I was honoured that my little one was the flower girl and her beautiful little bouquet actually survived the whole day and another two days without me really caring for it. Beware - Fraudulent Behavior by Paradise Events and Liting Chan…read more I paid a deposit of nearly $23,000 to Paradise Events and Liting Chan for floral décor four years ago. The wedding was canceled due to Covid (the planning service fee of $6000 was paid separately), and no flower décor were ever provided. Despite multiple attempts to contact her via calls and emails, she has refused to respond or refund my money. I have since left Canada and the deposit was lost forever. Her actions are dishonest and unprofessional--avoid doing business with them if you don't want to risk losing your money.

Even the arch was too large at the lowest point of the tent and would have damaged my flowers. When I got to the venue, they forgot parts of the arch and no one was around. I phoned the company and informed them the tent was too small and erected too close to the fence, they did absolutely nothing about it and I was told that it was the renters responsibility to determine the size of the tent. One would expect that they would be subject matter experts on which size tent to recommend and I would have happily paid for the correct size tent. This is totally unacceptable and cause me a significant amount of anxiety on my wedding they. I have written a formal complaint and phoned them and their response has been passive aggressive. I basically paid for a tent I couldn't use and my guests had to sit in the hot sun. One of my guests has health concerns and was really struggling with the heat. They do not communicate with you at all on the day of the event and just take off not checking in if you are okay with the set up. There is NO way I would have been able to fit everything under the tent. I am still waiting for their response. Please do not use this company because they don't take any accountability and just take your money! They will threaten you if you post a negative review and google you and go after your business, which they did to me.

Pedersen's.... is awesome…read more As an event planner, I constantly have to rent event equipment (tables, chairs, etc.) and Pedersen's is my go to spot. They have everything from tables, bar furniture, ice caddies and more. I've rented from them a few weeks in advance and a few days before a party, and they've always been able to supply equipment. Besides having an extensive catalogue, their staff are so helpful and kind. Between the customer service managers and the delivery team, everyone I've come into contact with has been a pleasure to work with. Why rent from another place when Pedersen's has it all?!

Kyle was extremely responsive, with the most helpful responses from the four or five companies I contacted, as well as providing easy access to photos of equipment. Kyle was super easy to work with, he came in advance to check out the location, arrived on time for delivery and pickup, did not need help from us in getting anything in, and was extremely helpful and flexible in getting everything set up. It all worked perfectly, and guests were very complimentary. The prices were reasonable, and Kyle went the extra mile of bringing a few extra decorations which really helped our little retro arcade display shine. Highly recommended!
