I searched high and low for a salon in St. Louis that uses hard wax and is not booked a month in advance. I called Jaclyn and not only did they have the hard wax, but she was able to fit me in the following day! Jaclyn did my wax and she clearly knew her stuff. She wore gloves, it was fast, hygienic, and virtually pain free. She knew to press down on the skin after she pulled the wax, which makes it much less painful. I would highly recommend Jaclyn.

She did a trial of my hair a few months out which was great and allowed me to not worry when it came to the big day. She also had a wonderful waiting area in her salon where we could hang out while the other person was getting their hair done and she provided us with some snacks and mimosas which was really going above and beyond. She got all of us in and out in about 2 hours which is just what we had planned, causing no delays in our getting ready schedule. I tried to make an appointment online but had some technical issue so I called instead. This was all done the morning of, and yet they were able to have me come in later that afternoon. It's a clean, small space but it's got everything you can imagine. There's plenty of parking in front of the salon. Tiffany was my stylist, and I was warned that she was going to charge more than the other stylists due to her experience (note -- all stylists charge differently based on this). As a Californian who has paid way too much for the simplest of cuts, I can genuinely say Tiffany's surcharge was 1000% worth it. She was so kind and personable, and that really made the experience. She gave me her honest thoughts and was very communicative throughout the process. She really gave me the exact hairstyle I asked for after barely flashing her a photo, and I'm so endlessly impressed! Despite constantly cycling through short hair, I've actually never liked myself in it very much. However, Tiffany's work allowed me to feel more confident in rocking a short cut than I've ever felt!
