made the situation even more frustrating ,There was also a woman who sat at the front table nearly the whole time without watching her child. In all the hours I was there, she only got up maybe twice to check on them. This place could be so much better if staff were more attentive and if children were encouraged to play respectfully.
