I almost didn't come because of the reviews, but let me tell you....... I'm VERY happy I did. I booked a spa day at Dream Day Spa for my friend's birthday this past weekend and I enjoyed every moment of my time here. We booked about a week out so I was thrilled that they were able to accommodate our party of 7. Upon arrival we were greeted in the cute little lobby, escorted to the lounge area and given our choice of mimosas or regular beverage. We were shown a small room that had a bag, robe and slipper with our names on it for us to change into. Once we were changed we got to sit and enjoy each other's company in a cozy little lounge area until the missuses came to get us two by two. The massage was AMAZING and definitely worth the drive we had to take to get there. When I tell you I had to tell her in the middle of my massage "I don't know what it is your doing, but that feels amazing!" believe me!!!!!!! -- because whew chile!!!! She loosened up my back in a way I had yet to experience. We received 60 minute massages and then headed back into the lounge area to receive our foot soaks while two other people in our party were escorted into the massage rooms. That water, those rocks, and moisturizing oils felt so good y'all. Oh Em Gee! And someone came in and refilled it every time it thought about getting warm. Another thing I really liked was the cute little charcuterie-like board they offered us during the foot soak (oranges, cheese, crackers, chocolate). I wish it had more variety on it, but it was a nice touch to us relaxing. We were there for maybe 2 1/2 hours and it costed $150 pp. I tipped $30 because the massage was so good, so all in all I paid about $180. WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!! I definitely plan to return. May bring my husband or my Mom. Thank you Megan for not only accommodating us, but for the top tier service for both you and your staff. I've been a big fan of Dream Day Spa for many years. Don't know what took me so long to finally get around to writing a review. Meagan has built a fabulously relaxing spa space with a variety of terrific treatments. There are plenty of options and packages from which to choose to make your time at the spa perfect for your needs and budget. My go-to is the basalt hot stone foot bath before a Swedish massage. Sometimes I'll add a facial. It's a special treat to get the little appetizer tray (cheese, crackers, fruit and chocolate) and some bubbles while unwinding and soaking the tootsies in the lounge before my massage. Highly recommend spending time at Dream Day Spa for some rejuvenation. This reminds me...I need to book my next appointment stat! read more

I work 30 years in the fire department and played a lot of Contact football over my years needless to say I've had many many Masseuse. I recently went with my wife for a couples massage at dream day spa in Folsom. My masseuse name was Joyce. My wife had the owner. Joyce was by far the best masseuse I've experienced in my entire life. It was as if she was silently speaking to all of my aches and pains/muscles and responded to them with exactly what they needed. I am not kidding. She is a master of her craft and by the looks of my wife and what she was telling me the owner was also. Time to relax and filled pampered! I like how they label the robes and make it a personalized experience. Negative was they didn't have robes big enough for a plus size person. Hopefully they will incorporate a few bigger robes. My mom made us the reservation and specified vegetarian. It was a small mishaps but we didn't get the biggest light lunch. My husband and I were in the area for our anniversary and chose Dream Day Spa on a whim for a couple's massage. It was so delightful! The customer service to get everything setup with easy & thorough, the ambiance was very relaxing and the massages were so, so wonderful-- we were each quite pleased! It's been a while since I've been in, but better late than never for a review. I had come in when the owner Meagan had just taken over and she is the absolute sweetest! I booked a couples massage on our way out of town for a trip and the masseuses were great, very friendly and good at what they do. They had just had a flood downstairs which caused the power to go out halfway through the massage and when Meagan found out after, she offered for us to come back in on her day off for a re-do, which I absolutely declined. I bought a groupon for the Heavenly Day at the Spa - It included: Hand treatment Hot stone foot soak Steam room Swedish massage or facial Snacks and drinks The spa is located in an old Victorian home. It's quaint. My fiancee and I ended up doing the steam room first... I don't think it got warm enough for me to really sweat, so I guess this was just ok. The next thing was the hot stone foot soak. This was nice. I enjoyed it but I felt like maybe this is a little gimmicky. I'd rather have a pedicure type chair with tub basin if I wanted a foot soak. This is when they served us mimosas and some snacks. Pretty good for something to nosh on while having a relaxing treatment. The hand treatment was done with soy wax. You are supposed to stick your hand in the bag of wax and wait as it works its magic... I was going to take off my ring when she did this but she said I could keep it on. The wax would come right off. This was not correct. I have a ring with a stone in it so the wax got stuck in the crevices. The hand treatment was relaxing but I wasn't really happy about the wax chunks stuck in my ring. My fiancee and I split up because he got the massage and I got the facial. I was pretty happy with my facial - She gave me a massage on my arms while some of the masks were doing its job on my face. My fiancee loved his massage. All in all, a nice place - They have punch cards that you can get a free one - a massage or facial - after so many purchases. I probably would come in more often if I lived closer. read more

I am pretty upset with Dream Day Spa. My mother and I purchased gift cards for one another (which by the way, don't buy gift cards here because of their ridiculous policy which I will elaborate on), I'm 36 weeks pregnant and my mom is moving out of state so we scheduled our facials in advance to ensure we could use said gift cards prior to the move and/or baby's arrival. I received a text message an hour before my scheduled appt canceling our facials due to an aesthetician issue, they said the manager would call me by a certain time to explain. I had already arranged and paid for child care, AND never received a call by the time they said so I texted asking to speak to someone. They refuse to refund our gift cards, even though there is no other way we could reschedule, even if we wanted to. I was told at least TWICE that the owner is too busy to talk to me. And their cancellation policy is as follows: "If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the package/service the full price will be charged to the credit/debit card that was provided during the booking"....so they can cancel my appointment an hour before, but I have to give them 48hrs notice otherwise I'm charged. Oh also, if they run any kind of special or discount, you can't use your gift card towards the special...this place just wants your money and doesn't care about customer service. I will be filing complaints. If I could give zero stars I would, but Yelp forces me to give 1 star. EDIT: I'm unable to respond aside from editing my original response. Everyone should go read all their 1 star reviews on Google-they're almost all gift card holders whom they cancel on last minute. In response to the owners response-I offered to talk to you before reporting you and you refused. In regards to scheduling we were hoping for a mother/daughter day before a new baby and her move...I'm not sure why that's you're business but there ya go. Another note: if we had had COVID and canceled less than 48hrs before our apt time, you would have taken our money, and stated that's you're policy. There's always an exception to every rule, you're CHOOSING to keep people's money and not abide by the same standards you require of your customers. Im giving 2 stars because the services were lacking for the price you pay. I Had foot treatment, facial, 30min massage, and tub soak and lunch. My biggest complaint here is that "lunch" was $20 and it was a half sandwich and half salad, I could have gone to Panera and paid less and felt full. Don't waste your money on the meal. Also trying to call them to even get scheduled took a week. My boyfriend called several times and even texted them. They only responded to the text. The facial left me more oily feeling than refreshed but probably the only thing really worth the money. The massage was good but the techniques used weren't like ones I've had before at more established places. Everything about this day spa is lovely: the feminine decor, the products sold in the reception area, the champagne, and gregarious staff. I received a European facial. It was relaxing and effective. I also liked the Pevonia products. It cost $85 and lasted 85 minutes. The extra 25 minutes longer than a typical facial made a significant difference in the thoroughness of the extractions, amount of massage, and impact of the mask. In addition to all these wonderful things, the facial was extraordinary because I've never experienced extractions with such little pain. The esthetician carefully probed my pores and readjusted her technique whenever I winced. When I paid the bill, I received a gift bag that contained a little card, a chocolate, and samples of the products used. The spa is located on the upper level of a large house. It would take me 30 minutes to write about the full experience, so I will just give a quick rundown of what we liked and what we didn't: Service: 5 stars! The service was top knotch. From the woman who greeted us upon entry to the young ladies who brought our drinks and massaged our hands to the estheticians, we were very pleased with the service....so much so that my boyfriend asked to leave more than 20% for a tip. Treatments: Our facials were nice, but my girl didn't do any extractions so I felt a bit like I paid a few hundred dollars to have lotion rubbed on my face. I would give mine 3 stars. My boyfriend felt his was a more thorough facial however he did not like the fact that we were separated for the facials and neither did I. The steam room was very nice. 4 stars. It only lasts 15 minutes so we didn't really start feeling it until there at the end, but we enjoyed sweating it out and loved the cold stones and cloths we were given. The foot soak is just hot water poured in a bowl with a few stones at the bottom which is fine because that is all I expected...The boyfriend was a bit disappointed with it however and found the bowl small and uncomfortable on his feet. 2 stars. For the Soy Hand Treatment, they poured the wax from the aromatherapy candle out and rubbed our hands. It was simple but we enjoyed the experience. 3.5 Stars. One negative though was that they brought us juice, water and some fresh fruit and crackers, but then started our hand massage so we couldn't really eat =( Here are some negatives: You are in a small space, mostly separated by sheets so it's never as quiet or peaceful as you'd like because you can always hear others talking. During our foot soak we had some chatty ladies in the room and it was a bit off putting. There were also more people than we would have liked in the space and when you are walking around nude under a robe and taking it off and on, most people would like more than a sheet between them and a stranger. My boyfriend is pretty sure another customer got a nice view of him between the crack in the curtain as he was taking his robe off LOL. I'm happy for her :) We did feel a bit rushed and I am annoyed that our 2 1/2 hour experience only lasted just short of 2 hours. I like to get what I pay for. Overall the good communication from employees and the obvious effort on the part of the staff to make it an enjoyable experience makes up for most of the negatives. I was hoping my experience was a dream at Dream Day Spa because I've never left a spa feeling like a LOST an hour of my life and $200. We called Friday afternoon on the way to Roseville to see if we could book a massage appointment at a spa with a common area for us to hang out/relax after our massages. We called Dream Day Spa and spoke with Meghan (the owner.) She stated that they did in fact have a hang out/relax common area and that we could utilize it after our massages. Originally she did not have any availability but said she would see what she could do to set something up for us. We called her back 30 minutes later and she was able to set something up for us first thing on Saturday. We were told to arrive at 5 min before our 11am appt for a 90 min couples massage. I would give that experience FIVE STARS. Then it went downhill from there on Saturday. We arrived at 10:55am and seemed to have surprised the receptionist with our arrival. She said she needed some additional time to vacuum but checked us in as we waited. We were checked in and escorted to the room for our couples massage. The massages themselves were nothing impressive. My masseuse (a male) seemed to have little to no experience. He asked if I had any specific areas I wanted worked on. I mentioned my legs because I had just finished the Chicago Marathon a week prior. The massage was lackluster to say the least. He basically spent 20 minutes rubbing my feet, then 20 minutes rubbing my back and neck and then 9 minutes on my calves and 1 minute on my thighs and that was that. How did that allocation of time make sense? Then the massage ended in 50 minutes. I was shocked because I knew we booked a longer massage but was happy the horrible experience was over. Then we were told to get dressed and that we could check out with the receptionist. In no way were we told to relax in a common area (as we were told.) Another disappointment. We mentioned the confusion to the receptionist and she stated that she saw that one of us was booked for 90 minutes and one for 50 minutes. How does that work for a couples massage? In addition, there was no common/relaxation area in the spa. She didn't seem to care or seemed aware of our frustration and did not even apologize for our expectations not being met. Then at the end, she had the audacity to ask if we wanted to a punch card? No thanks. We don't expect to be back and I would never recommend this to anyone else. read more

This place is quaint and cozy! This a Mom and Pop place which is what makes it even better! They take the time to make sure you're very well taken care of! They even had our names and our Robe cards! Everything was perfect from the steam room to the massage! The massage is the piece de resistance! They ask you where your trouble spots are before hand and as they go along work on the trouble spots they find. The front end staff is sweet and kind too, they made sure we were well taken care of! When they say Dream Day Spa, they aren't wrong. For starters, I had actually booked a spa day at a different spa, that spa called me 30 minutes before my first appointment and canceled on me. I called dream Day spa, and spoke directly to the owner Megan, she was so sweet on the phone, apologized for THE OTHER SPA, and was determined to squeeze me in, she and employees definitely made my day exactly what I had hoped for. On the phone she told me the only thing they couldn't do was give me the facial part of the spa package that I wanted, however when I arrived she had been able to move some things around to make sure I got one! That was amazing. I got the "Dreamy Day at the Spa" package...(Steam Room Experience, Basalt Stone Foot Soak, Hour Swedish Massage, SOK Tub Experience, Rejuvenating Facial, Sugar Glow Body Scrub, Spa Lunch, Bliss Experience, Appetizers and Beverages)! The Steam room wasn't available(due to Covid), but they substituted that for paraffin for my hands and feet! That was a great way to start my spa day, after my foot soak! That was a perfect lead into my relaxing day. Next with my facial, all I can say is that it was exactly what I wanted and needed! My face feels new/great and it was so relaxing. After my facial, I was led into my sugar glow body scrub and SOK tub, that made my body feel so soft, and the tub was the definition of dreamy. Next they gave me lunch, from La BOU, and they made sure that my allergies were tended to! It was so nice to not have to worry about some thing like that during my day. Lastly was my massage, that was so relaxing I could've fallen asleep. However the one downside for me was that I had expressed multiple times that my neck was causing me a lot of pain, and the massage therapist didn't spend more than five minutes on that, but had spent at least 15 minutes on each of my feet. It felt really good, and was super relaxing for any other day, I just felt that I had expressed what was causing me pain, and that wasn't given much attention. Everyone in the spa was so sweet, and seemed genuinely focused on making my spa day perfect. Overall, I would say that this is probably the best day spa I have ever been to. All day I felt like I was a queen, I felt totally Pampered and relaxed. (I know I keep saying relaxed but all day I felt like I was in a dream, seriously) I love that it is a small business, and the owner herself is so sweet and attentive! My girlfriend had her baby shower celebration here this past weekend and the guests were encouraged to celebrate with a massage or facial. I booked a mini-facial and was excited to try this spot out. I was also excited to Yelp about my experience. The spa is located on the second floor and parking is accessible in the back or on the street. The staff welcomed me and brought me to the room with the fellow girls in our party. I was handed a drink of choice and appetizers. Lots of yummy goodies. They told me about how wonderful the membership was and I was provided with a mimosa..Megan was there and we all had a great conversation...When I first scheduled I did explained what I wanted and what parts of my body that need deep tissue message. So Megan had me changed and get started with the message...and the room was so peaceful. Megan was really good with the message since I have chronic neck and upper back pain and neuropathy...omg I'm in heaven she would make sure I was ok with the pressure less or more. I would let her know. It felt good, when all done I ended up getting the monthly membership...I am very pleased to say I found that message place and it is a day dream message because the next day.I was still feeling like cloud nine..I will take pictures next time. I was not offered any drinks and when I asked... I was called out "NOT FRIENDLY TO STAFF" To be honest, if people are going to the sauna and it's 11AM, why are there no WATER BOTTLES? Yet offered water ? The massages were not relaxing at all and masseuse used elbows too. When I emailed them back, they made excuses and even wrote out "We are okay with you deciding not to come back to us." ---WITH a smiley face. At the end of the reply of my review. Sorry for the long review I'm about to give but I must give details..... My girlfriend took me to "Dream Day Spa" for my birthday 7-31-14. Carey gave me a wonderful facial but the rest of the experience was a total disappointment. We arrived 10 min before our scheduled noon appointments (booked 3 weeks ago) only to be told by the receptionist that we were not listed. My friend said she had scheduled and that someone had even taken her credit card info. After some time this prompted the girl to look in another place and she found the reservation. So she took us back to the waiting area and left us. She came back 15 minutes later and told my friend to get in a robe for her foot massage but my friend said it was me getting that service. The girl left and did not return for another 20 minutes. So there we sat. When she did return she said one of the estheticians went into labor and was not available. She asked if one of us would take a massage instead. My friend said she would but reminded her we had now been waiting 25 min past our appointment with no information and no drinks or snacks. The girl then told me to get on a robe and come back to waiting room. While I was changing she yelled into the dressing room and asked if I wanted champagne. When I came out there was a glass of champagne waiting for me but no snacks. She then told my friend to go into the steam room even though she had not had any time to drink her champagne. So now my friend is in steam room and I'm in waiting room about to get my foot and leg massage in this public room from the receptionist. She does bring me 4 crackers w/cheese, 10 grapes and 3 1/2 orange slices. My friend eventually gets only fruit to go with her now warm champagne. During what is supposed to be a relaxing massage 2 other ladies come into the waiting room between their services then they are out in the hall talking loudly. No one asks them to be quiet. When my friend is done with the steam she also comes into the room. I don't know about you but I like a little peace and quiet during a massage even if it is only my feet and legs. I ask for a 2nd glass of champagne to try to relax a bit more. Suddenly the massage is over and I'm rushed off to my facial w/o finishing my "snacks" or getting the 2nd glass of champagne. I'm assuming both will be waiting for me when I am done. No such luck. Neither are there. I go find someone and ask for the champagne while I'm waiting for my friend to finish her massage. I'm told they ran out and need to go shopping. Very poor planning and management. They also ran out of paper towels in the restroom and made no effort to replace them when I mentioned it before my friend went in to use it. Finally my friend is done and it's time to pay and leave. I want to tip both the receptionist for my foot massage and the esthetician but they have no envelopes to put the money in. So I hand it all over to the receptionist on the hope she will pass it along. We are each handed a bag from our technician. But unlike what others mentioned, there are no product samples, only a business card and one Hershey's kiss. Big deal!!! Then I find out how much my friend paid for our less then positive experience. $35 for her 5 minute Steam Room "Experience," $30 to publicly soak my feet in a ceramic bowl with rocks on the bottom. This place is a disorganized rip-off. For $75 you can get a massage, healthy snacks, and use of the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and showers at Arden Hills in Sacramento. I was very underwhelmed by the experience. I expected a lot more from this spa considering the price and having so many other positive reviews. Its a makeshift spa in an old victorian house, the curtain "room dividers" didn't offer much privacy and it definitely could have been a cleaner facility. The massage was the only enjoyable part, but it lasted 45 minutes at best. The foot soak was just a bowl of hot water with stones, which would be ok but they left us soaking for way too long and the water was cold. The most frustrating part was they didn't even do the wax hand treatment and massage. They were trying to close and rushed us out without doing everything we had paid for, and that's just not acceptable. Maybe it was just an off day but I wouldn't recommend based on my experience. read more

I have been to the spa 2 times in the past month to celebrate birthdays. Both times were fabulous. The visit today was the couple package for me and my boyfriend. What a fantastic experience. We did the steam room, foot soak, sugar scrub, tub soak, and massage. The snack, lunch, and mimosas were excellent. The staff is accomadating and on point. They took great care of us with every service. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for the great service! read more

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CREDIT CARD... Not only was I overcharged multiple times but when my wife called to reconcile they argued and tried to keep it as a credit on our account... We only had the membership for a month which is like $100 but they charged me over $450... We cancelled once we got our money back but they again charged us for 2 massages and the membership the next month, EVEN THOUGH WE NEVER CAME BACK. I had to call my bank and file a claim for fraud to stop these people from charging me. Total scam artists. read more

This place is my absolute favorite. I'm a massage junkie and have been all over the greater sacramento area experimenting with different spots. This place FAR out does the rest with price and service. The ambience is perfect- relaxing and quiet. They serve you snacks throughout the entire time, even in the Steam Room (which is stocked with luxurious shampoos & conditioners so you can bath in the steam room too) and they really think of everything when it comes to the massage- heated moist towels, soft sheets and heavy blankets to wrap you, lavender wraps, mist, scented oils, etc. etc. I've had facials, couples massages, hot stone massages, foot soaks, everything! The robes are soft, you get your own private changing area, there are ample magazines to browse and little goodies they send with you when you go. The only thing I'd like to see if some sort of 'loyal customer' reward program- Only because I visit them so frequently I'd love to have the occasional discount or free massage as a thank you!
