At first I wasn't going to leave a review, until I had the chile relleno, that was over the line. The good part of the review is the hot carrots were great and reasonably priced. I got 50 cents back in change so 20 bucks bought me two orders of hot carrots plus the chili relleno taco. The taco was so small when they wrapped it up I thought it was the utensils. It would have made Taco Bell embarrassed to produce that taco. No cheese, no lettuce, no salsa, no queso Viejo just bare very thin, small. Doesn't look anything like the pictures. When I got home I had to put stuff on it just to make it sort of okay. The beans were the best part of the plate. The rice seemed parboiled or at least way way undercooked, almost flavorless. It's like they never made rice before. Now for the chile relleno lots of surprises here. First the cheese inside, I don't think was real cheese it was hard and rubbery like cheese that had been fried in oil. At first I spit it out because I didn't recognize it as cheese or whatever it was . What I thought was sauce in the bottom of the container was actually the frying oil. It was absolutely the worst chile relleno I had ever seen. In general the plate was lame no lettuce, no cheese on top to sprinkle on, no cheese in the taco no Salsa Fresca and no sauce at all for the chili relleno . I am of Hispanic descent and have had these dishes all my life. It's almost like they made the conscious decision to make a garbage plate . English is a challenge here even with basics . No utensils, no napkins and none available. No paper menu and no website. I guess you get the drift if they can't do basics? I hope they get better, it's not that hard.

The service did an excellent job and getting everyone their meal in a surprisingly fast fashion. I had the breakfast hash, which was perfect for a very hot Saturday morning brunch. It was accompanied by a Carmel mocha latte, but I didn't really taste the caramel. Excellent meeting place.

THE GRUB : let's just get to it, the French toast had fresh berries, lemon cream, and whipped cream and bread the size of a half loaf was amazing, along with the omelettes and the scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Even the kids French toast was amazing , Great food from the cooks. 5/5 for all menu items. The only less-than-average item was the dry, safari-desert biscuit in the shape of a muffin. Clever packaging just not practical or savory. But the service lacked what I expected for this place. The inability to get simple things, such as refills on my drinks, napkins, syrup, or jelly, was frustrating, as it only seemed like there was one person up front, one waiter, and one waitress to serve the many people in the dining room. It was hard to get a hold of somebody when I wanted something as simple as those items.i totally blame management and ownership for this particular issue, as the staff when contacted was very cultural and quick to return to the table however because I couldn't get all of the items to make my breakfast the best it could be 3/5 stars . Overall, 4/5 stars for leaving the family with a bone-dry drinking cup and going home as thirsty as I showed up. BTW I'm still waiting for jelly for that bone dry biscuit that I asked for 4 minutes after getting my food..
