The banquet hall was very large and the tables were tastefully set. It was a packed house. The website says it can fit almost 400 people. Hors d'oeuvre consisted of stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, calamari and assorted cheese and crackers. All were very good. Appetizers of salad and bow tie pasta were brought to the table family style and water pitchers were constantly refilled. The entree (chicken, roasted potatoes and veggies) and dessert (tiramisu)were brought by the staff who were all very attentive, friendly and respectful. Portions were generous. Food came out at the right temperatures and all was very good, most impressive when serving such a large crowd. The place had a nice layout and did not seem at all cramped. It boasts the largest dance floor in CT ( no dancing at this particular event) which is really cool. Really nice place that I would recommend checking out for an event or large gathering. They also do special holiday dinners and a buffet with free entertainment every Tues.

It will WOW your guest in more ways than one and it was a STUNNING place to take pictures! I should start off by saying Shiran and Sandy are a DREAM TEAM. They helped me from start to finish a year in advance with my wedding through me panicking and wanting to see the venue about 1,000 times for my "vision". They were always happy to give advice and to open up the doors for me! The day before we were let in to drop some things off which was great so we didn't have to worry the day of. Most venues don't allow that so I am so happy they did. There is ample parking and the space is new and beautiful. Shiran did a GREAT job with the lighting (such a talented jack of all trades). Do not hesitate to book this place... it was our favorite part of our wedding and our guests too! Open and airy (we were able to keep the huge doors open to the deck on the river). We can't recommend it enough! P.S. It was amazing to see all of our friends change their profile pictures to them in front of all of the murals at the venue!

This place has the potential to be a 5. It has not realized that potential yet. My score of 4…read morereflects some aspects that are a 5, and some that are lower. What I liked: - Wonderful location - good selection of beer and wine. - excellent swordfish special cooked to perfection ((blackened, flavorful, and moist) - live music on Sunday afternoon. - reasonable prices. Areas to improve (?): - It might have been busy when I arrived, but there seemed to be a long time lag between ordering and delivery. - need better (more) bathroom accommodations.

The hostess, wait staff and bartenders were all excellent and provided great service with a smile. The location on the water is a fantastic spot, particularly during the warm weather months if you like to be near to the Marina. My wife and I ordered the New England clam chowder to start, which came out right away and was delicious. Our entrees unfortunately took a very long time to come out from the kitchen from the time that we placed our orders. It was just over 45 minutes. This appeared to be a kitchen staffing issue as we saw several other tables having a similar issue. We both ordered the stuffed sole which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. We were disappointed with the ratio of fish to stuffing in that they were using smaller, thin strips of sole, wrapped around larger portion of stuffing. The stuffing was mostly bread stuffing and it was not so flavorful. So, while we were served plenty of mashed potatoes and stuffing, the fish portion seemed very small. We plan to try Outriggers again when they are offering their full menu as it really is a lovely place with friendly waiters and waitresses , who repeatedly apologized to us for the slow kitchen on this particular day.

I am SO not surprised: As soon as I entered, the friendly (perfectly helpful) person behind the desk helped us, though the type of room we we reserved wasn't available. He was wonderful otherwise. The guy speaking to him at the desk was completely making disgusting racial sexual remarks to my partner. Totally inappropriate and absolutely disgusting. Really unprofessional to even allow this to be. I left the counter in disgust. Upon entering the room, it was bare-bones. This was almost ok until I entered the bathroom: a roll and a quarter of the cheapest TP possible; no tissues in the tissue holder; a soap; no dryer; huge clog in sink; dirty black spots in shower, so disgusting I didn't set foot in it; hair and dust/grime in bathroom corner. I'm actually REALLY not that particular. Really. I just need a clean, operative sink/shower/soap/drain/towels/lights. I forgot to mention the lamps didn't work. Yes they were plugged in. Outlets, check. We left to go get (purchase) water. The key didn't work to get back in. I give this place NO stars. Yelp forces me to put at least one. I do begrudgingly so you don't have to go through this. Oh, and the internet only worked intermittently. I had to re-sign on repeatedly. And, I needed a pen to write on paper, some directions because my phone wouldn't charge. Now I think it was the outlets not working properly, as it's fine today, elsewhere. There was not even a PEN or PAPER in this room. When we went downstairs to check out, the clerk was wonderfully friendly/pleasant. Loved him. We went to the lobby to write down there info we needed, and again there was someone else 'talking' to us, possibly itinerant/homeless/crazy. I then ran away. This place is awful. Look at the photos. There is trash and empty bottles EVERYWHERE outside. We are now in the Holiday Inn, Bridgeport, right across the bridge, on foot about 10 min; in car probably 1. GO THERE INSTEAD, it's a million times better. Completely luxurious and definitely worth it to NOT be at this 'hotel'. I would have rather slept in the car in the parking lot.
